About: I love all animals. I have watched dogs, cats, snakes, iguanas, and even fish for many years for friends and family. I have also owned sugar gliders for about 15 years on and off. I cant remember the last time I did not own a pet. I have expanded my area that I am able to provide service for. I will go pretty much anywhere from 465 to about 20 minutes outside of 465 any side of town, but it does not allow me to do that on the map. But if you live farther than 20 minutes from me, I will need to bring my own dog with me. Lola is on my profile, but she is 9 years old a miniature Chihuahua and weighs just under 7 pounds. She’s house-trained and crate trained and does not bark. It is just simply too much for me to go home three or four times a day to let her out if you are more than 20 minutes from me if this is acceptable to you, please by all means, give me a shout. I will give anybody a 10% discount if I have to bring my Lola with me. I enjoy being around animals and have never found one that didn’t like me. I have cared for and house sat many family and friends’ pets. I had a dog for several years that was deaf and blind in one eye who we taught our own form of sign language to for communication. It’s amazing how quickly he caught on and how adaptable he was. For the comfort of your pet I am unable to sit with your pet without a face to face meeting with you and your pet in your home. This helps him or her know me a little as well as me getting to know them. We can talk about your expectations and I can learn about your pet while I am there. They deserve nothing but the best while you are gone and this will allow me to give that to them. The holiday rate for additional pets is $25 each whether its a dog or a cat. Also any animal in a cage, aquarium, or terrarium is an extra $10 a day per cage if you wish for me to do anything with them such as feeding, cleaning their cage, or anything else. This includes but is not limited to birds, iguanas, fish, hamster gerbils or mice, lizards, geckos, or sugar gliders. I will manually go in and change the total after we talk and I give you a new total. My price is $50 per night for up to two pets. I will adjust your rate accordingly. At the third pet is where the additional pet fees start to come in. Cat fees are $30 a night for the first 2. A dog and a cat is $50 a night. Any animal in a cage is an extra $10 a day. Holiday rates are $60 per night, for the holiday only, for up to two pets. If one of the two pets is a puppy then it’s $55 a night for the first two. Additional pet fees apply after the second one. I live in Greenwood, Indiana ( Johnson County) and work on the north side of indianapolis Indiana. I am available 7 days a week but I work in the office 3 days a week for my full time job. I work from home 2 days a week and off weekends so I would be available to stay all day on those days. My job let me be flexible on the days that I work from home so if you want an extended weekend and need for me to be there all day I can do that. I walk my dog and also have a fenced yard with a doggy door. My cats are always on my lap when I’m at home. They all get fed in the mornings and in the evenings. My dog likes going on walks with me around our addition.
“Jasmine is the absolute best!! She goes above and beyond - even taking in our trash can and bringing in our packages. She is so sweet and cleans up a little as well. She even stays with my pets for at least half an hour every visit and gives them loving. I don't trust anyone more than Jasmine and will keep choosing her as my #1 to watch my pets!”

About: I have taken care of animals since I was a young child. I have experience with dogs, horses, chickens, and more. I have experience in training dogs and horses and would love to help care for your pet! I currently work prn (as needed) as a Registered Nurse, so I have a lot of free time! I am extremely flexible and would love to watch your dog! In addition to being a Nurse, I have experience as a nanny, dog sitter, and worked at a horse ranch for years! I have a lot of experience in different fields and will keep your property and pet as safe as possible while I am there.
“Jenna was amazing. We left town pretty quickly and she was able to come by, even on a holiday, to take care of our kitties. We got to see pictures of them while we were gone. I can’t thank her enough.”

About: I have had cats all my life and have been the proud owner of a mini Aussie dog for almost 1.5 years. I have always had a passion for animals and actually have a degree in Animal Health and Behavior. I had dreams of being a zookeeper but unfortunately had to postpone those due to personal reasons. However, my heart is still in taking care of animals/pets, and I'd love to help you with yours! I am currently unemployed and my husband works a 7-5 Mon-Fri job. Therefore I'm available to pet sit or do walks on the weekdays! Late morning-afternoon preferred. If needed, I can provide house sitting on weekends. I can drive to your house and walk your dog around the neighborhood. I have my own dog as well, and could even have them play at our apartment complex (lots of outdoor space). Because of my skittish cat, it would be difficult to bring your dogs inside my apartment, but can do so if necessary.
“Steph did a great job of taking care of our pup! We appreciated her being available on such short notice and her communication with how our dog, Charlie was doing while we were gone. Thanks Steph!”

About: I have always grown up with pets and have pet sat many times before for relatives, neighbors and other family friends. I am not like any other sitter or boarder or pet walker. Growing up around animals has really taught me so much. These animals are someone’s best friend and cuddle buddy. They should not get any less love or attention when staying at my home or when I come to visit your pet! Time spent with your furry friend is valuable time that the pet will remember! I cannot stress enough how excited I am to meet all new friends and to build bonds with not only the pets, but the families who love them so much. I look forward to hearing from you!
“Kristina is great with my fur babies. They have really warmed up to her and love her visits. My bunch is usually skittish and hide, so it’s a great sign that they come out to play with her!!”

Whether it’s a weekend trip or daily visits, I make sure your pet feels loved, safe, and entertained while you’re away. Let’s keep those tails wagging! I have two cats Luna and Bellatrix as well as a dog named Roxie! Morning walks and play time are a must in our house. Both cats get their morning wet food and pets. Roxie loves to visit her favorite spots in the neighborhood on our morning walks. On weekends we take her to the trails by our house to go exploring. Your pet’s safety and well-being are always my top priorities—I follow their routines closely, provide a secure environment, and give them the attention they deserve. “Maria is a 5 star sitter who considers and applies all of the details when caring for our sweet and senior Maltipoo fur baby. My mind is at ease when I’m at work knowing that all of her needs are being taken care of. Maria is simply fabulous!”

About: We grew up we were always the one getting asked to watch/feed/check on everyone’s animals and I really love still being able to do this!! I (Emily) currently work for myself doing my cleaning business around central east Indiana and this always me to care for more animals! My schedule is flexible during the week! We have a privacy fence in our backyard that also leads to a big park that rarely anyone visits that has a big open dog park with it! Our own animals get feed 3 times a day and we have a cat room separate from the dog area.

About: I own four rescue dogs, three of which are small and one of which is medium. I am currently fostering a cat and an elderly dog. All of my animals will be in their crates if you book me for boarding. I’m currently free 24/7 so I’ll have plenty of time to entertain your pets. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Fortville with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
