About: Hi, I’m Shelby! I am a huge dog lover and always have been. When I was 12, I hit the jackpot when a dog showed up on my front porch and stayed forever. My best friend was a year old when I met him and 14 when I lost him a few months ago. I am confident in my ability to provide senior dogs with the level of care they require because I dedicated so much of my time to giving my boy the highest quality of life in his final years. I’ve also had my fair share of puppy-sitting (and my dog was a beagle) so I’m well prepared for the level of attention and care a puppy requires. I currently have a pet tortoise, Tomato, and spent a few years of my life working closely with non-venomous turtles and snakes, so I’m very comfortable and familiar with caring for reptile pets. I love non-venomous reptiles! I currently work 9-5 typically, but my work schedule is flexible. I work very close to where I live, so it’s easy for me to care for my tortoise and a pet at a different location. When I have dog-sat with this schedule before, I would care for the dogs before leaving for work and immediately upon returning home. I am also able to stop by during my lunch breaks to let pets out and give them some love. When I’m pet sitting in another person’s home, I do my best to keep pets on their normal schedule/routine. I will also spend time allowing pets to adjust to my presence and to get used to the new smells. I take steps to be as respectful and considerate of both the pet and the human’s space as possible.

“Rene was great. She did everything asked of her. The best thing is that she spent most of her time at my home with the dogs! Most sitters only had a few hours they could be available through the day, and then would just sleep here. Rene dedicated her time to being here with my fur babies, which was the most important thing for me”

About: i’ve always loved animals and been looking for a way to incorporate that passion into my daily life! please don’t hesitate to reach out to me and get to know me before i watch your animals :) i am in college at the moment but i’m free every day just depends on the time of day needed, i can always work something out it is guaranteed that if i am going into your home, i will proceed with caution and care. not only for the sake of the pet, but as well as the owner!
“Ricky did an amazing job taking care of our three dogs in our home! We have already booked him again for next month and as long as he wants to continue staying with our little pet family, he will be our first choice!”

Corn Hill pet parents share their Rover experiences
Corwin was responsive, very clearly communicated with us, and made sure our pups were taken care of while we were away. He sent frequent updates and was very professional. We really enjoyed having Corwin take care of our pups and would happy to have him do it again in the future!

Lavinia was delightful and really helped me when she made herself available on short notice when my regular sitter became injured. She asked thoughtful questions that reflected her experience and took great care of my guy. I left feeling confident that he was in good hands, and I was right!

Portia was the perfect person to house sit and take care of Tupper while we were on our honeymoon. From our first meeting with Portia, we had zero concerns about leaving him with a near stranger for 10 days. Portia communicated efficiently and regularly, she met every expectation we had and we came back to a well taken care of boy. We would recommend Portia to anyone and look forward to working with her again!

We hired Komal to stay at our house for our two dogs - one of which is quite high energy and anxious and the other who is 18 and needs some special attention. We were very happy with how everything went for the long weekend away. The dogs were happy and healthy when we got back and the house was neat and tidy. I really enjoyed getting to know Komal in the visit and got a great vibe right from the get go. We loved that she has so many years of experience. She made the whole thing very easy and sent plenty of updates - including what has become one of our all time favorite photos. I would absolutely recommend her very highly to other folks.

Maggie and Morgan were AWESOME. They were genuinely endearing, very attentive to our babies, and extremely respectful of our home and wishes. The text and pics updates made us feel at ease, and we didn't feel any anxiety away from our pets which SAYS A LOT. They went above and beyond, leaving our home exactly as we left it (maybe better!). They are super sweet people, and I think maybe our pets like them better than us.... We would love for them to sit for us again!!!
