There is another puppy she walks in the apartment, but although we offered that she could walk Beau together with that puppy, she stated that she preferred to give each dog individual attention, which we were surpised by and appreciated. About: I've had cats and dogs all my life. My family adores animals, and your pet will receive lots of love and attention from our household (my husband and I as well as our two college aged children). We recently lost our dog of 12 years and are looking to fill that hole with the time spent with your fur baby. I have a private fenced yard and there is a park on the corner of my home. I will manage all your pet's needs. I work part time 5 minutes from home. There will be at least 3 walks a day and lots of attention. FYI there is usually a family member home at all times. Pets are allowed on furniture. I will follow your regimen and provide videos and photos of your pet. I only want to service one to two pets at a time. There are no young children in our home.

About: I am very conscientious and like dogs. I always had a dog while growing up, but I don't have one now because I feel it is not ideal for a dog to live in a confined apartment, especially you are working and have to be away all day. I live in a dog-friendly residential neighborhood so there are plenty of places to walk the dog---the streets are quiet and not too much traffic. There is also a large park not too far away which I go to on nice days and could take the dog to. Also my apartment is pretty big and there is plenty of room for your dog to walk about. I also don't mind if your dog gets up on the couch with me (or by himself)---I don't have any problems with him being comfortable. PLEASE READ MY ENTIRE PROFILE. There are some dogs I am unable to host. Thanks! Now that I'm retired I have time on my hands. I will take care of your dog as though it is my own, and he or she will have no restrictions in my apartment--the couch, the bed, wherever he wants to lounge is fine with me! I treat your dogs as though they're my own. They have the run of the apartment, can lounge on the sofa, and sleep with me if they want to. I will also strictly maintain any dietary restrictions you need for your dog.

About: What sets me apart is the level of care and intuition I bring to every animal I work with. I’m not just a sitter—I genuinely understand dogs on a deeper level. I’ve helped deliver puppies, cared for senior dogs with patience and attention to their changing needs, and I have hands-on experience rehabilitating abused and neglected animals. That means I’m calm, observant, and able to read behavior quickly—whether it’s a nervous rescue or an energetic puppy still learning boundaries. I’m especially comfortable with puppies (potty training, basic commands, structure) and senior dogs who need a slower pace, medication, or extra comfort. I also naturally go above and beyond—whether that’s making sure routines are followed closely, giving extra affection, or keeping a close eye on subtle changes in behavior or health. Outside of sitting, caring for animals is just part of who I am. I regularly feed and look out for stray animals, and I treat every dog like they’re my own. Your pet won’t just be watched—they’ll be understood, protected, and genuinely cared for. As an only child, I’ve always found a deep sense of comfort and connection in caring for dogs. Being able to meet their needs, earn their trust, and give them love brings me a genuine sense of purpose and fulfillment. I have a large, fully fenced yard with low grass, which creates a safe and comfortable space for dogs to walk, play, run, and enjoy plenty of outdoor time.

“This was my first time using Rover and having someone other than a friend or family watch my 13 year old cat; Arli absolutely took care of my girl just like she was a close friend or family. My cat was in her trust for almost 2 weeks and everyday I got several photos and she was always very quick to respond about anything. I travel for work for long periods at a time and truly felt more at ease with my cat in Arli’s care. I can tell from the photos that she’s a true cat person! When I finally got home my place felt better than I left it and my cat’s space was as well taken care of. My cat also didn’t seem in distress when I finally got home after the long trip- a true sign she was well loved and taken care of. I will absolutely be booking Arli again!”

About: Growing up, I had the joy of loving and caring for an 80-pound, goofy, American Pitt Bull Terrier, named Meryn. Throughout my high school years, he was my constant companion, playing catch at the East River Park on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. We would jog across the Williamsburg Bridge and run up and down the stairwell in my apartment building to burn off energy (we lived on the 11th floor). He was an incredibly curious boy, who made training fun. He was very motivated by treats and praise. Through repetition and treats he learned all the basic commands. I have petsat many times for family members over the years. Pets included are dogs (large and small breeds) cats, hamsters, and a bearded dragon once. My longest dogsitting experience lasted 3 weeks with my aunt’s pug, Coco Rico, while my aunt was on vacation. During this time, Rico had an ear infection and I had to administer his ear drops. Being a pug, I had to ensure his eyes and face folds were clean. I have catsit for my brother’s diabetic cat, Tuna Fish, on several occasions. I administered insulin injections daily. I learned how to measure the proper dosage and how to safely/comfortably give her the injections. She was diagnosed with diabetes in 2020, so it was not easy learning how to give a cat a shot via a Zoom call with the vet! But learning this and helping my brother with the insulin injections, kept Tuna going for 4 more years after diagnosis. This is by far the most medical care experience I have had with pets. Nowadays, I regularly borrow my Gen Z daughter’s dog, Espresso. He’s a Pomeranian-Chihuahua mix, and my favorite little guy. My grandpup, if you will. With this past winter being a very cold one in NYC, I ensured to dress Espresso in his sweater, coat, and boots for his walks. I do photo shoots with him while on walks, during play time, and naps. I update her with anecdotes throughout the day, such as mentioning any puppy pals we ran into while out and anything funny or adorable he’s done. She even recently said to me, “You take the most wonderful pictures of him.” That truly warmed my heart because I love capturing him in different places and poses. My pet baby now is an American short hair cat with calico patterned fur, named Basil (aka Ms. Lady Boop Boop). She’s a 16 year old, still feisty gal, who has a favorite fishy toy that dangles from a wand. Being a senior, she has developed arthritis in her old age and now makes use of cushioned stairs to get on the couch/bed. She also needs an eye ointment, the application of which has become part of our daily routine. In the past, when she has been ill, I've also given her medicine in liquid form via syringe as well as getting her to swallow a pill. Additionally, I took care of a feral cat that would visit me now and then. My family has a home in Albany, in upstate New York, and I'm happy to board dogs up there for weekends or extended stays should a pet parent allow it. The feral cat that would visit me was in Albany and would appear randomly in our backyard. I fed and watered him whenever he came by. He was deaf and the sweetest guy, who loved rubs and to hang out on our deck. He had an extra digit on each front paw, so I dubbed him Thumbs. One day, when he visited, I noticed immediately that he had fleas on him. I gave him a bath a kiddy tub in my backyard with flea shampoo. I bought the flea comb and collar and got rid of those pesky bugs. I know he was grateful because he'd been scratching so hard, his fur was missing in some places. I am a visual artist and writer, working from home, so my weekdays are flexible. I set my own schedule working on my projects so I can easily accommodate different pet types and time slots for care. I occasionally travel to my family home in Albany, upstate New York, but I always plan that ahead of time and I am happy to board pets up there if the pet parent is open to that option. I live in a 2-bedroom apartment in Brooklyn, NYC. I am located on the 3rd (and top) floor of a walk-up building. I have a senior, female cat, who is very relaxed and sleeps most of the day. There is no outdoor space here, but there are local parks nearby, including a dog run. I also have a house upstate, in Albany, NY. There is plenty of space for running around here, including a backyard. We are currently having a fence put in and I will update this when it is installed.
