“Eleni is an amazing, reliable and caring person who truly love animals. Tucker gets very excited when he sees her and she takes time to ensure he is happy and comfortable ❤️. I highly recommend Eleni!”

“Chloe is a rare find. She is incredibly thorough and buttoned up- beyond organized with a binder of notes and questions upon meeting you and your pet. She’s exceptionally responsive to check in requests and always goes above and beyond. I came home last night to my mail brought in and she even brought our recycle bin up from the curb. I highly recommend her! So does Oliver ;)”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommend! I couldn’t be happier with the care my cats received. I needed someone to stop by twice a day while I was out of town to handle feeding, litter, and give one of my cats thyroid medication (which requires consistent twice-daily dosing), and she was absolutely fantastic. She was flexible with scheduling and showed up exactly on time for every visit, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. It’s not easy to find someone reliable—especially when medication is involved—but she handled everything perfectly. Best of all, my cats clearly loved her. She took the time to play with them and give them attention, which made a big difference. I would absolutely hire her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable, caring pet sitter.”

“Anthony is awesome! This was his 2nd time taking care of my dog, and has been reliable and responsive. Thanks to him I can have worry-free trips, and Loki gets a companion to play with. Top dog sitter, five stars!”

About: Hi there I’m Amaya, a lifelong animal lover and local pet care provider ready to give your furry family member the love, exercise and attention they deserve! I’m a pet owner myself so I understand the importance of knowing they aren’t just pets- they are family, which is why it is important for you to find someone you trust to care for them when you are away…and I can help! •Focus on safety •Routine Consistency (feeding, house rules, walking) As a graduate student, my schedule allows me to be available during those crucial hours when your furry friend needs a potty break and fresh air most. Your furry friend’s safety is my absolute priority. As a student I’m used to high responsibility and attention to detail. I know routine change can be stressful for pets, so I focus on creating a calm, predictable environment.

“Katie took such great care of our dog while we were on vacation! We were nervous about him staying home alone for the week but she was extremely attentive, sent us tons of pictures and updates and made sure our pup was cared for. We will definitely be using her again!”

“Sam is always on time, communicative, and ready to interact with Boss whether it is an attempted walk in this current heat, play time in the backyard, lick mat moments, or lots of pets & cuddles. We appreciate the love she gives Boss when we’re out for an extended period!”

“Elaine does such a good job with our mini schnauzer! She gives him the love and attention he needs when we are not available to be there for him and she sends timely communications and updates about her visits with him. We highly recommend Elaine!”

“This is the second time we are using Sara’s service, so this review is for our previous experience as well as this experience with Sara as our cat sitter: Sara is not just a cat sitter, she’s a care taker in general. She would keep the place clean, spend time with our cat Titan, send us prompt updates with pics and vids of Titan. She communicates very well and is a very kind person. We left a list of things to do for Titan’s care - she went above and beyond. We trust her so much and she is the ideal person you’d leave your precious animals with. You can always count on Sara!”

“Thank you so much Alissa!!! She took amazing care of our cats while we were away. She took the time to come meet us before our trip, and left incredibly thoughtful notes and wonderful pictures while we were gone. We felt like we didn’t have to stress at all. We can’t tell you how much we appreciate it!!!”

“V was fantastic. She came over to meet our two dogs before our scheduled visit and both dogs immediately loved her. It’s clear she’s a dog lover! We will absolutely be reaching out again in the future”

My schedule is fairly open every day after about 9 or ten am. My day is entirely structured around the needs of the pups in my care. Mornings start early with fresh water, breakfast, and a neighborhood walk to stretch our legs. Throughout the day, I maintain a consistent schedule of potty breaks, lots of play time, and plenty of love. Whether you are at work or on vacation, your pup is my top priority from sunrise to bedtime. I love letting your fur babies outside to burn off their energy, and when it's time to wind down, I'm always ready for lots of playtime and cuddles. In my home, I have a fenced yard in my apartment for pets who will stay the day with me.
“Bridget has done a great job with Winnie! She’s always on time, respectful of my home and attentive to Winnie and her needs (has even tried some training with her during her walks!).”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - New Providence
Katherine was amazing! Helped me in a bind with my cat who has medical needs (he’s diabetic) and needed insulin! She was timely, sweet and had quick responses which helped reassure me given his strict needs to medication. Would love to have her again and would recommend her!

Sheila was a life saver for me when I needed to find someone to check on my dogs during the day while at the office. Keanu and Wiley don’t like just anyone but they liked her immediately. Sheila was shrewd enough to ask me if she had to worry about either of the dogs escaping when she comes in, and she was right to ask because my girl Wiley will sometimes be in the mood for a freedom run achieved by escaping between someone’s legs if they hangout with the door open too long! Very professional, great to work with

We were beyond pleased with the service (and so was our kitty). Stephanie came through for us at the last minute on top of that as well. Everything was kept neat and clean, and although our cat is not the most social kitty, she did not seem at all upset by the presence of a new person in our home and everything stayed right on schedule for her. I could not recommend Stephanie enough and we will definitely use her again in the future!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
