About: I grew up around cats and dogs within my own home, other family members houses, & friends. We had a cat of our own until last year when we moved out of CT for a short time and had to sadly re-home him. He’s missed very much! I’ve also house sat pets and walked friends dogs as well. I work part time so I have a lot free time on my hands which makes me very flexible at all hours and time during the week! I care for pets as if they are my own. With all the love and fun that they can take whether they are in my home or I am in theirs!

About: I have been handling and training dogs at daycares, puppy and adult day schools, and pet stores for over a decade, and I’m currently working on my certification through the Karen Pryor Academy for professional dog trainers. I prioritize safety and the use of positive reinforcement to keep dogs physically, mentally, and emotionally healthy, and I particularly enjoy helping fearful dogs become more calm and confident with clicker training. Right now I’m in the process of writing a business plan for my own company, so my availability is wide open for the time being. I am gentle, but firm and consistent. I use treats and other rewards paired with a marker to reinforce and shape the behaviors I want, and will use ‘time outs” to enforce necessary boundaries. Your dog will not pull me or get away with problem behaviors, but I also make sure not to be scary and spend more time rewarding them when they do well.

About: I have had three dogs ever since I was four. I have been surrounded by dogs my whole life and know how to interact with them at all stages of life. I am currently in college and I am able to do weekends and Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Friday evenings. I am able to start from March 24 and go till May 10. I listen to the owners and their preferences and make sure to tend to the dogs' needs. I am able to care for all dogs shapes and sizes. I will not be hosting dogs in my room, but rather in the home!

About: Currently I work as a doggy daycare attendant and am working towards my dog training certification. Lifelong passion for animals of all types. Experienced with many reptiles, small animals, cats, and dogs alike. Having had dogs growing up and currently owning 4 cats, many aquariums, and 2 large dogs, I completely understand how stressful it can be finding the right person to care for them. I can cater my care to all sorts of dogs - large or small to friendly or anxious to puppy or senior. I've always had a special place in my heart for animals that haven't had the best past - I understand what abuse can do and animals tend to respond well to my gentle approach. Reading a dog's body language is a very important skill I have experience with, one of the many reasons why I've never met a dog I can't work with, I just have to get on their level first. My care will come with as many updates or pictures as your heart desires. I would never leave a loved one with someone I didn't trust, I'd expect you to feel the same. On Rover I do not have many reviews, but I have many personal clients from over the years and trainers who would tell you all about what I do. I am very prompt to respond and to accept the booking, most messages I've gotten either ghost or are scams. Please, feel free to reach out and ask all the questions you need to! Pet care is basically my life - Live very active life, even with work, have before/lunch/after visit availability and overnights can be requested, but your house would need to be dog friendly as Doug would need to come with me. I also do regular pack walks on Monday and Friday mornings, more pups are always welcome! Cannot care for pet in my home, one of my personal dog is not welcoming to new guests of the furry variety. Can transport dogs to areas for play/walking or totally fine with your neighborhood or yard! Communication is key, I'm flexible.
