“From the moment I contacted Carolyn I knew she’d be great. She is responsive, thoughtful, flexible, totally responsible and a lovely person with a profound love of animals. I am so grateful to have found her—we will definitely enlist her perfect services again!”

“Once again, Faith gives above and beyond -/ sends photos of the babies, takes meticulous care of medications, leaves house spotless -- she is the best and we'd be lost without her.”

About: I've been caring for animals for over 10 years and feel a genuine connection with them that goes beyond just following instructions. I'm calm, patient, and observant — qualities that animals respond to quickly, especially in pets that are anxious, shy, or used to a specific routine. What makes my care genuinely different is my background: I hold a biology degree and have medical school training, which means I'm not just comfortable with medications and special needs — I actually understand the underlying conditions. I know what to watch for, how to communicate clearly with your vet if something comes up, and how to stay calm under pressure. I have direct experience with: Administering oral, topical, and injected medications on schedule. Caring for senior pets and those with chronic conditions such as diabetes, arthritis, or kidney disease. Following detailed feeding protocols, restricted diets, and post-surgical care routines. Monitoring subtle behavioral and physical changes that can signal a health issue early. Handling anxious, reactive, or high-needs animals with calm, consistent energy. Beyond medical care, my hands-on animal experience spans a wide variety of animals including dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, gerbils, horses and farm animals. I also spent time assisting on an organic farm in Japan where regular garden care was part of everyday life. I ran an Airbnb for several years as well, which taught me how to care for someone's home with the same respect I'd give my own — something that matters a lot in house sitting situations. I have verified 5-star reviews on TrustedHouseSitters from real pet owners, which reflects the level of care and communication I bring to every booking. On Rover I'm building my paid care profile and bringing that same standard with me. I work remotely as a Medical Qigong Therapist, which means my schedule is genuinely flexible and I'm home throughout the day — not popping in between a job and other commitments. Pet care fits naturally and completely into my daily routine. I can closely follow your pet's existing schedule for feeding, walks, medications, and rest without interruption. Your pets won't be left alone for long stretches, and I adapt to what they need rather than fitting them around a fixed schedule. I'm currently slow-traveling across the United States and available for house sitting and drop-in care in cities along my route. I typically stay in each location for days to weeks at a time, which makes me well suited to longer bookings. Message me to check if I'll be in your area — I'm happy to discuss timing and logistics. Safety and consistency are at the center of how I work. In a client's home I follow all instructions carefully — routines, feeding schedules, medications, restricted areas, and any behavioral notes you share. I treat your home as my own: tidy, secure, and respected throughout the stay. My medical background means I'm genuinely prepared for situations that would stress out most sitters. If a pet shows signs of distress, a change in behavior, or a medical concern, I know how to assess the situation calmly, respond appropriately, and contact you and your vet with clear, accurate information rather than panic. I provide regular photo and video updates throughout every stay so you're never left wondering. I'm responsive to messages and believe in over-communicating rather than under — especially for first-time clients who don't yet know my style. For pets that are anxious about new people, I take introductions slowly and follow the animal's lead rather than pushing for immediate interaction. Most animals settle quickly with calm, predictable energy.
“Anna was amazing with Honey. Very responsive and sent lots of pictures. Highly recommended if you are going out of town and need someone to care for your animals! Will definitely use again!”
“We’ve used Lauren several times and on this trip away we hit a major delay in our return. Lauren was happy to return to make sure our pup was cared for! So thankful for Lauren and feel so reassured leaving our dog in her care in the future.”

“We had such a wonderful experience with Jennifer! She took great care of our pup, Roma, while we were away for the weekend. She was incredibly communicative and sent lots of pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear Ro was happy and well cared for the whole time. In fact, we already booked her again!”
“Jessica was very attentive to our 13 yr old dog, making sure he was well fed and got his multiple medications. She kept us updated with videos and photos. He was happy to see us when we got home but I think he also missed Jessica!”

“Angelle house & hound sat for me for two nights. Knowing my pups are extremely shy with people, she spent the entire time "working with them". Despite themselves they started to warm up to and trust her. She was so sweet and respectful of my home. And her doggie report cards!! I almost did not want to do a review for fear she would get too many new bookings to want to sit my pups if needed! :))”

“Sara was absolutely incredible. She was communicative, prompt, knowledgeable, and put my mind at ease. My pup is an old girl with ailing health and a picky mind when it comes to food. Sara showed up in the creativity to hook my kid up. On top of that, my flight fell through to the next day- she was flexible, allowing me to focus on other matters. Bless. I will definitely be using Sara again in the future. HIGHLY recommend”

“Kathryn took great care of our 2 beagles while we were away. I know they'll miss her. She even swept up(they are messy) and cleaned off the kitchen counters. We would definitely request her again, in fact we already did.”

“I have two cats that get very upset when I'm away, but Emma took care of them like they were her own and they were two happy boys when I got back. So grateful for the care and thought she put into our boys and our home”

“Marii stepped up on a short notice to house sit for our pups over a long trip, and she totally saved our vacation -- super appreciate her saving the day. Marii proved to be reliable and friendly and great with our dogs. Would absolutely recommend her to anyone and we will have her in mind for any of our next dog sitting opportunities!”

About: Aside from having a dog of my own, I've spent my whole life around dogs of all sizes through family and friends. I often dog sit friends and coworkers and have hands-on experience caring for different breeds and temperaments. I'm also a Husky Handler for Jonathan the Husky at the University of Connecticut, where I help care for and handle him at events. I have a huge soft spot for animals and am committed to making every pet feel loved and happy in my care. When not in school, my schedule can be very flexible and I can often accommodate short-notice requests. During the semester, I'm generally more open on the weekends than weekdays; however, depending on the time and location, I'm happy to find a schedule that will work. I prioritise keeping pets comfortable and safe, while maintaining their normal routines, whether they have specific exercise schedules, medications to take, etc. I carefully follow any and all instructions provided, and I also make sure all pets receive plenty of attention and companionship so they feel secure while their owner is away. I respect each client's home by keeping everything clean and organised, and am happy to provide regular updates on pets for owners' peace of mind.
“From the start, Emi was communicative, and incredibly thoughtful. My frenchie Frank was happy and well cared for, which gave me real peace of mind while I was away. My home was just as I left it and it was clear that everything was handled with great respect and care. I especially appreciated the updates and photos, which made it easy to relax knowing Frank was in such good hands. I would absolutely recommend Emi to anyone looking for a trustworthy, responsible, and caring pet/house sitter.”

“Palma was a wonderful sitter for our Scottie, Pepper! Pepper immediately befriended Palma when she came to meet us, and we could tell Palma was enjoying playing with Pepper. We felt very comfortable leaving Pepper in her hands. While we were away, Palma was very communicative and sent photos of Pepper for us (which I love because I always miss her). She left our house in pristine condition! I highly recommend Palma.”

“Cayton was lovely. My dog was nervous on a rainy windy evening and she was so patient and calming with him. She went above and beyond to keep him happy and engaged.”

Marii stepped up on a short notice to house sit for our pups over a long trip, and she totally saved our vacation -- super appreciate her saving the day. Marii proved to be reliable and friendly and great with our dogs. Would absolutely recommend her to anyone and we will have her in mind for any of our next dog sitting opportunities!

We can't say enough about Kiera. She took such great care of our dogs and our home. We had a blizzard while she was sitting, and I was a nervous wreck being so far away. Kiera handled this storm like it was a nothing, shoveling through almost 3 feet of snow, starting and keeping our wood stove going to keep the house warm in the event the power went out, making sure my dogs were safe and coxing them outside in the storm to make sure they went to the bathroom. After a stressful trip home, we entered to a spotless house and very happy dogs. I would without a doubt use her again, and can't thank her enough for allowing us to enjoy our vacation knowing she had everything under control.

Sara is an incredible pet/house sitter. She is a consummate professional and communicative (updates and pictures of her and our dog multiple times a day). Our dog absolutely loves her. As we were delayed coming home due to this weeks storm, she graciously extended her booking several day's to accommodate our schedule. Sara goes above and beyond and I wholeheartedly recommend her and her services. Thank you Sara!!

Dawn quickly won the trust of our very skittish little pup -- more quickly than I've seen Izzy take to anyone! After Dawn was in the house maybe 10 minutes, Izzy was asking her to play with her. And Dawn is a good player! -- as well as an excellent communicator, sending us regular photos and reports. She did not seem put off by Izzy's somewhat complicated dinner regimen, and she took good care of our house as well as of our pup. We are grateful to have found Dawn, and Izzy hopes she will come back for another sit or a walk, soon.

Rosy has been house sitting and walking my dog for a few months now. I can confidently say that Rosy is the best sitter I’ve met on Rover! She is such a wonderful and sweet person who puts a smile on my face when I see her. Caring and patient with my anxious/reactive dog who has a lot of quirks and special needs. I can tell she feels kindness and love for my dog and other pets alike. Rosy will pay close attention to any and all instructions you may leave for her and follow through on them with ease. She has always been accommodating with scheduling and provided clear communication. Added bonus, she’s clean and respectful of my home and never leaves a mess behind when she housesits. Thank you always Rosy!!!

I wouldn’t hesitate to book Emma again. We returned to everything in perfect order; she went over and above with gardens to care for in hot weather. Pups were perfect, and again, with a blind senior dog, it was challenging. Plus she’s just a sweet, calm, low key gal. You can’t go wrong.

Heather is such a natural! She made my little guy feel so comfortable and at ease while I was out. I received updates and pics of a very happy and content dog actually having more fun than ever! Thanks Heather for making my little guy so happy…I’ll definitely be having you stay with him again!
