“Paola was the best!! She gave us such thorough updates, which gave us a great sense of how Milo and Swift were doing throughout our 2-week trip. We honestly loved reading them! She also played with them and did daily walkthroughs, which made us much less worried about them being lonely or getting into trouble in our absence.”

“This was the first time using Rover & Kristin was an Amazing sitter. She was on time, very communicative and so nice. We didn’t worry about Lilo while she came to do daily drop ins. The pics and recaps were so sweet. You can tell Kristin is an animal lover and treats her furry clients as if they were her own. I HIGHLY recommend her 🙂”

“Paula was wonderful! She made our weekend away stress free - I didn’t have to worry at all since our dog was in such good hands. She is very communicative and her pics were so cute. It is very evident that Paula loves dogs! I highly recommend her.”

About: I’ve grown up in a house filled with dogs and cats my whole life. In the last year, I have turned taking care of animals into a part time gig and am looking to do more of it! I currently work some nights in the evening but usually fill my days with walks and drop ins and am looking to increase the amount of families I help. I promise to be very respectful of your home and take care of your pets the way I would hope someone would take care of mine.
“Bridget was wonderful with our shy, asthmatic cat! She's a kind and communicative sitter, and our cat warmed right up. Bridget was able to give Bean her daily inhaler and was quick to identify when she needed her emergency inhaler. We would absolutely book Bridget again!”

“Isaac was great and communicated well! We had a last minute outing to see some family and didn’t want to leave Jolie for 8 hours. Isaac kept her great company and sent lots of pictures so we knew she was happy while we were out!”

“Nicole was fantastic looking after my cat. He’s 16 and can be grumpy but she got him to socialize a bit and even eat treats from her hand. She’s really good with him and great at communication with me while I was away. Definitely will use Nicole’s services again.”
“I cannot recommend Donna enough. I was extremely anxious leaving my 2 cats for a week but Donna kept my mind at ease and I didn't have to worry for a second. She took so many pictures, sent updates twice a day, and gave lots of pets and love to my boys. I will 100% book again in the future. Thank you so much for being so amazing Donna, you made my vacation so much more enjoyable and stress free 💜”

“Anne has done an amazing job with my little ones, making sure they were fed, had clean water, had their daily portion of favorite snacks/veggies and daily portion of cuddles. We love her !”

Emma was amazing with Bronson. She took great care of him while we were away and he was happy and relaxed when we got home. He loved her from their first meet and greet, so we felt very comfortable leaving Bronson with Emma. We would be happy to use Emma again and recommend her to others.

Vanessa was fantastic and professional when she came to our house to walk our dog Roxy. She was prompt, able to calmly interact with our special needs dog and provided multiple pictures and updates during her one hour stay! We will be using her as a regular sitter from now on!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
