About: I started dog sitting when I was in high school and have loved it ever since. Being away from my own animals while at school, I was constantly taking care of friend’s dogs and even volunteering at a local animal shelter. I just graduated from Quinnipiac University, and am taking some time off from school before applying to graduate school. While being in the process of applying to different healthcare positions, I want to spend time caring for animals as I have started considering veterinary school. “Sophie was AMAZING and I cannot recommend her enough. She took the best care of my dogs and I was never once worried about them. My dogs loved her too. They seem to miss her today and are looking around for her! She sent me tons of pictures and updates. One of my dogs takes a pill each day that can make her sick if she skips a dose. She sometimes spits it out for me and Sophie was so good about making sure she ate it every day and letting me know once she did. She asked lots of great and important questions when she came to meet the dogs. She also kept my home in perfect shape. Getting home from a trip at midnight to happy dogs and a clean home is the best feeling. I am a neurotic dog mom and finding someone who makes you feel as comfortable as Sophie is so huge. Before booking, Rebecca was completely transparent about any prior commitments that might take her away from our home for a few hours. She handled them with the utmost patience and understanding. I believe her to be incredibly trustworthy, and both our dog and cat absolutely adored her. One day our dog had an upset stomach which is always a cause for concern with her chronic health issues, and Rebecca went above and beyond to ensure that she did everything possible to care for her properly. She kept me fully in the loop and even offered to cook rice and broth for her in case she needed to settle her stomach. I mentioned that sweet potato usually helps her eat again if needed, and Rebecca offered to drive and pick one up so that she could ensure it was a good quality for my dog, rather than me having one delivered to the house: Thankfully my dog finally decided to eat her food and got better in the evening but like I said, she went above and beyond. I would/will hire Rebecca again and entrust her with our fur babies without hesitation. She was simply phenomenal and is a pet owner’s dream come true.
