“Stella loved going for walks with Mike and always came back worn out lol which is exactly what I wanted. Mike was punctual, kind, and always treated Stella with care. Would 100% recommend him.”

“I could not recommend Carly enough! My dog had surgery and I was incredibly anxious to leave him with anyone, but I had to look around on Rover as he had to be supervised post-surgery while I went to work. Right from meeting her, both my dog and I loved her! She is so caring, accommodating, and communicative. She sent me updates and photos throughout the day. I honestly can’t wait to book her again!”

About: I’m just starting out on Rover, but I’ve grown up with dogs and been around them my whole life. I work remotely most days, so I am flexible to adjust my schedule to make sure your pet is well taken care of. The sillier and goofier your dog, the better! Whether your pet likes to go for long walks and play fetch or lounge around the house, you can be sure they will be in good hands while you’re away. I work a full-time job and am remote at least 3 days a week, so I am flexible to adjust my schedule to meet your dog’s needs. On the weekends I am looking for any excuse to be outside, so your pets will get plenty of time in the sun! My partner and I live in a house, with no other pets or children. Your pet will be my #1 priority! We have an open yard with plenty of shaded space, and some nice parks nearby. There is a neighbor that lives below us, so any dogs that bark very frequently may not be a great fit for us
“We greatly appreciate Claire for taking such good care of our dog while we were away on vacation. Claire immediately had good rapport with our dog (who is a very good judge of character) and maintained good communication with us while we were away. We felt at ease knowing our beloved dog was in Claire’s capable hands. We highly recommend Claire for all your pet care needs.”

“From the moment we met her, I knew Kristen would be a perfect fit to walk our sweet fur-baby, Hamilton. Given that Hamilton is still a four-month old puppy, my husband & I weren’t willing to leave him in the care of just anyone. Right from the get-go, Kristen was sweet, playful, & affectionate with our sweet boy. Kristen was always immediately responsive to my many questions as a first-time Rover user & left detailed notes/pictures about her walks with Hamilton. I would highly recommend Kristen to anyone & everyone! Your dog will love her!!! ~Cynthia & Jay”

“Marilyn was amazing walking my dog Maverick. She was available at a last minute notice and was very responsive throughout his walk from picking him up to saying goodbye with a summary of how it went. Definitely would recommend”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Morris Plains
Erin walked our 2 year old pit/boxer mix, Luna, for 5 days and I gotta say, the only problem we have, our pup might love her more than us now! As someone who has a difficult time leaving my dog, it was as easy as it could have been knowing that she was in good hands with Erin. From daily pics to the updates on how our pup was, Erin made us feel like Luna was right there with us. We with out a doubt will be booking Erin again in the future!

Natalia is a terrific dog walker, intuitive, patient and enthusiastic. My dog, Cessie, is full of energy and can get distracted by bunnies, squirrels, any little so fter training, she has some modifications. Natalia easily adapted to her routine and Cessie came home happy and despite a long walk, lively and refreshed. I would definitely recommend her as a great dog walker./-

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
