I have been sitting through Rover for many years, took a long break and now that my 15 year spaniel has passed on, I am back and loving on pups as if they were my own and as often as I am available! I am a respectful and responsible pet, house and plant sitter and I can't wait to meet and play with your cherished fur friends! I love being outside as much as possible and having your high energy pet with me is a huge bonus. I also have experience taking care of puppies and senior animals. I have no issues with pets that may need more attention and training - including puppies or animals that have medical requirements. About: I have a way with dogs and will happily escort your pup on walks, hikes and can board them in my home which is dog friendly with a large back yard for play. I've lived in Moab and roamed the trails for over 30 years with canine companions of all types including puppies and seniors and understand the needs of all ages of dogs. I do now have a year old female dog who loves meeting new dogs and isn't overly energetic but rather more submissive than dominant with others. I can also help with basic training using both voice and hand commands. i have recently transitioned from my long-time career job to a very part-time gig and have plenty of time and energy to work with dogs and their people. Many days I can be available last minute but advance notice is preferred. Dogs need time to adjust to a new environment or person and I work with them to ease any anxiety then progress from there to trust and adventure. Plenty of exercise geared to their fitness level is key to their wellbeing as well as structured play. Dogs like routine so I try to match what they are used to as much as possible.

I have various experience including working with behaviorally challenged dogs of all sizes as well as experience working with puppies, seniors, blind, deaf, and incontinent dogs. About: Dogs that come visit usually have a blast being part of the pack and end up learning some desirable behaviors with my 2 service animals Bellie and Lola. I am a retired veteran so i am free to work with dogs all day everyday, its very rewarding and works great with my schedule. I have a couple of runners set up and shade structures. When it is hot I let the dogs inside. I take the dogs out to play with my pack often. We will go on walks, throw frizbee, play tag, practice tricks, etc. I like to take the dogs swimming too if thats permitted by the owners before hand ( I have doggy life jackets).

About: I can't imagine a life without animals around. I have been taking care of people's horses, dogs, cats, goats, and birds my whole life. I just sold my business and am in a great space to hang with your pup(s) while you hike or bike or raft in Moab. I have traveled a lot with our pups and know how nice it is to recreate without stressing about dogs in cars or not being able to enjoy the area because it is too hot to leave them unattended. Your fuzzy child is welcome in my air conditioned house and I love taking them on hikes with my pup Louie if they enjoy that kind of thing. Or, my lap is always free too! I just sold my business and I am very flexible. I am available for early drops so you can enjoy the area before the heat of the day. I enjoy hiking with my dog and love it when I can take others with me, which is dependent on the temps when we meet. I have a fenced in back yard but will keep them on leashes at all times when we leave the premises and on hikes unless you instruct otherwise.
