“I am so glad to have found Erin. I loved getting updates and photos with her and Bailey. Communication was great and she always showed up between the agreed upon times. Bailey looked like she enjoyed Erin’s drop ins and walks. I would definitely use Erin’s services again. Thanks!!”

About: While I'm just getting started on Rover, i have been pet sitting for many years and it is truly my passion. I can offer you and your family peace of mind! My goal is to make you and your pet as comfortable and secure as possible while you’re apart. I will leave your house exactly the way I found it and am comfortable with cameras and ring doorbells. I’ve had animals all my life. I am also very passionate about animal welfare and contribute my time and money to many organizations. Many of my repeat customers are not on Rover so I am happy to provide more references upon request. In addition to pet care, I do have a work from home, 9-5 job at one of the most well known companies in Michigan. This enables me to be available for long periods of time to be with your pet at my house or yours. As long as there is WiFi, I can be there. I am very flexible to your families many different needs. I am happy to meet you and your pets needs in whatever setting is most comfortable. Your pet will have the run of my house during their stay. My house is big enough for your pet to have quiet alone time or be with the people. There is usually always someone home to be with your pet. I treat pets as beloved family members. Likewise, I am happy to do it at your home as well.

About: As a lifelong animal lover and cat owner, I understand that every pet has a unique personality and routine. I’m patient with shy or anxious pets, attentive to senior pets who may need extra care and monitoring, and comfortable following detailed instructions, including administering medications when needed. I pay close attention to changes in behavior, appetite, and energy levels so owners can feel confident their pets are in good hands. I work a hybrid schedule, which gives me plenty of flexibility for pet care! * Tuesday–Thursday: In-office in Novi from 8:00 AM–5:00 PM * Friday–Monday: Working remotely from home with a flexible schedule On my remote days, I’m able to provide more frequent potty breaks, playtime, walks, and companionship throughout the day. Even on my in-office days, I’m available before and after work and can accommodate morning, evening, and overnight care. Your pet’s comfort, safety, and happiness are my top priorities. My biggest goal is to reduce as much stress as possible while you’re away by keeping your pet’s routine consistent and providing a calm, loving environment where they feel secure. I understand that every pet is different—some want constant attention and playtime, while others prefer quiet companionship and their own space. I take the time to learn their personality, habits, and needs so they can feel comfortable and cared for.

About: Hi my name is Jackie. I have loved, owned, and cared for animals my entire life. I love ALL animals but am especially fond of dogs and horses. They each have their own unique personalities. I currently own a very shy rescued Bernese Mountain Dog and a Pembroke Welsh Corgi. I also have 4 horses - a pony, a paint, an appaloosa, and a national show horse. I have never met an animal I haven't liked! During my lifetime, I have owned several breeds including: German Shepard’s, a sheepdog poodle mix, mutt's, lots of Akitas, a Great Pyrenees, a Corgi, and a Berner. If you entrust me with your dog, I will treat them like family. He or she will get lots of love, special attention, and cuddles (if they like that). I will listen to your dog's needs and ensure that I give them what you ask for. I have large and small breed experience. I also have over 20 years of dog rescue experience meaning not only have I adopted, but I have also fostered, pulled them from shelters and helped get them into loving homes. It also means I have seen a lot of things and have cared for very sick dogs. I understand several medical diseases among animals. I have cared for many dogs with acute and long-term illnesses. I am very capable of caring for those with special needs! I work from home so your pet will always have company and a watchful eye so you can have a worry-free vacation.
“Anthony has been absolutely amazing. I do not know what I would do without him at this point… I work very long, odd hours. Because of him, I am able to keep my mind at ease knowing my puppy is very well taken care of. He has been caring for Bear, for a little over a month, a few times a week, usually twice a day.”

About: I’ve had the privilege of having at least one dog in my life at all times, so I truly understand the bond we share with our furry family members. From raising puppies to caring for elderly dogs in their golden years, I have experience with dogs of all ages, breeds, and energy levels. Whether it's a spunky Chihuahua or a high-energy Labrador or Dalmatian, I've worked with them all! With a deep love for animals, I provide not only safe and reliable care but also a fun, enriching environment for your dog. I pride myself on ensuring they have a great time while prioritizing their safety and well-being. I also have extensive medical knowledge, so if any health concerns arise, you can rest easy knowing I’m prepared to handle the situation. I completely understand how difficult it can be to trust someone with your beloved pet, as I've been in that position myself. That's why I treat every dog I care for like my own, providing the love, attention, and care they deserve. During the week I am home from Monday through Friday. That free time allows me the opportunity to care for your animals and give them the time and attention they deserve. My neighborhood is pet friendly , with plenty of grass and space for a healthy stay. My home is clean and pet proofed to ensure a safe stay.
About: I have taken care of all sort of animals for about 5 years now. I have watched after dogs and cats along with birds! I have looked after kittens, puppies, and senior animals. For some clients, I walk their dogs’ multiple times a day while making sure I leave them enough energy to play. If needed, I have given past animals their medication that is needed, however many times it is needed. For many pets, I go by their home and check in on them, give them food and water, play time and cuddles, anything to make them feel less lonely! I have taken some animals for car rides, of course, with the owners’ approval. I give animals treats, new toys, and lots of love, again with approval. I have always treated animals as if they were mine. As for any animal, I love them like you do. I will always move around my schedule to help in any way possible. I work 9-5 daily but I do not mind stopping in before or after work. If I know in advance, I can try to get a few minutes off during the day to stop in also. I can always do last-minute appointments and meet ups; it just depends on the distance. I do care for animals of my own on a daily basis, so adding in your amazing animals is no problem at all. Meeting and caring for your pets are just an added smile to my day. When it comes to watching your animals, they will always be cared for as if they were my own. I follow every instruction you leave. If you say two cups of water a day, two cups it is, if you ask, they only get ten minutes of outside time, ten minutes it is, and if you ask me to feed the birds while visiting your pets, I will feed the birds. I want your animals, even the birds, to be as comfortable as possible. I treat them exactly how I would hope sitters would treat mine. My hope is to make them feel as comfortable as possible, as if you have never left. Sometimes I do go beyond what the owner has requested. If your pet is prone to running away, they will always be outside with a leash. They will never be given the opportunity to run away. If there is anything at all that I can do to achieve this goal for you, your pets and myself, please let me know!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
