Leticia wash excellent. Kept us informed everyday. Our feline children are somewhat challenging and she was on top of their needs. Our home was in great shape when we returned.

Overall, really happy with how our first Rover experience went - we know our dogs can be a lot to handle - so I'm glad Ariana was up for the task. They seemed to be very happy to have the company while we were away - will definitely be back for our next trip!

Jamie was amazing. We have a relatively new year old rescue dog with lots of anxiety, combined with two older dogs. She completely understood how to watch for all the personality traits and possible conflicts and worked so well with our rescue. She worked with the puppy and he’s so much calmer. Jaime was also was a really clear and prompt communicator.

Elaine stepped in on super short notice while we were out of the country when a friend of ours who was dog sitting became overwhelmed. Once she arrived, the whole situation calmed down to how it should have been. We are very grateful for her expertise and experience that helped her step in “blind” with no meet-and-greet. We came home to very happy dogs and a clean house!

Aubrey is so personable, and was very adaptable to some schedule drop off and pick up adjustments! She has a big heart for all animals in her life. She took care of our dog Cooper and he became part of her family. I am glad to have met her, including my husband and son. Thank you

About: I grew up on a farm in Colorado and have spent my whole life caring for my own and other people’s animals. I have experience with challenging behaviors, medication administration, senior pets, and anxious pet care. With 16 years of hands-on animal and farm experience, you can trust my knowledge, reliability, and communication. I live nomadically and work online, so my schedule is flexible and I’m able to give pets lots of time, attention, and consistency while they’re in my care. I know every animal is different, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know their personalities, routines, and comfort levels so they feel safe and settled while you’re away. I work online and live a flexible lifestyle, so I’m able to be very present with the pets in my care. My schedule allows for plenty of attention, walks, playtime, and consistency throughout the day. I’m very attentive to animals, their behavior, and their environment. Whether we’re out on a walk or relaxing at home, I prioritize safety, consistency, and making sure pets feel comfortable, secure, and cared for while you’re away.

About: I’ve taken care of every sort of critter since I was a little kid and have always been passionate about making animals a part of my life. This includes puppies, dogs with disabilities, blind cats, animals needing medication, and lots of animals with big personalities-I even have one my self (Australian blue healer). I have volunteered all over the country at different shelters while traveling and have worked for shelters and animal ranches. You could say I know a thing or two about animals. My dogs are essentially my kids and come on almost every adventure with me. With clients, I treat their dog exactly how I expect others to treat my furry ones when I’m out of town. If there is anything special that you’d like to let me know, then I am all ears. I spend most of my free time rock climbing and adventuring outdoors. I also love to read and paint, so if your dog isn’t as active, I will certainly lounge around with them :) All of my pets get better care than I think most dogs ever get and your dog will be treated just the same! My dogs are always involved in every activity and never feel left out. They all love to learn, play, walk, adventure and of course get snacks! Just let me know how you normally take care of your dog and we can make it work!

About: Hi, I’m Krystle. I’ve had animals in my life for as long as I can remember, and caring for them has always been something I’m deeply passionate about. While dogs are my favorite, I’ve also raised and cared for cats, chickens, and have experience around horses and other farm animals as well. Over the years, I’ve worked with dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments, from energetic puppies to senior dogs needing a slower, more attentive pace. I also have experience with special needs pets, including three-legged dogs, arthritis, and sensitive digestion. I’m comfortable with all aspects of care, including feeding routines, administering medications, bathing, light grooming, structured exercise, hiking, playtime, and of course plenty of affection and snuggles. I truly believe animals feel the energy you bring, and I strive to create a calm, safe, and supportive environment for every pet in my care. I’m also a Wilderness First Responder, which gives me a strong foundation in handling unexpected situations. I have experience treating minor injuries such as puncture wounds, removing foxtails, and staying aware of environmental hazards like snakes and toxic plants, especially important here in the desert and on trails. One of the most meaningful experiences I’ve had was fostering a terrified, unsocialized Rez puppy who had no prior human connection. With patience, consistency, and care, he transformed into a confident, loving dog and became the shadow of my sweet Opi boy (may he rest in peace). I trained him in foundational commands like sit, stay, lay down, gentle, and recall, and helped him become a well-adjusted trail companion. I’ve also trained my own dogs in both manners and fun tricks like roll over, spin, speak, hug, and shake. I said goodbye to my sweet boy, Opi, in January of this year, and I no longer have dogs of my own. Because of that, I’m able to fully dedicate my time, attention, and space to the dogs I care for. Before this chapter of my life, I served just over 9 years as an Active Duty Marine. That experience shaped me into someone who is highly reliable, detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and deeply committed to doing things the right way. I approach every pet with empathy, attentiveness, and genuine care, and I’m always happy to answer any questions to make sure you feel completely comfortable trusting me with your furry family members. Pet care is my full-time focus, so my days are intentionally structured around the needs of the animals in my care. This allows me to provide consistent attention, regular outdoor time, enrichment, and a calm, stable environment throughout the day. I prioritize a balanced routine that includes exercise, rest, and individualized care based on each pet’s energy level and personality. Whether your dog thrives on activity or prefers a more relaxed pace, I’m able to adjust my schedule to support what makes them feel most comfortable and at ease. I take a thoughtful and highly individualized approach to pet care, tailoring each stay to your dog’s specific needs and your preferences as an owner. No one knows your pet better than you, and I value that insight, whether it’s routines, medical needs, quirks, favorite toys, or anything that helps them feel safe and comfortable. Safety is always a top priority in my home. I have a fully fenced backyard for secure outdoor time, and I’m experienced in managing a wide range of temperaments, energy levels, and group dynamics. I’m able to provide structure, supervision, and separation when needed to ensure every dog feels safe, respected, and supported. I maintain a calm, stable environment and am very attentive to behavior, body language, and overall well-being. My goal is to create a space where dogs can relax, feel secure, and settle in naturally. My husband and I both genuinely love animals, and your pet will be welcomed into a home that is attentive, respectful, and caring. Your pet will be cared for with genuine attention, respect, and affection every step of the way.

About: Dogs that come visit usually have a blast being part of the pack and end up learning some desirable behaviors with my 2 service animals Bellie and Lola. I am a retired veteran so i am free to work with dogs all day everyday, its very rewarding and works great with my schedule. I have a couple of runners set up and shade structures. When it is hot I let the dogs inside. I take the dogs out to play with my pack often. We will go on walks, throw frizbee, play tag, practice tricks, etc. I like to take the dogs swimming too if thats permitted by the owners before hand ( I have doggy life jackets).

Aubrey is amazing!! My brother, sister-in-law, and I met up in Moab specifically so our pups could meet each other but we knew we wanted one pup-free day for human activities. They both have some quirky behaviors and we were a tad nervous leaving them with anyone. Hoping to find someone to hang out with them for the day, we booked with Aubrey based on her bio and reviews and we couldn't have picked anyone better. She offered to come for a meet and greet the day before and our nerves were quickly calmed. It's easy to see that caring for animals is her passion and her understanding of dog behavior is difficult to find. It was such a relief to be able to enjoy our day and know they were with someone so capable. Aubrey also does incredible work for the animals in her community. Our pups joined her while she had to pick up a rescue cat from the hospital, run a puppy to her new foster, and unfortunately, pick up a pup that was tragically struck on the highway. And that doesn't come anywhere near encompassing everything she does. Advocating for and caring for animals is selfless work and it says all you need to know about the type of person she. You can trust she'll provide the kind of care you're looking for. We can't recommend her enough!!

Jordan was great. He was communicative and our dogs were well taken care of. He went the extra mile as a house sitter to leave house in great condition without any prompting which was very much appreciated after getting home from a long trip. Highly recommend Jordan for pet/housesitting!

Thank you for taking great care of our 4 Goldens at our campsite/5th wheel while we celebrated a wedding with family and friends! Just knowing you were hanging with them allowed us to truly enjoy the evenings. Two of our pups get anxious if left for long periods of time, and they were able to relax comfortably with you. That is saying so much! Thank you again Amber! We would recommend you to anyone needing a capable, confident dog lover to care for their pups🐾💕

FAQs for House Sitting - Moab

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Moab on Rover is $68.08 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 30 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Moab. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Moab walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Moab maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Moab choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
