“What a pleasant experience!! Rebecca was kind and able to work well with the critters at my home for an important weekend for me (the first since I had surgery, and the awesome relaxation that I was able to spare myself to stop professional burn-out). It was so appreciated!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life, including having two of my own. I love dogs to the point I want to become a veterinarian. I would love the experience of getting to know dogs and their personalities Pet care fits into my routine on the days I’m available: Sunday through Tuesday and Fridays. On some days I get out of school at 12, so I’m free from 1–10, and on other days I get out at 2:10, so I’m free from 3–10. I also have a part-time job at a carwash, but I can plan around it to make sure I spend plenty of quality time with I make sure pets are safe, comfortable, and happy wherever they are. I follow the owners’ instructions for feeding, walking, and playtime, and I give lots of attention and love. I’ve cared for my own dog for over 10 years, including training and handling a dog with aggression, so I know how to manage different personalities and needs.
About: I have been a regular pet sitter for friends, family, and coworkers since I was a teenager. I have experience with large or small dogs, elderly dogs, cats, and pets that need medication or other accommodations. I have experience with dog-sitting for up to two weeks at a time. This has sometimes included, but is not limited to, administering medication, cleaning up messes inside and outside, walking, feeding, and bathing. Ensuring the safety, health, and happiness of each pet I take care of is my top priority and it is one of my favorite things to do in the world! I do not have the same schedule weekly, so I will constantly update my availability. I only know my availability up to 3 weeks in advance. Unless I have to work very early the next day, I am available for overnights at least 3 days a week (typically). I am unable to have pets at my house because I live with a family member’s dog that does not do well with other animals. Please give me any and all instructions! I will make sure to follow any routine that I can for your pet to be comfortable. I will provide as many updates/photos as requested.
“Julie has watched my dog multiple times now and has impressed me more and more each time. This time Ele got sick (from eating grass while we had a friend do a late night check in) and Julie was kind enough to get it cleaned up for us when she didn't need to. Will continue to user her services”

“Jenna was amazing. We left town pretty quickly and she was able to come by, even on a holiday, to take care of our kitties. We got to see pictures of them while we were gone. I can’t thank her enough.”

About: I own four rescue dogs, three of which are small and one of which is medium. I am currently fostering a cat and an elderly dog. All of my animals will be in their crates if you book me for boarding. I’m currently free 24/7 so I’ll have plenty of time to entertain your pets. Although come August I will be back in collage and I’ll only be able to mornings and nights. I have a large fenced yard with plenty of space to play and currently five small/medium sized dogs that are very friendly for your pet to play with.
About: I’ve taken care of many dogs since I was about 10 years old. My family, friends, and neighbors have relied on me to walk, feed, play, and bathe their pets. I have also taken care of cats since I was about 10 years old as well. I am currently a college student, so I will have plenty of time to play and take care of your pups! I am available M-F. I will also be available on weekends if told in advance! I have a fenced in yard with plenty of room to run around and play fetch! I live near a few dog parks that I would love to take your dog(s)!
“I can’t even begin to describe how amazing Jenilee was. My cat is a bit feisty and not the most friendly, but immediately warmed up to Jenilee and started rubbing against her. Jenilee was super nice and accommodating; we had a little meet and greet sesh before I booked her services. She was extremely attentive and followed my instructions to the T. When my trip got pushed back and I couldn’t return home in time, Jenilee was really understanding and had not issues extending. She really put me at east with daily updates and videos of my cat”
“Savannah was so helpful and thoughtful. Her communication really made us feel very at ease while away. She took extra steps to assure our comfort and the comfort of our fur babies. Excellent service and would definitely book again.”

“Isabella was so thorough and professional. She checked in and out, sent us several pictures and a summary of each visit. I could tell from her comments that she loves pets and enjoys doing this service. I will use her again!”

“Cyndi was wonderful! She hung out for a good while and even tried to throw a toy for them (they aren’t usually that interested in that). Even though my dog growled a little, she managed to woo them and they had a great time. Highly recommend.”

“Janis did a wonderful job caring for our senior Maltese while we were away. She was very organized, on time, and wonderful at communicating with us on how our dog was doing. I recommend her and am so glad I found her! Thank you so much, Janis! We will be reaching out again for the next time we are away!”

About: Hi!! my name is Brynn and I am a junior at IU Indianapolis, currently studying event management. I’m a student athlete who has time off in the summer looking for something to keep me busy. I grew up a big animal lover, surrounded by many animals myself. I have had multiple dogs and cats throughout my childhood and currently have three cats in my own. In my free time I also like to volunteer at the Humane Society so I have a bunch of experience with the dogs there. I have most of my free time Friday through Sundays, but during the week I can schedule around my class time. Tuesdays and Thursdays are when I have my most time during the week. I love going on long walks if your pet is active, or I love to just sit and cuddle or play if that is more of your pet style.
“Bailey is wonderful and took great care of our pets while we were away. She managed our three page list of instructions with ease. We could enjoy our trip knowing our fur babies were in good hands.”

About: I have a rescue terrier dog and a pit/bully dog myself. I usually house sit during the summer for my parents and friends when they take vacations. I currently work in a middle school as a special education IA (para). My kids are teenagers so don’t really like hanging with mom anymore so I’m looking for something to fill my time and make extra cash while doing it. I can care for the pet at clients home with whatever directions the clients leave. I just wanting to make sure the pet is comfortable and taking care of.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
