“What an amazing experience for us and our dogs! This was our first attempt with Rover and it was a success. Steph was incredibly attentive, caring, and so respectful and responsible to our furry babies and our home. Our Frenchie is an epileptic and Steph handled his seizures with diligence and empathy. Steph’s care set the bar and we hope to book again soon! Thank you Steph for such a pleasant experience!”

“First time using rover and had a great experience! Cheryl was very nice and took care of our boys. I was provided with multiple pupdates with photos . She got to accommodation early and the dogs were very receptive to her. Will book again !”

“Ayden was great! I have 2 cats and a young German shepherd and they all seemed very happy with Ayden. She sent me plenty of pictures and I came home to my place very clean and exactly as I’d left it!”

“Crispin took exceptional care of our new dog! She shared photos and kept us updated throughout our time away. We really felt we could relax knowing our dog was in such good hands!”

“Chase does SUCH a phenomenal job! He was so attentive to all our notes about Pierre and went above and beyond! It was extra hot while he was sitting and he even brought an extra fan for the dog! He is so kind, responsible, and bright. We truly trust very very few with our dog but Chase is top of the trustworthy list!! A++ work, we highly recommend.”

“Aliyah was great with our dogs! She arrived on time and sent us lots of update and pictures. We were definitely reassured that our dogs were in good hands and had someone to keep them company.”

“Leo was great with our 12 year old Pitbull, Stewart, while we were out of town for a few days. He came by beforehand to get acquainted, and was very respectful of Stewart's need for slower introductions and limited eye contact. We were sent regular updates and pictures of our sweet pup having a good time without us. Coming home to a calm, secure dog, and a clean house was a huge relief. We'd recommend Leo to anyone, and would certainly pick him again for our Rover sitter.”

About: Just returning to the app! My entire life has revolved around animals. I grew up in a family that always adopted the “unadoptable” dogs — seniors, medical cases, and those with serious behavioral challenges. That gave me early, real-world experience managing everything from reactivity and anxiety to advanced medical needs. For years, I’ve worked professionally in animal rescue, boarding facilities, and under skilled dog trainers. I’ve fostered dozens of dogs with both behavioral and medical special needs, including those requiring strict medication schedules, wound care, and post-surgical recovery. I am comfortable with dogs of every breed, size, and temperament — from bully breeds to high-drive working dogs to seniors who just need gentle support. Because of my background, I know the difference that true experience makes. Too often, pet owners are forced to leave their dogs with sitters who aren’t equipped to handle more than the basics. My goal is to offer the kind of care I expect for my own dogs: knowledgeable, reliability, and peace of mind. When your dog is with me, you can feel confident that they’re being cared for by someone who has dedicated years to understanding and working with animals at every level. I work from home with a fully flexible schedule, so I can tailor care around your dog’s needs. Your pup will have constant supervision and attentive care throughout the day We have a 5 acres and a fully dog proofed fenced yard for dogs to enjoy. We listen to what you tell us about their needs and personality and will cater to that. We know every dog is unique.

“Ann was sweet and patient with my kitty and very communicative, sending me updates and photos to ease my mind while I was out of town. It is clear that Ann truly cares about animals and is attentive to their nonverbal communication. I felt assured that my sweet baby was in good hands, and I returned home to a happy kitty.”

“We went away to visit our daughter. There are only 2 people we trust our dogs with when we are away. Dario is one of them. Thanks for caring for our fur babies as if they are your own! Archie and Lennon love Dario!”

About: I have been caring for animals since I was a young girl. I have experience and knowledge with a wide range of breeds, behaviors, and pet wellness. As someone who has raised and loved dogs throughout my life and is fortunate to have an Aunt who is a veterinarian, I believe I am uniquely qualified to care for other people's animals as well. I currently have a 30lb scruff named Lily who is a Griffon Verdeen mix and enjoys playing, napping, and going on long sniff walks. I always have her greet other dogs on a walk before letting them into the house so that both dogs can get their excitement energy out before the house sniffing begins. If you have any questions or special needs, please feel free to reach out and discuss them. I can currently work remotely, so my daily routine is adaptable to the needs of the day. I am available for walks throughout the day and check-ins. I have a fenced in backyard, friendly neighbors, a playful medium sized dog and a dog-friendly home. I also feel comfortable house sitting if that is a need as well.

“Mariah was incredible watching my Ruby. She clearly is a dog person and treats dogs with so much love and respect. She took her on all sorts of outings, to the dog park, on walks, and totally rolled with the more high maintenance parts of a frenchie. She sent tons of updates and even washed something my dog had an accident on. I would (and plan to) her again in a heartbeat!”

About: I’ve lived with and taken care of dogs since I was a very young kid. My neighbors would frequently trusted me to take care of their dogs or walk them. I volunteer frequently at the animal shelter and have considered adopting for myself. During the summer, my schedule is relatively empty and I am free to watch and play with dogs for the entirety of days. Playing with dogs has always been my favorite way to spend a day, and I am eager to include your pup on any and all activities that go on throughout the day. The safety of dogs is the most important thing. My house is pet friendly and there are no other pets in the house. However, I live a 2 minute walk from the beach and have a car that I frequently take into the Santa Barbara hills for runs and hikes. I lead a very active lifestyle and would be eager to keep your dog active during the day as well. At the same time, if a dog likes to relax, I would be just as excited to hang out at the beach or on the couch. If a dog has high energy, my goal in the past has always been to wear the dog out with fun activities and exercise, and I am always willing to cater to the needs of your pup.

“Grace was wonderful with my kitty Rory. Rory can be very shy and she warmed up to Grace so quickly which made me feel so much better about leaving her in Grace’s hands. Grace is a wonderful communicator and sent me so many pictures and videos throughout her stay - it was wonderful! Highly recommend Grace to watch any of you pets :)”

“I highly recommend Mike to come to your home and take care of your pets. I was gone for two weeks and he made sure my dog was safe, healthy and happy. I will definately be asking Mike again in the future.”

“Grace was an amazing dog sitter for us during our stay in Santa Barbara. It was our first time using Rover so we were not super prepared on our dog sitting directions, but she went above and beyond in asking us specific questions on the care of our dog and made sure to follow through on all directions that we’ve provided. She regularly sends updates of our dog and was quick to respond whenever we text her. We are very lucky to have Grace as our dog sitter and would recommend any dog parents to use her for their beloved pet(s).”

“Justin took care of our senior dog over the weekend. He was very responsible with timing and all of our dog habits! And seems like our dog had a good time with him :) Justin, thanks so much for your help, and hope to see you soon!”

“Jenna has watched our two dogs on multiple occasions. We have a 1 year old puppy and an 11 year old senior dog. Watching them is not very easy. Jenna is great with both of them. It’s always stressful leaving our dogs when we are out of town. With Jenna, we can leave and not be stressed out. I would highly recommend Jenna”

Mesa pet parents share their Rover experiences
We love Chase! He is so on top of everything and the kiddos all get such great care. It means so much to us to be able to leave for almost two weeks and feel comfortable and confident that they were all well taken care of and happy. Bonus that Benny gets to go run at the park and beach while he’s here!

Mariah was an excellent pet sitter for our senior cat, Bobby. She was incredibly communicative and gave me frequent and helpful updates and photos (which I asked for and really appreciated while traveling). She helped troubleshoot some of our cat's issues (he is a senior cat so these happen), was observant/responsive, and I had full confidence that our cat was in good hands. Our cat warmed up to her right away (she gave him treats to coax him out from under the bed), which is not typical for most pet sitters or guests that come to our house. She was very helpful by checking our email and taking out our trash as well. I look forward to working with Mariah in the future!

Ella is wonderful! She was kind, loving, and attentive to both our dog and our family’s needs, which gave us great peace of mind while we were on vacation. She paid close attention to details, communicated with us daily, and sent photo updates (even when we had limited service), which was both reassuring and gave us something to look forward to when we missed our dog, Lea. Ella cared for our home responsibly and made everything easy and worry-free. We’d happily book her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a thoughtful, dependable sitter.

Aariah helped me out with a last minute trip I needed to take and I’m so thankful she was available. She was communicative, responsible and let my apartment spotless. She loved on Missy and took such amazing care of her while I was away. Do not hesitate booking with Aariah!

Ann went above and beyond caring for our cat Nico. She was incredibly flexible with our last minute schedule changes, kept our home spotless, and sent regular photo updates that gave us so much peace of mind. I highly recommend booking Ann. She is an outstanding Rover sitter and we will absolutely be reaching out to her again in the future

Emily is the best dog sitter! She was easy to communicate with as we scheduled the dog sit dates and was great at letting us know how our fur baby was doing while she watched her. Emily not only took fabulous care of our dog by walking her and spending lots of time cuddling her, she took great care of our home. Emily is a top notch dog and house sitter!

Alana was so great! I couldn't recommend her enough. Our pup gets anxious and nervous around new people and she was so caring and understanding of our needs. I my wife and I were so happy to have her dog sit for us. She was so great at understanding our pups needs and was able to build rapport with our pup. We were happy to hear how well our pup loved her and was so comfortable with her while she dog sit and house sit for us. We will definitely use her again.

Listen to this — Ash is AMAZING. I honestly can’t believe I found her again on Rover!!! Years ago, I lived somewhere else and she took care of my dogs with such intention, heart, and reliability — truly treating them like her own. When I lost her contact info, I was devastated. She had become such an important part of our lives, and no one else compared. Now that we’ve reconnected, I feel so lucky. Ash is everything you could hope for in a pet sitter: dependable, kind, calm, loving, and truly in tune with animals. My dogs absolutely adore her — they light up when they see her. She doesn’t just “watch” them — she connects with them. She notices their moods, their quirks, their favorite routines, and she communicates clearly and warmly with me the whole time. Ash has always gone above and beyond — whether it’s sending photo updates, spending extra time with my pets, or adjusting to last-minute schedule changes. She brings a kind of care that’s rare and real. I trust her completely, and I’m so relieved to have her back in our lives. If you're looking for someone who will love your pets like family, Ash is the one.

Beth did an incredible job watching over my girl Missy. She was communicative, responsive and left my apartment just as clean as I had left it. Missy was sleeping when I arrived home and I could tell she loved having Beth stay. I can’t recommend booking with Beth enough!
