Briana has been an absolute lifesaver! I booked her on very short notice when a work trip came up unexpectedly, and she was incredibly accommodating and easy to coordinate with. My dog, Phoebe, is quite shy and reactive, which can be challenging for anyone new, but Briana handled her with so much patience, care, and understanding. Knowing Phoebe was in such capable and reliable hands gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. I will definitely be using Briana again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate dog walker!

About: Hi! My name is Hannah, and I absolutely love animals of all kinds. I currently have 4 cats, 1 dog, and a horse, so caring for animals is a huge part of my everyday life! I have experience with pets of all personalities — from sassy calicos with lots of attitude to nervous, anxious furry friends who need extra patience and love. I understand that every pet is unique, and I always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. Whether your pet loves lots of playtime or prefers a calm and gentle approach, I’m happy to accommodate their needs. I’m currently available for drop-in visits and dog walks, and I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your pets! :) I have a very flexible schedule. I am available Monday through Friday at any time. I can definitely do mid day drop ins! I am available on weekends as well! I’m a lifelong animal lover with hands-on experience caring for cats, dogs, and horses every day. I’m patient, attentive, and understand that every pet has their own personality and needs — whether they’re playful, shy, anxious, or full of attitude!

From the moment we met her, I knew Kristen would be a perfect fit to walk our sweet fur-baby, Hamilton. Given that Hamilton is still a four-month old puppy, my husband & I weren’t willing to leave him in the care of just anyone. Right from the get-go, Kristen was sweet, playful, & affectionate with our sweet boy. Kristen was always immediately responsive to my many questions as a first-time Rover user & left detailed notes/pictures about her walks with Hamilton. I would highly recommend Kristen to anyone & everyone! Your dog will love her!!! ~Cynthia & Jay

About: As a speech therapist for 10 months out of the year, I primarily work with children and enjoy spending summers outdoors with my own dog, Cooper. I have 10 years of experience pet sitting and dog walking, through Rover as well as for friends and neighbors. I am comfortable maintaining your dog’s training and walking routines to ensure safe, fun walks together! (Cooper will stay at home, he is a whole lot of 100 lbs and receives his own walks. He does not resource guard and has never been a bite risk). I’m looking to dog walk and/or dog sit in the summer, when I am off from my public school job. This would be during the months of July and August, but depending on the hour I can be available before July (after 4:30 pm). During the summer I have a very flexible schedule. I have a fenced in yard and a split level home. I can keep our dogs separate or introduce them depending on your preference and whether they can acclimate (Cooper is a big boy but docile and friendly).

About: Hi! I’m Hannah, your biggest “animal lover”! I’m a full-time student who works two part-time jobs, one at a doggy daycare that I love every second of! I have hands-on experience supervising dogs of all sizes and energy levels, ensuring they stay safe, happy, and well cared for. With my experience, I’m comfortable with a wide range of personalities and needs. Your baby will be treated like my own — spoiled with attention, responsibly cared for, and given lots of love! 🐾 My availability is the following: • Weekdays — 12 PM-2 PM and all day after 5 PM • Tues/Weds — ONLY 12 PM-2 PM • Fri/ Sat — After 2 PM • Sun — After 7 PM • House-sitting and boarding is available at all times (contact me for requested hours/ needs) My work schedules may fluctuate, so please consider booking and contacting me ahead of time! Thank you for understanding :) Walks, playtime, you name it! You and your pups’ well-being is my top priority. I have a friendly pomeranian, Kiwi, at home who has resided with 14+ foster dogs in the past. He, and his pals, are taken on walks throughout the day when needed and are constantly attended to and played with at home. My home has an open yard, so it is essential I keep your pup leashed up for mini potty breaks to prevent any incidents :) I own a crate if needed, extra bedding, and plenty of toys and snacks to keep your puppy happy! 🐶

I recently graduated and became a certified Physician Assistant (PA)! I have off before the beginning of my job and have plenty time to watch and sit for families who need help with their animals. About: As a pet owner for more than 35 years, I understand that pets are family. I have experience caring for large-breed dogs as well as dogs that require medication and special medical attention. My favorite pastime is dog walking, and I genuinely enjoy spending time outdoors with dogs of all ages and energy levels. I am dependable, patient, and committed to providing safe, loving care so pet owners can feel confident their furry family members are in good hands. I have been a Special Education Teacher for the past 26 years and am currently enjoying my summer break from school. With a flexible summer schedule, I am available for dog walking and pet care throughout the week. Dog walking has always been one of my favorite pastimes, and I’m excited to spend my free time doing something I genuinely enjoy. Whether your dog needs a daily walk, exercise, companionship, or extra attention while you’re away, I am reliable, responsible, and ready to help. While I currently share my home with one beloved cat, I have been a dog owner for most of my adult life. After losing my three dogs, I decided not to get another dog right away, but I still deeply miss the companionship and joy that dogs bring to everyday life. I have always been the kind of dog mom who made my dogs a priority. When I had dogs, I walked them before work every morning, came home during my lunch break to take them out again since I worked less than a mile from home, and then enjoyed another walk with them in the evening. My yard is fully fenced, providing a safe space for play and exercise, but I have always believed that dogs need more than just a backyard—they need walks, attention, and quality time with their people. Caring for dogs has never felt like a chore to me; it’s something I truly enjoy. Becoming a Rover walker gives me the opportunity to spend time with dogs again while helping other pet owners ensure their furry family members receive the love, exercise, and attention they deserve. 🐾

Scott did a fabulous job walking Cessie. He sussed out the situation quickly, understanding that she might be impulsive, and handled her very well. I found him to be entirely reliable, always arriving exactly when he said he would and keeping me informed throughout the walk. I strongly recommend him as an excellent dog walker.

  • 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
