“Heather and Wes were AMAZING! This was our first time leaving Baker alone for this long and we felt completely at ease knowing he was in good hands. The Rover Cards and pictures that we got throughout our trip made us smile each time and it was so kind how many walks they took Baker on. I appreciated how they accommodated my request to have blinds opened for my plants too. Our experience with Heather and Wes just made us now want to book more trips… haha!”

“Sophia was able to take care of my 2 dogs on short notice. They aren't very friendly with new people but Sophia won them over. I will use her from now on when I have to be out of town.”

“we've worked with Jean several times now and I feel confident that she will arrive when promised and take good care of our 3 huskies. Yes that is right 3 Siberian Huskies. I am very glad we found her!”

“Courtney is such a delight. She texted after booking and arranged a time to meet in person. I was able to introduce her to the dogs and show how to Bingo takes his pills. She texted an update with 3 pictures at every visit. I had her visit twice a day at specified time frames. I looked forward to her texts and was relieved and put at ease with each picture sent. I didn’t have to wonder if the dogs got fed while away. She checked on Bingo’s ear for me when requested and sent pic of his ear to help reassure me his infection hadn’t returned. She charmed my bossy, beautiful, bratty Yorkie!! I will NEVER kennel my dogs again. I strongly recommend Courtney!! I just hope she doesn’t get too popular that she is hard for me to book again. Thanks Courtney!!”

“Michelle was just absolutely wonderful with Snow and Storm. This was my first experience with Rover and Michelle's hospitality has made me a satisfied customer. Thank you!”

“My babies all love Bianca as much as I do! She is very reliable, responsible and does a great job with my babies! Bianca has stayed the night and also last minute visits to care for my babies multiple times. She is amazing and I highly recommend Bianca!”

“Luke has been a fantastic sitter for our dogs. He’s really good to them, asks the right questions and does a great job communicating with us. He also helped us out in a bind when an unexpected visiter stopped by! Highly recommend Luke!”

“Katherine was super awesome with my rescue who has major trust issues. It's so hard to line up friends and family to let your critters out for potty breaks when you are away. Katherine makes the process much smoother. I felt very comfortable knowing that she was there handle things. She even sent some pics of the dogs!”

“Dana was great with my cat, Remy. She was very responsive via message and flexible when arranging a time to do a meet and greet. Remy can be shy but I was so happy to see that he was out and about with Dana. This really put me at ease while I was gone!”

“Tia did such a great job taking care of our two cats during our vacation! We really appreciated her thoughtfulness in sending detailed report cards with every visit, and enjoyed the cute pictures that reassured us that our boys were happy and well cared for. Tia was conscientious in taking care of all the other little tasks like watering plants, filling the bird feeders, and cleaning up cat oopsies. It was great to come in the door upon our return after a long day of travel and having no issues to deal with! Would highly recommend Tia and we look forward to booking her for our next trip.”

About: I’m always the first to be next to the dog at any event. My love for fur babies started young with family pets, friends pets, and hopefully my own one day. I hold them to a high importance and make sure they’re happy as can be. I’ve been post grad for about a year now, living at home. I’m currently working a full-time job from 7-4. Time away from home is something I do enjoy . Weekends off with an occasional quick serving dinner shift on Saturday, I keep my weekends pretty open. When I’m with fur babies, I enjoy getting to know them, taking care of them like my own, and communicating with their owners like I would a child. Making them happy is top priority while also entertaining myself. Entertaining myself means I will be taking them on walks, playing with them, watching movies with them, cuddles, etc.
“Kind and compassionate.l! Took the time to learn about our pups and their schedule and was very positive, friendly, and knowledgeable in our meet and greet. Would book again in a heartbeat! Nothing but a positive experience.”

“Kaeli was great! Super friendly and I really appreciated the quick turnaround for a meet and greet and first drop in visit. She left me a detailed message about the visit and pictures of our pup having a great time with her! We will definitely be rebooking!”

About: Hi! I’ve always loved being around animals. I’m patient, attentive, and understand that every pup has different needs and will be diligent in ensuring those needs are met. My goal is to make your dog feel safe, loved, and excited for our time together. I’ll always keep you updated so you have peace of mind! I am currently a stay at home mom and have availability throughout the day along with the needed childcare as jobs arise. I am free during the day for walks or check-ins while you are at work! I am a caring and patient person who loves all animals. My goal is to make every animal feel safe and cared for when in my care!
“Andrea went above and beyond taking care of my cat and my plants when they needed it! Very communicative and always on time! 10/10 will rebook w Andrea anytime I need and always recommend!”

About: I provide attentive and loving care to pets of all sizes, from small lap dogs to active breeds, as well as bunnies, cats and birds. As I work from home, your pet will receive consistent attention throughout the day, regular walks, playtime, and plenty of companionship. I take time to understand their needs so they feel secure and relaxed. Every pet in my care is treated as if they were my own. With my work from home environment I am able to deal with pets all times during the week. I do travel some weeks, in which I will not take on any pets. I am flexible on schedules. In the spring I will note I coach, and may be gone for 2-3 hours maximum on some nights if there is an overnight pet. This scheduling information will of be provided ahead of time to ensure you know exactly how your pet will be cared for. As I work from home your pet will be watched all day. Whether they choose to join me or relax elsewhere in the house is up to their preference. I do not have a kennel and am okay with pets being able to roam. I also want to break up my day so they will get walks every 2-4 hours if they would like. I also have a fenced yard that I can see from my office if they are wanting to spend more time outside. Personally I’ll probably be outside with them :)

Jean was amazing. This was my first time being away from my cat Kali and I was very nervous. Jean was very reassuring and during my vacation I received photographs and text updates which really made me feel secure. Now I’m back home safe and sound with my kitty and I have a fine collection of photographs to enjoy. Thank you for everything Jean. I’m sure I will use your services again in the future.

Jenna and Spencer are the absolute best! They made us feel ultra secure while caring for our pets during our summer vacation. Getting daily messages and pictures of our pets made our vacation more fun, for sure! We will definitely ask them to care for our pets in the future and sincerely recommend Jenna and Spencer to anyone who is concerned about leaving their pets for any amount of time. Dan

Heather was wonderful with our dogs. She showed up for us on a last minute request for the 4th of July. Needless to say that is the hardest day for our dogs with all the fireworks. She helped calm them and care for them while they were stressed and was prompt, personable and communicative. Thanks Heather!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
