“Samantha was fantastic with our two large dogs! Rai is blind and Sugar is still a puppy. She managed them both well, was attentive and responsive to our concerns. We will absolutely have her back to stay with them.”

About: I'm a pet-loving mother of four with three children in college—and enjoying the wonderful pets I have met through this site. I have lived in Scotch Plains for almost 15 years. I watch several dogs regularly on a private basis and am excited to be part of the Rover community. I grew up with a beloved menagerie that included three cats, two beloved dachshunds and a poodle and have enjoyed watching a variety of dogs, including a bulldog, a French bulldog, a Bernese, a labradoodle, and, of course, mixed breeds. I love walking and daily yoga and look forward to helping your pets get the fresh air, activity and affection they need when you are working or otherwise busy. I am a freelance writer with a flexible schedule and have time for walks and visits before or after work and at lunchtime. Having raised a family, I know how important it is to have a pet sitter who is mature and reliable and understands how deeply you love your pets--and am honored to assist you in keeping them happy and healthy. While I would love to help every pet, I am petite, so my ideal sized pets are under 50 pounds. I am a freelance writer with a flexible schedule and my own car. I rise early every day, and I am often available on weekends. I am often available at lunch time to clients who need their dogs walked mid day. I am a mature, reliable and organized mother of four and will treat your beloved and adorable pet like a member of my own family.

“We were in desperate need of someone we could trust to watch our anxious rescue pup, Piper, during our wedding weekend. Lana was extremely patient with both Piper, and my husband and I, even agreeing to meet us several times before the stay to get us all comfortable. Thank you Lana for taking great care of Piper, we will definitely be contacting her again if we ever need someone to dog sit Piper in the future.”

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, we booked Angelica at the last minute. Luckily, she was available and flexible enough to arrive at 6am and take care of Archie all day. Communication was excellent, and Angelica sent pics throughout the day. Will definitely book Angelica again.”

“Gianna was fantastic with our senior pup, Lily. She was happy, healthy, and well fed when we got home. Our house was clean, and everything was in order. Thank you!”

About: Since high school, I’ve always had pets around me. When I was full-time Army stationed in Alaska, my leadership asked me to dog sit their pets and ever since then I was the go to dog sitter for our Company. I sometimes spent weeks juggling getting to work in the early mornings and getting home in time to take care of their pets and their homes. I enjoyed taking care of their dogs on the day to day! Im renovating my family’s new house and working in the New Jersey Army National Guard so I appreciate getting some steps in and spending time with pets. I like spending time with pets because they live in the moment. I talk and run with them sometimes when on walks to make them feel comfortable with me.

I care for these animals like I would want my dog to be cared for. I’m very compassionate and detail oriented. I will do whatever the owner instructs and provide updates with pictures. I have 2 part time jobs currently so I have random time gaps throughout the day to fill. I will be starting graduate school in September and will also still have some random time gaps throughout the day and I’m looking to fill them with some animal love. I pay close attention to details left by owners about their pets care plan. I treat every animal with love and compassion like they are my own pet. I care for pets like I with the same high standards I have for anyone who cares my own pet. I provide updates and pictures while I’m caring for pets so the owners know their animal is safe and in good hands.

About: I have experience both cat sitting and dog sitting for owners who have been out of town for extended periods of time. I have also cared for my family dog and own personal cat! I am currently working full time, so I am available for morning and/or evening care, overnight stays as well as weekend care! I currently cannot offer care in my own home because of my own pet. Emma did a great job watching our dog this weekend at our house. She sent many updates and left our house clean- much appreciated!

We couldn’t be more grateful to Quinn for the incredible care she gave our older dog while we were away. From the start, she was kind, attentive, and truly caring — it was clear she treated our dog like her own. Quinn took the time to understand her needs and routine, and her thoughtful updates gave us so much peace of mind while we were gone. Our dog is older and Quinn handled everything with such patience and love. We came home to a happy, relaxed dog — a true testament to the wonderful care Riley received. Highly recommend Quinn to anyone looking for a trustworthy, compassionate sitter!

Appreciated the updates and pictures. Dogs were well cared for and looked like they had a great time!

Alissa was absolutely wonderful! Prior to our vacation she came over to meet our dog, Nola, for a meet and greet so Nola could get used to her. She even came early the day we left so that Nola had someone home with her when we left. During our vacation Alissa sent tons of photos and updates. We were even shocked to see photos of Nola laying with her as she normally hides upstairs when we aren’t there. The house was left immaculate and clean. She truly was so easy to work with and took amazing care of our dog. We highly recommend her and are looking forward to using her again.

Carlee was with Sputnik for almost a week and she was amazing with him. She kept us updated on his activities and sent pics of him throughout the week. She truly loves animals and we can see that in the way she takes care of our sweet Sputnik - she's great!!!
