“I can not say enough about Beryl! She made me feel at ease immediately and welcomed our pup with open arms! She sent us pics and sweet messages while we were away and made us feel our pup was king of the castle. Our little guy was clearly comfortable and happy upon drop off and pick up. I 💯 recommend Beryl.”

“Nina provided great care for our dog Max and was very communicative when there was an issue during his stay. She is very friendly and kind. She also has the cutest puppy in the world!!”
“Tina was wonderful with our dogs! She was clear with everything we needed to know, did everything we asked her to, and definitely spoiled our two Yorkies with attention, snuggles and playtime! We will ask her to sit for them again if we’re passing through to go to Great Wolf Lodge or Foxwoods.”

“Serenity offered to meet our pups prior to their stay with her. She sent regular updates to let me know how they were doing. When we picked them up they seemed at ease. I will definitely reach out to her again when needed.”

“Mary Jo was great 😊 Our little CornedBeef was well taken care of and bonded with her temporary family while we were away. Sue was very communicative and flexible. We are happy to use her again!”

“We are so lucky to have found Stephen! He’s wonderful with our pup - and with us as well! We always check his availability first when we need someone to care for our girl. Highly recommend!”

“Dana was great! We just picked up our two dogs after a long weekend away… they were well taken care of and spent their days playing with Dana’s other dogs. They had a blast! Dana updated us with pictures and texts throughout their stay and kept us informed.”

“Kristen & her pup, Stella were welcoming & kind to our elderly Westie. We had a lovely meet & greet, Kristen was an exceptionally responsive, clear communicator & sent us pictures of & updates about our dog’s stay. Thank you, Kristen!”
“Beverly was absolutely amazing to work with! This was my first time leaving my dog using Rover. I was very nervous, but Beverly made the process so pleasant and stress-free! Throughout the whole weekend, Beverly kept me updated on my dog with adorable pictures. My dog came home in a great mood and clearly had a wonderful weekend! Beverly also owns a donkey which made me nervous at first because I didn’t know how my dog would handle it. But there was no issues at all. My dog didn’t even bark at all, and the donkey was extremely dog friendly. I would 100% recommended using Beverly for your next getaway and I will definitely be booking with her again!”

“They were attentive to my dogs needs. They cared for my beagle’s well being. They sent me regular updates of how he was doing and pictures. I do recommend them and will go back again.”

“My dog Hank had a great stay with Sydney and her family! He doesn't get along with every dog, but he seemed to have quite a bit of fun with their little guy Knightley — despite a considerable difference in age and size! (Approx. 15 lbs. vs. 85 lbs.) Sydney was very communicative and gave me daily updates on how Hank was doing, along with pictures, for the week that we were gone. I would definitely recommend her for boarding!”

“Kim is awesome! She sent us pics on a regular basis, which squashed my worries about leaving my boy Jack behind. He had such a blast for the week we were away, he didn't want to come home. Highly recommend Kim.”

“Joe took great care of Banjo! Banjo is super small and has a lot of anxiety around new places, but I could tell he settled in quickly and felt very comfortable. Would book with Joe again any time!”

“So happy we found Lourdes to watch our girl Jewel! She was so happy when we picked her up and very calm! That says a lot about Lourdes' care since Jewel can be very anxious when being boarded. Will definitely be using her services moving forward!”

“I really appreciated the regular updates, pics, and videos Shelby provided throughout my dog’s stay. He’s a nervous guy in new situations and she did a great job working with him to get comfortable and letting me know how he was doing along the way.”

“Kelly was very responsive and accommodating to us when we needed to book a last minute stay for our pup Holly! Holly was taken care of very well and had a great time! We will definitely use again in the future!”

Karen was wonderful with my dog, Gus! She sent regular updates, photos, and videos throughout his stay. She even took him on a fun outing to Harkness and had so many positive things to say about him, which meant a lot to me. Karen is trustworthy, clearly cares about the dogs she watches, and treated mine like her own. I will absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her!

Nina was great! Our old girl Sadie is slowing down & has challenges & Nina was very patient and understanding. Sent us pictures regularly and the communication was great. Thank you, Nina, for taking care of our fur baby while we were away. It was the first time we've left her with someone for an extra-long period of time! We will definitely book you again!
My husband & I needed a much needed mini vacation. A friend suggested Rover & we met with Sabina before our trip. We knew right away that she was going to give the nurturing we were looking for. She sent daily pictures and reassured us all was well. She is the perfect care taker for your pet & we highly recommend her!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
