Information Ashley P. would like to know about your pet

if your dog has any special needs or schedules, please let me know ahead of time. Special needs will not be a problem so long as I am aware ahead of time and know what to prepare for! This can include feeding schedule, potty times, any medications that need to be given and how they are to be given (eye medication, oral, ear drops, etc.) I am able to rewrap wounds if any animal has an injured body part so long as I am aware of what they will need to make sure I have it or it is supplied! I have worked with dogs with neurological and behavioral/fearful/ issues as well so I am well versed. If the animal needs to be medicated and does not handle it well, I am trained in proper animal restraint.

A typical day

On a typical day, as long as it isn’t too hot out for the dog(s), we will go on nice walks around the neighborhood if it’s safe, if close to me there’s multiple dog parks I know of that are outside and fenced in along with hiking trails nearby. If it is not nice weather (stormy/too hot) there will be lots of indoor play and love and affection. If it’s only raining and not super stormy or hot and the dog likes the rain, we will still go walking in the rain!

Pet care experience

I worked for a year at an emergency animal hospital as an animal care technician. I have also been in the veterinary technician program. Both only stopped due to COVID impacting the ability to do them. I also volunteer at a humane society and work with behavioral challenged cats. I’m currently not working, and other than volunteering and student teaching classes I am free and available most days! While I have Wednesday listed as a day I am not available, I do not student teach until 3:30 so I could take care of your furbabies prior to that easily! While I am unable to care for other pets in my home due to who I live with, I love taking my own dog for walks around the neighborhood and/or to dog parks. As long as there’s permission for me to take the dog out somewhere, I will gladly bring them out for fresh air! My dog would also love doggy play dates, but has more fun with larger dogs and is more playful with them. He is not aggressive at all, he just will act like smaller dogs don’t exist.

Ashley was house and dog sitting for us during the blizzard of 2026, she stayed an extra day when we got stranded overseas. She was amazing.

Ashley was punctual, communicative and followed my instructions when watching my 7 month old puppy. I look forward to adding Ashley into my rotation of regular dog sitters!

Ashley took great care of our kitty while we were away, especially with him on multiple medications. He is super comfortable with her and absolutely adores her.
