About: I have been taking care of and pet sitting animals, whether it be my own, my family’s or friends basically my whole life. More recently, I have been involved with The Seeing Eye since 2018, as a puppy sitter as well as a volunteer Puppy Raiser, and I have been bathing and grooming dogs professionally since early 2021, working with little puppies for their first grooms all the way up to senior dogs who need a little more love and patience during the grooming process. I have several years of experience working with puppies on basic obedience, and potty training. In addition, I have a 6 year old german shepherd who I have raised and trained myself who I love with my whole heart. I currently work 5 days a week as a groomer, however my schedule can be flexible. I am available most nights after 6 pm and all day Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I do not pet sit in my own home, as I live in a small apartment. However, I would be more than happy to stay over a clients home if needed!
“Jillian did a great job with my puppy. My puppy was a bit nervous around her as it was the first time meeting her without me, but Jillian managed to gain her trust and take her out for her potty break. Well done!”

“Jordyn is great with our cat and dog! Jordyn has been helping out with our dog for the past couple of months and was eager to help with our cat while we were traveling as well. She is always communicative and kind!”

“V was fantastic. She came over to meet our two dogs before our scheduled visit and both dogs immediately loved her. It’s clear she’s a dog lover! We will absolutely be reaching out again in the future”
“Xiomara was amazing and so reliable! I was nervous leaving my cat home alone but she made it easy to relax and enjoy my vacation! She is wonderful and took great care of my cat and I would definitely recommend her for your pet needs! Thank you Xiomara <3”

“We had a fantastic experience with Nicole! This was our first time leaving our cat while we were away, and we couldn’t have asked for a better person to look after her. She was punctual, very communicative throughout our trip, and clearly took great care of our cat—she seemed happy, relaxed, and well looked after when we got home. We would absolutely recommend her and will definitely be reaching out again for future trips!”

“Anne has done an amazing job with my little ones, making sure they were fed, had clean water, had their daily portion of favorite snacks/veggies and daily portion of cuddles. We love her !”

“Katie was fantastic with our cats!! They warmed up to her right away and we loved receiving her updates and pictures throughout our time away from them. Thank you, Katie!! :)”

About: I have experience caring for small-medium sized dogs for the past 15 years for neighbors, family members, friends, coworkers, and even my professors! I love taking dogs to play and socialize at dog parks and for long walks around the neighborhood so they can get their daily exercise. I work remotely so i have plenty of time to care for your dog throughout the day as my schedule can be flexible. It’s my therapy! I will make sure that your dog has access to water at all times and food when recommended. Your dog will have all their needs met from long walks outside, good play time, proper training if desired, and many many hugs and kisses. For longer care, I also send daily picture updates of your doggy!
About: I had a Yorkshire Terrier who lived for almost 16 years. After he passed away, I found a small puppy on the street. I took care of him and eventually couldn’t give him away. Now Lucky—that’s his name—is 4 years old and weighs 70 lbs. I’m very comfortable with dogs and have a good understanding of their behavior and what they need. You could say I have over 20 years of experience with dogs, and if you count cats, even more. If your dog loves to run, I can take him to a park with unpaved trails (I can explain why I prefer unpaved trails) and ride alongside him on my bicycle. I have a protective dogs cover for the back seat of my car and a leash that can be attached to a bicycle. For a dog’s safety when running alongside a bicycle, a harness is much better than a collar. I can provide a size L harness. I just need to know about this type of walk ahead of time because I don’t carry my bicycle with me all the time. You can’t imagine how happy my Lucky is when he gets to run alongside me! I always ride at a speed that is comfortable for him. I also periodically donate money to people who rescue and care for orphaned and homeless dogs. I am between jobs. I left one company and seeking for a job. Meanwhile my good friend who is working in this platform advised me to take care of other peoples’ dogs. She said: “Why meanwhile don’t you help others with their dogs, when you understand them so well”. So I am here. First I sit at the floor next to the dog. When my eyes are almost at the same level as dogs eyes, they fill no aggression from the stranger. When dog gets used to me and my presence does not disturb, I start playing with him/her (cannot call them ‘it’). I fed orphan and homeless dogs before and have approach to them. Once I was saving for 5 hours (I am not kidding) a homeless dog who fell to water drainage and couldn’t come out.

“Alex did a great job with my two cats while I was away for 9 days. Both cats were in great shape when I returned. She quickly learned how our automatic feeder worked so the cats had a second soft meal each day. She helped keep things tidy. She is great with cats and plays with them. I'll request Alex next time I'm away!”

About: I love dogs and have taken care of them from a young age. Neighbors and friends always rely on me to care for their dogs when they are away. I have a 1.5 year old Australian shepherd mix that I adopted last year. I care for your dogs like they are my own! I work from home so I would love to help out with daily walks and dog drop ins. I am available on weekends for pet care 24/7. In my home, I take my dog for walks three times per day. At night my dog is crate trained and loves to enjoy her alone time in there for sleep. In client homes I typically take dogs for a walk unless the owner prefers otherwise. I treat your home with respect.
About: Hi I’m Tara! I grew up my entire life with anywhere from 1-3 dogs and have a hard time not saying hello to every dog I pass on the sidewalk. I have a spacious one bedroom apartment for your dog to play around in, I also live on a quiet residential street and can play all day long! Although I don’ t have a crate, I am happy to crate your dog if you’d like to bring one!

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Madison
Emma was amazing with Bronson. She took great care of him while we were away and he was happy and relaxed when we got home. He loved her from their first meet and greet, so we felt very comfortable leaving Bronson with Emma. We would be happy to use Emma again and recommend her to others.

Leigh is our go-to sitter. She takes wonderful care of our fur babies every time, leaves lots of pictures and helpful notes each day, and follows medication instructions for our cat with a thyroid condition to the letter. Leaving our pets in her care gives us complete peace of mind. We are grateful to have found her!
Kendall saved our plans after our usual sitter flaked out at the last minute. She came by the day before to meet the dogs with pretty much no notice. One of our puppies is very high energy and I could tell that he'd been run around enough while we were gone. She was very communicative and kept us updated all day. I'm sure we'll be using her again!

I highly recommend Emily! She was able to check in on Ellie and JimBob on very short notice, which I appreciated so much. Ellie is elderly and can be difficult to care for, but Emily handled everything with patience, compassion, and genuine love for animals. She kept me informed, made sure the dogs were comfortable, and gave Ellie the gentle care she needs. I truly felt at ease knowing they were in her hands. I’ll definitely booking with her again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
