âThe pups and birds had a lovely stay with Lavinia, so glad we found her. Lavinia sent helpful updates daily that put me at ease while traveling, super appreciated. Always a blessing to find such a kind soul to look after the babies.â

âWe had an absolutely fabulous first experience with Ona staying in our home and watching our kitty Mira while we were in Bermuda for two weeks. What a great communicator!! And she was so willing to do all kinds of extras that come with a large home and landâincluding putting out corn for our wildlife friends and making sure our gardens didnât wilt in the unexpected heat wave. Our kitty absolutely adored her, and she wants us to go away again soon so that she can snuggle and play with Ona again :) Thank you for everything, Ona. It was a joy to have you watching over our home.â

âSuzanne was a terrific dog sitter for us! Punctual, communicative, trustworthy and friendly, we knew our pups would be in good hands. Suzanne provided us with several photos, videos and updates, all of which were much appreciated as we donât often have folks stay with our dogs. We were able to fully rest and relax away from home, knowing our dogs were in loving hands!â

âKatherine has dog sat for me several times and has been great with my pups. She sends regular updates, and pictures. I look forward to future bookings with her.â

âAnna has been an amazing dog sitter for us more than once! She is responsive and sends many pictures. Our animals are calm and excited to see her. She watched our pets few multiple days in our home and left our home clean - even helped with our plants while we were away. I would highly recommend Anna!!â

About: I had dogs all my life, I love them!! I currently have a 11 years old weimaraner, which is in Spain with my parents, and a 5 years old Russian Toy, Harry. Harry is living with my bf and I in Rochester. He is 4.5lb and a super easy-going boy! So, I am used to all dog sizes, and I do pretty well with the high energy ones!! I'm a PhD student so I can scape from the lab anytime. I normally walk my dogs very early in the morning, at noon and at night. During the weekends I give them long walks. At my place my dogs have been always inside home and at their own. When they go out is always under my supervision. Since my dogs are well behaved and not destructive I've never used crates. If I take care of a dog that is not mine, I will listen the requirements from their humans to have a good care of their needs.
âMackenzie was absolutely amazing! She took such good care of our dogs and sent pictures and videos the whole week. Our dogs were so peaceful when we returned. We will definitely use her services again. She is an absolute sweetheart!â
âRicky "petsat" our elderly dog and 2 cats in our home for 4 nights and they were well taken care of. Our dog requires multiple medications and Ricky was comfortable with administering. He didn't balk at cleaning up little cat puke! He is quick with communicating and sent us photo updates. I felt comfortable that our fur babies were being well cared for. Thank you Ricky.â

âSarah was great! The dogs were at ease when we got home from our trip, which was such a relief! She took great care of the dogs and kept the house in order. She is very easy to work with, and we will definitely work with her again!!â

âMegan was incredible in every aspect of taking care of our 1-year old mini schnauzer, Tater Tot. She was so communicative and responsible in every way. She sent so many pictures and videos â it put us at ease! Her dog Murphy was the perfect companion for Tater, so well behaved and played super well with him. They ended up being such great buddies! Could not recommend Megan enough!â

About: Iâve taken care of some of my family and friends pets for about a year now. I really enjoy taking care of them, playing with them and taking them on a walks. Iâm a student at St John Fisher, I also play football, most of my football stuff will be in the early mornings. So I just need to be able to work around that and my class schedule I will show up to the house and take care of the pets and anything that needs to be done with them, I am open to exploring options

About: Often available, caring, playful with animals, currently have 1 dog (Mountain Cur). I volunteer at Pet Pride and so I have experience with pets. When I was 8-10, we had a dog (German Shepherd/Yellow Lab). I am willing to do anything besides keeping dogs here over night. I work part time (two days a week) 2 miles away from home. I help take care of family members' dogs, mainly at get togethers. Working with animals is my passion and by doing this, I can pursue my dream. When watching dogs, I will play with them, walk them, and do anything else in my power to make sure they're taken care of. I really hope you will at least consider me for a sitter for your pet(s).
âCorwin was responsive, very clearly communicated with us, and made sure our pups were taken care of while we were away. He sent frequent updates and was very professional. We really enjoyed having Corwin take care of our pups and would happy to have him do it again in the future!â

âLaquan had a challenging assignment: looking after 4 vivacious French Bulldogs for a couple days. One in particular, required special handling because he is moody. Laquan rose to the challenge and kept the peace.â

âDavid saved the day when he stayed with our special needs dog and senior cat. We trusted they were in good hands and I am not sure they noticed we were even gone!â

About: I've taken care of 3 dogs and a cat at once for years, and I can walk them in any weather conditions (even the tundra of Rochester). I've also had lots of experience with dogs and their medications as well as energetic dogs. I am a full-time college student at RIT, so Monday-Friday I have classes from 8am-5pm. I can do drop ins on Tuesdays and Thursdays midday (11-2pm) and house sitting from Friday nights to Sunday nights. In addition to the bare minimum of feeding pets and taking them on walks and outside, I also love to give them affection and play with them.
About: iâve always loved animals and been looking for a way to incorporate that passion into my daily life! please donât hesitate to reach out to me and get to know me before i watch your animals :) i am in college at the moment but iâm free every day just depends on the time of day needed, i can always work something out it is guaranteed that if i am going into your home, i will proceed with caution and care. not only for the sake of the pet, but as well as the owner!
Mayor's Heights pet parents share their Rover experiences
Lavinia was a wonderful guardian for our sweet older pup! She treated her like she was her ownâand she treated our home the same! Very conscientious and communicative. Followed all instructions to a T. Lots of pictures and updates and love! Wouldnât hesitate to book with Lavinia again!

Saoirse was a great house sitter for us! We have two cats and two dogs, including a young puppy, so itâs not an easy job! She was attentive and communicative. She sent us photo updates all the time! I will definitely be reaching back out to Saoirse for future needs!
Caroline did a great job with our doggos, was very caring and intentional with giving us updates, and left our home in tip top shape. It was evident our doggos were appropriately spoiled while we were gone because they were excited to go outside and play when we got home and this morning - highly anticipating their frisbee time and treats that Caroline did while we were out. Would definitely recommend and will be using Caroline in the future!

Cassidy was great with our 5 month old puppy for a house sit while we had to be out of town for a few days. She sent pics and took him for walks and had plenty of playtime. She also left our house tidy - couldnât even tell she was there. Weâll definitely have her back again!
