About: Caring for animals has been a constant part of my life. I grew up in a home that always had two dogs at a time, and before moving out, my family had raised six wonderful dogs together. From energetic pups to older companions, I’ve experienced the full range of what it means to care for dogs through different stages of life. I currently share my home with two special-needs cats, which has taught me patience, attentiveness, and the importance of understanding each animal’s unique personality and needs. I also provide regular updates so you can feel confident everything is going smoothly. If your pet stays in my home, their comfort and safety are my top priorities. They will have their own dedicated space in my finished basement office that is clean, hazard-free, and separate from my cats. This allows visiting pets to relax without feeling overwhelmed, and ensures everyone stays safe and stress-free. The space includes a comfortable couch just for them, plenty of room to stretch out, and a calm environment away from household noise. I’m home during the day, so they’ll receive regular supervision, potty breaks, playtime, and attention, balanced with quiet time to rest.

I adjust my care to fit their personality and make sure they feel comfortable and loved. I am currently working full time Monday through Friday. Anytime outside of working hours I will be open and ready to provide care! Weekends and early morning I am also available. I keep each pet’s care as consistent as possible with their normal routine. About: I’ve been raised around dogs since I was an infant & they were puppies. Growing up, I was able to spend time & care for different types of dogs. I believe that with consistency, patience, and rewards (treats/toys), I would be able to train a puppy to do tricks & properly go to the potty! ☺️ I am a part-time healthcare worker that works 8 hours out of 3 days of the week, so with that being said, I would love to look after your pet on my days off! Your rules/requirements are mine as well. I’m not sure if anyone in my building is allergic to cats or dogs, but we could make some accommodations. About: Growing up, dogs were always part of the family. My dad worked at an animal shelter and had a natural gift with animals that I watched and absorbed. When he passed in 2020, I inherited his two dogs and loved them until the end of their lives. I miss them every day. That loss is part of why I’m here. I know how special it is to form these bonds with animals, and how they keep us company through every quiet, mundane moment, not just the walks and the highlights. I’m highly attuned to what animals and people need, even when they can’t say so. It would be my honor to care for yours. Walking is a daily practice for me, and so is showing up fully for the people and animals in my life. I also worked at two boarding kennels over the course of 5 years and I have been working as a veterinary assistant since May 2023. I also have experience with farm animals and small exotics, ie. reptiles, rabbits, etc. I recently finished school at UConn for Animal Science. I currently work as a veterinary assistant. About: I've grew up with dogs and have been responsible for taking care of them, including feeding, walking/running & playing/taking outside, bathing, and more. I have experience giving older dogs medicine, both orally and injections (especially insulin for diabetic dogs). One of my dogs developed hip dysplasia and cancer at her older age, so I am experienced with caring for senior dogs in need of extra attention. Additionally, I often pet sit for family and friends and am trusted to ensure not only their basic needs are met (clean water, food, bathroom breaks/walks), but also they receive attention and affection while their owners are away. I'm currently home for the summer as a college student and I'm unable to get a job with a set schedule because I have surgery coming up which takes a huge chunk out of my summer but I'm available for the entirety of June and first week of July. I can basically be free whenever needed, weekdays and weekends! Since I have cats at my house, I don't care for client's pets in my own home to minimize conflict. In clients homes I follow whatever rules laid out for their animals, ensuring they're fed at the proper intervals, always have clean water (and litter boxes if used). If applicable, I like to go outside with the pets to play with them and make sure they get needed stimulation. I take them on walks (and of course clean up after them), and runs when applicable. I also like to make sure the animals get lots affection (as long as approved by their owners) to make sure they're not lonely while away!
