About: I’ve always loved being around dogs and genuinely enjoy getting to know their individual personalities and routines. Growing up, I had a golden retriever that has crossed the rainbow bridge. I’m attentive to their needs, whether that means playtime, walks, cuddles, or simply keeping them company. I’m patient, responsible, and committed to making every dog feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while they’re with me. I also have experience caring for and co-parenting a dog long-term, so I’m comfortable with the day-to-day responsibilities that come with caring for a dog and making sure they’re happy, well cared for, and comfortable in their routine. While I was in school, I also spent some of my free time helping local adoption organizations find loving homes for stray puppies. I have a structured routine with flexibility throughout the day, which allows me to provide consistent and attentive care. I can accommodate regular walks, feeding, playtime, and companionship while maintaining each pet’s usual routine. I prioritize safety, comfort, and trust when caring for every pet. Before caring for a dog, I like to speak with the owner and learn about their pet’s temperament, personality, routine, and individual likes and dislikes. I make sure doors and gates are secure, dogs are supervised appropriately, and walks are done safely with a properly secured leash and harness or collar. I follow each owner’s instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medications if needed, and any routines or boundaries their pet is accustomed to. I also pay attention to each dog’s behavior and give them the right balance of exercise, play, attention, and downtime. I love sending pictures and updates to owners while their fur babies are in my care, so they can see how their pet is doing and have peace of mind knowing they’re safe, happy, and well cared for. (I prefer doing a meet and greet with the owner and pet before I commit so that both parties are comfortable especially the fur baby 🥰)

I almost became a vet at one point, but after shadowing, I realized my heart just couldn’t handle that side of things. About: My experience and background with animals spans over the course 20 years. I've worked as a veterinary technician, fostered nearly 2 dozen puppies for rescue programs, and founded my own successful non-profit rescue & conservation program dedicated to primitive canids. I had the wonderful experience of helping one of these rare dogs whelp & raise a massive litter of 12. I've owned numerous breeds including a Beagle, working-line German Shepherd, working-line Anatolian Shepherd, and numerous primitives such Carolina Dogs, a coydog hybrid, & an imported Canaan Dog. I've trained dogs in sports such as schutzhund & nosework. I established my private dog training business in 2019- specializing in puppies and working dogs such as service & livestock guardian dogs. I've been blessed to own two wonderful cats! On our homestead we had an incredible indoor/outdoor boy that kept the rodents at bay. We also have a sweet, indoor-only kitty that lives the high life with raw food & endless cuddles! I'm thoroughly experienced in caring for senior dogs & cats, administering medications, first aid, & wound care. I've fed numerous specialized diets, including fully raw. I adore the puppy stage- including crate training, potty training, & socialization. I'm a strong advocate for socialization that bolsters confident neutrality. A puppy's endless curiosity is so fun to harness! I enjoy giving dogs a balance of outdoor exercise like hiking, as well as indoor mental enrichment like games and puzzles. A tired dog is a happy dog! I train dogs part time & homeschool my daughter- which lends me a great deal of flexibility in my schedule. I can often accommodate short notice requests. Your beloved pet's safety is critical to me. I'm extremely cautious with opening & closing doors so no animals can slip through a door, check the fit of a dog's collar to prevent potential backing out, & ensure there's nothing a pup or kitty could get into thats potentially dangerous. I have a very strong preference for using martingale collars on dogs for walks to mitigate that risk. I've personally endured the tragedy of my young dog slipping the door and being hit by a car while a sitter was taking care of him- so I assure you I take this very seriously. Building trust with both owners and their pets is pivotal! I'm committed to open communication and honesty. I allow pets to greet me on their terms and understand some animals need a more patient, gentle approach than others. I strive to create a positive, calm environment for your pets- and once I'm trusted by them, I will add the playfulness and affection they deserve!

About: Rya & I just move to Elkhart in October. Allow me to take care of your four legged friend. Your dog will enjoy running and lounging in the open areas. After plenty of fresh air and outdoor exercise he will enjoy a sleepy snooze on one of the many cozy spots that he will find in a quiet home. Take the stress away from leaving your loving pet and let me take care of him while you are away.I like to do a " meet and greet" to see how the dog gets along with me and my own dogs. I do not have a breed preference. Of course I would like to know if the dog has any health concerns or behaviors I should know about, the dog's. My daily routine is wake up let animals outside. Then feed. Then I take care of myself. Relax, go for a long walk with them or run. I am free most days and weeks. I have 30 acres of fence in yard. I have a horse pasture I made it where the dogs can't get out they also have a indoor area where they can relax in shade. And water 24/7.

I currently have a very flexible schedule and am available most days and times, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. I’m able to accommodate last-minute requests, recurring walks, and longer stays. I’m reliable, responsive, and can adjust to your dog’s routine as needed. I have a fully fenced yard for safe outdoor time and make sure dogs are always supervised while outside. I currently don’t have other pets in my home, so your dog will have a calm environment and my full attention. I also have reliable transportation and can safely transport dogs if needed. While I don’t keep a crate on hand, I’m happy to accommodate one if you provide it and can easily transport it when necessary.

I’ve had a dog in my home since I was born. My specialty is rabbits! Rabbits are such unique creatures, & I know how to give them the care & gentle love they need. I’ve had 5 cats, 4 dogs, & 1 rabbit in my lifetime, & now, due to my living situation, I am unable to have my own furry pal. I am hoping to get my fix of animal love through this service, while also helping those who need a little help with their busy work schedule or holiday travel plans. About: I have taken care of all different kinds of dogs and cats since I was young. I volunteered at an animal shelter for one year in Denver and supported the shelter with socializing recently rescued stray cats. I helped manage the health needs of both my senior dog and cat when they got older. Friends, family, and neighbors trust me to care for their furry friends! I recently moved back to Michigan, and I’m taking some time off from my typical job as a social worker. During this time, I am at home full-time and available during the weekdays and on weekends to help care for your pets.
