“Xiomara took such good care of our cats! She sent lots of pictures every day. The cats were clearly happy and cared for. She was also very patient and helpful when my Litter Robot had some tech issues!”

“Carlie met my dog Finley ahead of the time of her visit. She instantly bonded with my dog and provided feedback on her first visit with her. She walked her played within her in our home with Finleys favorite toys. I will definitely ask her to come able and highly recommend Carlie.”

“Kat is a true animal whisperer. She took excellent care of my two senior cats and even got my shy girl to come out of her favorite hiding spot for some cuddles. Trustworthy, reliable and communicative. I recommend her highly!”

About: I had a Yorkshire Terrier who lived for almost 16 years. After he passed away, I found a small puppy on the street. I took care of him and eventually couldn't give him away. Now Lucky—that's his name—is 4 years old and weighs 75 lbs. I'm very comfortable with dogs and have a good understanding of their behavior and what they need. You could say I have over 20 years of experience with dogs, and even more if you count cats. If your dog loves to run, I can take him to a park with unpaved trails (I can explain why I prefer unpaved trails) and ride alongside him on my bicycle. I have a protective dog cover for the back seat of my car and a leash that can be attached to a bicycle. I also periodically donate money to people who rescue and care for orphaned and homeless dogs. I have enough time to handle this job, plus I truly love dogs and cats, so it's honestly more of a hobby than a job. First, I sit on the floor next to the dog. When my eyes are almost at the same level as the dog's eyes, they feel no aggression from the stranger. When the dog gets used to me and my presence doesn't disturb him/her, I start playing with him/her (I can't call them 'it'). I've fed orphaned and homeless dogs before and know how to approach them. Once I spent 5 hours (I'm not kidding) saving a homeless dog who had fallen into a water drainage and couldn't get out.

“Katie was fantastic with our cats!! They warmed up to her right away and we loved receiving her updates and pictures throughout our time away from them. Thank you, Katie!! :)”

“Jordyn is great with our cat and dog! Jordyn has been helping out with our dog for the past couple of months and was eager to help with our cat while we were traveling as well. She is always communicative and kind!”

“Leigh is a gem!! I’m so happy I found her to look after my cats. This is my 3rd time booking with her and she is great! She takes lots of pictures and gives sweet updates.”

“Eleni is very caring and attentive to my dog's needs. It is reassuring to know she pays attention to the details. Eleni makes sure my dog is fed and goes on a nice long walk. Afterwards she spends time in the house with her turning on calming music before she leaves. She definitely has my dog's best interests at heart. Eleni is reliable and a great asset to have. We'll be using her again for sure.”

“Sam took great care of my 2 senior dogs. She came exactly as we arranged and was very communicative. Would ask Sam to take care of my dogs again without hesitation. Thanks Sam!”

“V was fantastic. She came over to meet our two dogs before our scheduled visit and both dogs immediately loved her. It’s clear she’s a dog lover! We will absolutely be reaching out again in the future”
About: I've had dogs all my life, the most recently i had a awesome miniature poodle who I was fortunate to love and care for 17 years, so I am familiar with the needs of senior dogs. My schedule is fairly open every day after about 9 or ten am. I'd like a regular opportunity, but one offs will be good as well I am available for pet sitting at the clients home, but due to younger kids I can accommodate pets at my home. Walking and feeding and playing is ideal
“This was our first time using Alissa and she is a five star sitter for sure! She was fantastic with our dogs and I cannot recommend her enough. She did exactly what we asked and gave us a thorough report afterwards. We will definitely ask her to return!”

About: I’ve been taken care of dogs since I was a kid. I always had love for dogs in all sizes and their different personalities. Since having a dog on my own last year I’ve learned to practice training and grooming all by myself. I love to spend lots of time to make sure our furry friends stays healthy and happy with full attention and care. I am currently at home most of the time which I spend my day with my dog. I take walks daily morning, afternoon, and night. Feel free to ask for availability. I live in a condo. My dog Bagel is a friendly 4 year old girl that is friendly and full of energy. Treats, toys, extra leash, water bowl could be provided. (If needed) I have Pet First Aid/CPR certification for emergencies.
“Chloe is a rare find. She is incredibly thorough and buttoned up- beyond organized with a binder of notes and questions upon meeting you and your pet. She’s exceptionally responsive to check in requests and always goes above and beyond. I came home last night to my mail brought in and she even brought our recycle bin up from the curb. I highly recommend her! So does Oliver ;)”

I primarily have hosted animals in my house, but I also have experience going to other houses to care for animals. I love animals and I can't wait to connect with you! Caleigh is awesome, highly recommend!! She’s so sweet, nice, and patient with my two cats, trying to know them and respect their own personalities. Also, one of my cats is on treatment right now, and requires diff drugs, and she is amazing with burrito them and giving them drug! Caleigh is also very easy to communicate and accommodate various caring tips for my cats! I am soooooo happy and grateful that I found her! Thank you for taking care of my babies!

Sam was an amazing sitter who took wonderful care of our cats, Kanga and Smokey. She sent us daily updates and photos, which made us feel completely reassured while we were away. When our return was unexpectedly delayed, she graciously extended her stay and continued caring for them. Sam is dependable, thoughtful, and clearly loves animals. We feel incredibly lucky to have found her and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!

Last-minute trip and poor planning on our part, but Victoria came through for us. She was reliable, communicative, and took great care of our kitties while we were away. It gave us real peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again. Highly recommend!

Sheila was a life saver for me when I needed to find someone to check on my dogs during the day while at the office. Keanu and Wiley don’t like just anyone but they liked her immediately. Sheila was shrewd enough to ask me if she had to worry about either of the dogs escaping when she comes in, and she was right to ask because my girl Wiley will sometimes be in the mood for a freedom run achieved by escaping between someone’s legs if they hangout with the door open too long! Very professional, great to work with

We were beyond pleased with the service (and so was our kitty). Stephanie came through for us at the last minute on top of that as well. Everything was kept neat and clean, and although our cat is not the most social kitty, she did not seem at all upset by the presence of a new person in our home and everything stayed right on schedule for her. I could not recommend Stephanie enough and we will definitely use her again in the future!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
