She kept us informed on the transition and frequent updates with pictures. When MP had a vomit, she immediately reached out to confirm if it was normal (it was)! She was cautious with other pet encounters, played with her and loved her in a sweet way. We could enjoy our stay with no concern for our sweet girl. About: I have a way with dogs and will happily escort your pup on walks, hikes and can board them in my home which is dog friendly with a large back yard for play. I've lived in Moab and roamed the trails for over 30 years with canine companions of all types including puppies and seniors and understand the needs of all ages of dogs. I do now have a year old female dog who loves meeting new dogs and isn't overly energetic but rather more submissive than dominant with others. I can also help with basic training using both voice and hand commands. i have recently transitioned from my long-time career job to a very part-time gig and have plenty of time and energy to work with dogs and their people. Many days I can be available last minute but advance notice is preferred. Dogs need time to adjust to a new environment or person and I work with them to ease any anxiety then progress from there to trust and adventure. Plenty of exercise geared to their fitness level is key to their wellbeing as well as structured play. Dogs like routine so I try to match what they are used to as much as possible.

I grew up with cats since I was very young and had the pleasure of adopting my now 10 year old, Joey, 2 years ago and he truly is my best friend. About: I’ve been working in nonprofit animal rescues in full time capacity for many years. I have various experience including working with behaviorally challenged dogs of all sizes as well as experience working with puppies, seniors, blind, deaf, and incontinent dogs. I currently work as the Operations Manager at Underdog Animal Rescue and Rehab in Moab. On my scheduled work days, I’m able to take care of pets before 8am, during lunch, and after 5pm. About: I’ve taken care of every sort of critter since I was a little kid and have always been passionate about making animals a part of my life. About: Dogs that come visit usually have a blast being part of the pack and end up learning some desirable behaviors with my 2 service animals Bellie and Lola. I am a retired veteran so i am free to work with dogs all day everyday, its very rewarding and works great with my schedule. I have a couple of runners set up and shade structures. When it is hot I let the dogs inside. I take the dogs out to play with my pack often. We will go on walks, throw frizbee, play tag, practice tricks, etc. I like to take the dogs swimming too if thats permitted by the owners before hand ( I have doggy life jackets).

“Kristen was amazing!!! We were in town for a scheduled event so we booked Kristen months in advance. Unfortunately, I had some medical issues & an unplanned hospitalization that prevented us from getting to our event. She was so understanding and compassionate when our plans changed. She ended up taking Dozer another day for us so we could spend a day in Arches NP. She also let us have an early drop off (6:40am). We didn’t have the luxury of meeting Kristen before the morning of drop off so we planned to meet Kristen, assess the situation, and make sure both Dozer & Kristen were ok at drop off. I was a little concerned about that…but didn't need to be. Kristen is a very nice, gentle person and Dozer took to her right away. He was even trying to give kisses in the first few mins…which he rarely does as a reactive, anxious, rescue terrier. I could feel immediately that Dozer would be spoiled with love while we were gone. :) Kristen took extra time to introduce her dog to Dozer because of Dozers needs. It went well. Louie was super sweet but Dozer is never really playful with new dogs so he was content to just coexist. Louie got that message right away and didn’t crowd Dozer, Kristen also took the dogs on a hike which is one of Dozers favorite things to do. I wish we lived closer to Moab so we could use Kristen all the time. But, since we don’t, we will just have to rebook with her next year when we are in town again. Thank you Kristen for making things easier for us and for loving on Dozer! After my 2 week unplanned hospital stay, my husband & I really needed the time together at Arches to close out our trip on a positive note. Hope to see you next year!”
