About: I've been caring for animals for over 10 years and feel a genuine connection with them that goes beyond just following instructions. I'm calm, patient, and observant — qualities that animals respond to quickly, especially in pets that are anxious, shy, or used to a specific routine. What makes my care genuinely different is my background: I hold a biology degree and have medical school training, which means I'm not just comfortable with medications and special needs — I actually understand the underlying conditions. I know what to watch for, how to communicate clearly with your vet if something comes up, and how to stay calm under pressure. I have direct experience with: Administering oral, topical, and injected medications on schedule. Caring for senior pets and those with chronic conditions such as diabetes, arthritis, or kidney disease. Following detailed feeding protocols, restricted diets, and post-surgical care routines. Monitoring subtle behavioral and physical changes that can signal a health issue early. Handling anxious, reactive, or high-needs animals with calm, consistent energy. Beyond medical care, my hands-on animal experience spans a wide variety of animals including dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, gerbils, horses and farm animals. I also spent time assisting on an organic farm in Japan where regular garden care was part of everyday life. I ran an Airbnb for several years as well, which taught me how to care for someone's home with the same respect I'd give my own — something that matters a lot in house sitting situations. I have verified 5-star reviews on TrustedHouseSitters from real pet owners, which reflects the level of care and communication I bring to every booking. On Rover I'm building my paid care profile and bringing that same standard with me. I work remotely as a Medical Qigong Therapist, which means my schedule is genuinely flexible and I'm home throughout the day — not popping in between a job and other commitments. Pet care fits naturally and completely into my daily routine. I can closely follow your pet's existing schedule for feeding, walks, medications, and rest without interruption. Your pets won't be left alone for long stretches, and I adapt to what they need rather than fitting them around a fixed schedule. I'm currently slow-traveling across the United States and available for house sitting and drop-in care in cities along my route. I typically stay in each location for days to weeks at a time, which makes me well suited to longer bookings. Message me to check if I'll be in your area — I'm happy to discuss timing and logistics. Safety and consistency are at the center of how I work. In a client's home I follow all instructions carefully — routines, feeding schedules, medications, restricted areas, and any behavioral notes you share. I treat your home as my own: tidy, secure, and respected throughout the stay. My medical background means I'm genuinely prepared for situations that would stress out most sitters. If a pet shows signs of distress, a change in behavior, or a medical concern, I know how to assess the situation calmly, respond appropriately, and contact you and your vet with clear, accurate information rather than panic. I provide regular photo and video updates throughout every stay so you're never left wondering. I'm responsive to messages and believe in over-communicating rather than under — especially for first-time clients who don't yet know my style. For pets that are anxious about new people, I take introductions slowly and follow the animal's lead rather than pushing for immediate interaction. Most animals settle quickly with calm, predictable energy.

Carolyn is literary the absolute best! I was very nervous to find a dog watcher on Rover, and more nervous to have to find someone new to watch my dogs, but Carolyn eased all my worries! She stayed at our house and watched both our dogs while we were away. Let me tell you, no easy task. I have 2 dogs with 2 very different mannerisms and Carolyn was absolutely great with them. Our Catahoula is a spitfire and she has SERIOUS anxiety and territory issues. And my giant hound mix is just that, a giant moose who sometimes doesn't know his size! But Carolyn kept a watchful eye and we are so very grateful for her. She kept us updated daily, and was great at communicating with us. We are absolutely going to hire her every time we need a dog watcher! 100% she earns a 10 out of 10!!!! We can't thank her enough!

About: I’ve grown up around animals, and currently have a dog and two cats. I frequently play with them, cuddle with them, and feed them all—as well as walk my dog regularly. I love animals and am 100% comfortable taking care of them and hanging out with them. I’m currently in school and working part-time, and have free time to take care of animals every day! I miss my two cats and my dog from home, so I’d love to spend time with other animals. My apartment doesn’t allow animals, but I am 100% respectful of the animal’s space. I’m happy to feed them, walk them, or clean litter boxes.

Sara was absolutely incredible. She was communicative, prompt, knowledgeable, and put my mind at ease. My pup is an old girl with ailing health and a picky mind when it comes to food. Sara showed up in the creativity to hook my kid up. On top of that, my flight fell through to the next day- she was flexible, allowing me to focus on other matters. Bless. I will definitely be using Sara again in the future. HIGHLY recommend

Angelle house & hound sat for me for two nights. Knowing my pups are extremely shy with people, she spent the entire time "working with them". Despite themselves they started to warm up to and trust her. She was so sweet and respectful of my home. And her doggie report cards!! I almost did not want to do a review for fear she would get too many new bookings to want to sit my pups if needed! :))

About: I had a maltese puppy for 10 years from age 9 weeks onward and most recently had a shih tzu puppy that turned 1 on 5/28/25. In the oast I've had pets including hamsters, guinea pigs, chickens, and fish of my own. I work from home and have a flexible schedule, so your pup will get lots of attention and care throughout the day. Here's what a typical day looks like when your dog is with me: 🐾 Morning (7am–10am): Potty break, breakfast, and a light walk or play session 🐾 Midday (11am–2pm): Walks, potty breaks, enrichment games, or just relaxing cuddle time 🐾 Afternoon (3pm–6pm): Another walk or active playtime in a safe, calm environment 🐾 Evening (7pm–9pm): Dinner, a final potty break, and winding down for the night I'm available for: ✅ Drop-in visits ✅ Dog walking ✅ Puppy care Weekend and holiday availability included! I’m happy to accommodate special routines, medications, or specific instructions your dog needs to feel comfortable and loved. When you trust me to care for your dog, I show up with love, respect, and attention to detail — all in the comfort of your dog’s familiar surroundings. 🐶 In-Home Peace of Mind: I care for pets in their own homes, where they feel most secure. Whether I’m dropping in for a quick visit, taking your pup for a walk, or staying overnight, I follow your routine closely to minimize stress and keep your dog calm and happy. 🦴 Personalized, Gentle Care: I specialize in small breeds and have over 10 years of experience. From meal schedules and potty routines to medication or calming techniques, I provide care tailored to your dog’s specific needs. 🚶🏽‍♀️ Safe & Engaging Walks: Walks are done one-on-one in familiar areas, with close attention to your pet’s energy level, leash behavior, and comfort. I avoid crowded dog parks or risky environments to keep your dog safe. 📝 Trustworthy & Transparent: I communicate clearly, provide updates, and send photos during every visit. You’ll always know how your pet is doing, whether I’m there for 20 minutes or staying the night. Your pet stays safe, your home is respected, and you can relax knowing your furry family member is in loving, responsible hands.

About: Growing up we always had dogs and cats in our home. Once turned adult I was always the go to dog/cat/house sitter. I’m retired LEO and have a lot of time on my hands to share with my pup and yours! I’m currently retired and have no fixed schedule at the moment. My husband is only off Sunday and Monday and would prefer not to work while he’s off but am willing to compromise! I do live in an apartment but have a walking trail just 7 minutes away that my pup loves. Plus the complex is pet and walk friendly.

About: I grew up around cats and dogs within my own home, other family members houses, & friends. We had a cat of our own until 2022 when we moved out of CT for a short period of time and had to sadly re-home him. He’s missed very much! I do work nights full time so I am home during the day to be able to give your loved ones all of my attention! I care for pets as if they are my own. We can't say enough about Kiera. She took such great care of our dogs and our home. We had a blizzard while she was sitting, and I was a nervous wreck being so far away. Kiera handled this storm like it was a nothing, shoveling through almost 3 feet of snow, starting and keeping our wood stove going to keep the house warm in the event the power went out, making sure my dogs were safe and coxing them outside in the storm to make sure they went to the bathroom. After a stressful trip home, we entered to a spotless house and very happy dogs. I would without a doubt use her again, and can't thank her enough for allowing us to enjoy our vacation knowing she had everything under control.

Dawn quickly won the trust of our very skittish little pup -- more quickly than I've seen Izzy take to anyone! After Dawn was in the house maybe 10 minutes, Izzy was asking her to play with her. And Dawn is a good player! -- as well as an excellent communicator, sending us regular photos and reports. She did not seem put off by Izzy's somewhat complicated dinner regimen, and she took good care of our house as well as of our pup. We are grateful to have found Dawn, and Izzy hopes she will come back for another sit or a walk, soon.

We have an older dog and he can’t see as well as he used to, so we worried he would have a hard time with a stranger. Eva put our minds at ease! She came and met us in advance and is so sweet and caring!!! We could tell what a good fit it was with her right away and our dog was absolutely smitten! She came and stayed at our house and was a super clear communicator.
