My love for animals and passion to become a veterinarian means that your dog or cat will get great care and have an even greater time! I work as a veterinary technician at a large animal shelter in New Jersey, so I am very knowledgeable in how to handle all sizes! I am certified in First Aid and CPR through a training program, as well as trained in triage and comfortable with medicinal administration/injections, so your pet will always be safe and in excellent hands. I am also a foster through the animal shelter and have had a fantastic experience caring for species of all ages and providing them with the love and care they need. Animals are always a family member to me and I'd love to make your animal my family member as well! As a graduated Masters student in veterinary medicine at Rutgers University, I had extensive experience with animals of all kinds daily, including companion animals, farm animals, and exotic animals. I love handling a variety of animals and creating a bond with them, as well as building a comforting, personal relationship with my pet parents to ensure a smooth, happy stay for all! Safety and care is very important to me, as I know how animals are members of the family. Animals in my care are monitored consistently in my care and their safety is my priority, whether it be for playtime, feeding, walks, or stays! Additionally, communication is an important part of my work and I love being able to consistently communicate with my parents through updates and photos, as well as addressing concerns immediately for the gold standard in pet care! As well as being communicative towards pet parents with updates and photos about how their pet is doing, I am transparent about anything that needs to be addressed and provide clear guidelines about certain situations, such as introductions to other dogs and yard and home safety! Additionally, I ask for clear written instructions to ensure pet parents are given exactly what they need, whether it be through feeding regimen, medicinal administration, or any other special needs for your pet!

As usual Caleigh was amazing. I’m always so nervous leaving my cats but especially with one needing insulin twice a day. I’m so grateful for Caleigh that she is so patient and kind to my babies while we are away. When she comes I know I can relax and know they are well taken care of and loved.

Caleigh is incredible! I was super nervous as we were going away for the first time since one of our cats is diabetic and requires insulin 2x per day. This cat is also a bit difficult and standoff-ish. Caleigh came in, she built a relationship with both cats and was so patient with our difficult baby. She was able to give her all of her shots. We also have construction going on in our home and while I was panicked about leaving them while this was going on - Caleigh was cool, calm, and collected. She sent photos and a detailed overview of how they did each day. It was such a relief knowing she was there to care for them and took the time out to make sure they were comfortable with her. I would book Caleigh again in a heartbeat- she’s amazing!!

Schedule
Although I work as a vet technician, my job and scheduling is fairly flexible to allow for working out schedules with my pet parents! I am upfront about whether or not what you need works for me and have many references to assist in helping you find the perfect sitter if need be!

- Certain things I'd love to know about your pet ahead of time include: ◇ Meet and greet to understand the pet's behavior towards me before the service ◇ Allergies or medical conditions (seizures, heart disease, arthritis, etc.) ◇ Reactivity towards other animals or children ◇ Any behavioral issues such as food or toy aggression, excessive jumping, etc. ◇ Food allergies of any kind! ◇ Medication administration ◇ Scheduling for feedings, walks, and bedtimes ◇ Any and all questions and concerns you have for me! ◇ As much information as needed for the stay to ensure a happy and safe service for you, your pet and myself!
