I've been an animal lover for as long as I can remember - basically, if it has fur, fins, wings, or whiskers, I'm a fan. I've proudly been a cat mom since 2010 and my 3 current babies are my whole world (and let's be real, my personality too). Since 2023, I've been volunteering with cats and small animals at a local shelter (affectionately known there as "Cat Rachel"), working with cats of all different temperaments -from shy wallflowers, snuggly lovebugs, fur divas, and the “don’t-look-at-me” types. I've also been pet-sitting on and off since 2010 including cats, dogs, guinea pigs, bunnies, and tropical fish. If your trust your pet with me, I will: - treat them like they're part of my own fur-family - be patient while they warm up to me (I let them set the vibe) - follow your instructions and respect your home - give them dedicated quality time in the way they enjoy (whether that be play-time, cuddling, walks, quiet companionship, etc. - send regular updates and photos Basically, if your pet needs love, snacks, or someone to treat them like the tiny celebrity they are, I’ve got it covered. For full transparency I am a full-time working professional. I work in the Ridgefield area 4 days a week with Fridays as my work-from-home day. I'm really mindful about my schedule and only take on visits I can give my full attention to. While cats are definitely my specialty these days, I’m always happy to consider other animals too! Mondays through Thursdays: AM & PM visits before and after work, sometimes can do a lunchtime visit if in Ridgefield. Fridays: AM & PM visit, sometimes can do a lunchtime visit if in Shelton, overnight stays. Saturdays and Sundays: Flexible, 3 visits a day, and overnight stays. Safety is my #1 priority - ensuring your pets feel secure and comfortable. My goal is to provide a stress-free, trustworthy experience which is why I only accept bookings I can confidently handle based on each pet's needs and my experience. During my visits: - I respect your space and follow all care instructions and house rules. - I ensure doors, windows, and gates are secure. Doors are opened with extreme caution. - I ensure they have access to everything they need and their water dishes are full. - For cats, even if they sometimes goes outside, they must be and remain inside for the entirety of my visit. I will ensure their litter boxes are cleaned. - For dogs, there will be double checks of leashes, collars, and/or harnesses.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs overnight and have attended them throughout the day. I feel comfortable administering meds as well. My family has always fostered dogs and cats so I have gained lots of confidence, great instincts and trust with my furry friends. Pet care has always been a passion of mine. I have a very flexible schedule as I go to school online and work remotely fulltime. If you book me, I am cognizant of my schedule and very punctual. I love to keep them moving whether it’s playing inside or outside. Snuggles and cuddles are always welcome. I prefer to follow the expectations based on the owners preference.

About: Im comfortable working with friendly dogs of different ages, including puppies who need extra attention and older dogs who may need a slower, more gentle approach. Plus, my dog is very friendly and enjoys the company, which can help other dogs feel more comfortable and social. I’m currently in school for ultrasound, so with my full-time schedule, I’ve been looking for a flexible way to earn some extra income. I really enjoy walking my dog, and I’m interested in turning that into a small business to help others who need dog walking services while also building connections with other dogs. My dog is very friendly and would definitely enjoy the extra company. I care for pets in both my home and my client’s home, depending on the service. I make sure they have a safe, clean space, follow their feeding and walking routines, and give them plenty of attention. When I’m in a client’s home, I follow all instructions closely to keep their pet comfortable and cared for.

About: I have had dogs and cats ever since I can remember. Since I was a kid, I have always taken care of them- making sure they are well-fed always, groomed, happy, and healthy! I currently have a really flexible schedule because I’m home from school and can dedicate plenty of time and attention to your pets! I’m available for overnight stay, drop-ins walks, and daytime care throughout most weekdays and weekends! Your pets safety and comfort are always my top priority! I have a loving dog and 2 kitties at home to keep them comfortable, but if they are more shy I have a large yard I can take them on walks and play in, and can house them in my large bedroom and make sure they are extremely comfortable!

About: I've loved to cat and dog sit for my neighbors, friends, and extended family since I was young. I'm sensitive to different pets' needs and have always had a way of connecting with more timid and distrustful animals. I also have over 10 years of experience caring for and working with horses, so I'm comfortable with handling larger animals. I’m super outdoorsy so I’m always happy to take your pets out on a hike or little adventure. I used to take my aunt’s dog out to hike, camp, and swim in rivers! I’ve just graduated from college, so I have a completely open schedule! I’ll be able to go on walks multiple times a day, hang out and play in the house, and give them all the attention they need. I won’t be having your pets stay in my house, but I’m comfortable coming into your living space and accommodating your pets in their home environment. I received an associate veterinary degree earlier in life and have had a passion for animals all my life. I have always owned dogs until I had to put down my last dog- a Weimeraner. Since then- I have enjoyed getting close to my clients dogs. I do walks/feedings and also board clients dogs at my home when they are away. About: Hi, I’m Jessica. My love for animal care started in 2018 when my family rescued our dog, Chase, from a puppy mill in Pennsylvania. Helping him feel safe, understood, and confident pushed me to learn more about dog body language, temperament, leash behavior, and how to care for each dog based on their needs. I originally entered college as a pre-veterinary Animal Science major and gained hands-on experience with animals, including sheep. I also competed in UConn’s Little I competition and placed second. Before caring for your pet, I’d love to know their routine, temperament, walking style, triggers, favorite activities, nervous habits, and how they do around other dogs, cats, strangers, children, loud noises, or new environments. I’m also happy to discuss your pet’s usual routine so I can keep things as consistent as possible while you’re away. In a client’s home, I care for pets by following their normal routine as closely as possible. I pay attention to doors, gates, leashes, food instructions, litter areas, water bowls, and anything the owner tells me is important. I also like to know about each pet’s temperament, triggers, hiding spots, leash behavior, and comfort level with new people so I can keep the visit safe and calm. For walks, I make sure pets are securely leashed before leaving the home and avoid unnecessary interactions with unknown dogs or people unless the owner says otherwise. I’m patient with shy, nervous, excited, or slower-to-warm-up pets, and I’d rather move carefully than rush them. I’ll also send clear updates, so you know how your pet is doing.
