I can feed, administer medications, walk dogs, scoop poop, clean litter boxes, give playtimes and one on one attention. I am flexible and can do drop in visits or walks early in mornings afternoons or evenings depending on my work schedule. I can do drop in visits or walks on most weekends as well depending on my schedule. Your pet is my top priority when caring for them. I will make sure they are safe and well cared for. If I notice anything abnormal I will let you know. I can also send pics or videos interacting with your pet. I treat all animals like they are my own.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 7! I’ve been passionate about dogs since I was little. I am experienced in bathing, walking, playing, and caring. I am very careful, gentle, and respectful towards all animals big and small. I’m currently free most days of the week. Weekly appointments on Tuesdays would only affect the late morning/afternoon schedule. I do race within a barrel racing circuit that runs on MOST weekends. If I do not have races I will be free. This is only in the summertime. During the fall/winter/partly spring I will be back in university making time a little more sparse. During those times I will be only available on weekends. I have much respect for any environment. IF in your house, please do not be afraid to tell me anything important that I would need to know. I will always be sure to keep your puppies and kitties safe no matter what!! Animal safety is my number one priority.

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats for family, friends and neighbors. I have taken behavior training classes for dogs. I've had a mutual bond with all the dogs and cats that I have owned. I have volunteered at multiple dog and cat shelters over the past 5 years. I'm currently retired, but watch my granddaughter 2 days per week. I have hobbies and other activities, but my schedule is fairly flexible. I can usually adjust my schedule if needed. Friends, family and neighbors are comfortable with me entering their home and watching their dogs or cats. I have never had any issues with any of these arrangements.
About: Hi! My name is Donna and I have always loved animals of all types, but especially dogs! I’ve never lived a day on this earth without a dog by my side. I have been caring for dogs for as long as I can remember. My experience with dogs includes general care, training, puppy and senior care, grooming, nail trimming, and giving minor medical attention. I have interacted with or owned numerous dog breeds from toy to giant. My passion for dogs has been lifelong, driving me to learn all that I could about them over the years. I understand dog behaviors and how to interpret and deal with them. While my 40 years of experience is important, so too, is my deep love for this noble creature. 💕 I work as a second grade teacher during the year, so I am available during the summers and school breaks to take care of your fur babies. My school days end at 3:30, so I can also have a dinner date with your dog or cat if needed! Weekends during the school year are also an option! I currently have 2 large dogs of my own. Koda is a 6 yo Newfoundland I have raised from a pup. Samson, is an 8ish yo black Lab I rescued from Ohio. I had an English Mastiff, Trinity, for 11 years that recently passed, and I miss terribly. I crate train all my dogs in addition to basic obedience. They have a one acre yard to exercise in as well as regular walks. My dogs are all current on their vaccinations and receive regular grooming. All are in good health, living very spoiled, happy lives!
“Skye is amazing! Our Goose took to her right away. Even before she was giving out treats, which is always a good sign. Two walks in, and she was getting face kisses. She's just really great with dogs. We're quite ecstatic to have someone with such a great background and depth of dog care skill to help us ensure Goose gets the best care! I'm sure she's similarly capable with any other critters that need some TLC.”

About: Hi, I'm Aubrey! I have always been a dog lover, and throughout my life have been a part of the care of my own dog as well as those of family members. In addition to this, I have been dog sitting for others for over 4 years, working with dogs of different sizes, ages, and temperaments. I’m looking forward to expanding my network of furry friends here on Rover. I love to treat your fur babies as I'd treat my own! As my own sweet pup moved into her senior years, I learned a lot through caring for her and her changing needs. I know some dogs require a little bit more special attention, so please let me know if there is anything I can do to make them happiest! Currently I offer walk and drop-in services mid-day during the week, perfect for those long work days when you know your dog would love some attention during the time you're away! I can provide these services for either reoccurring or one-time visits, so whether you’d like your dog to have a daily walk, or you just know one day is extra busy and they need the attention, I’m here to help! Safety is a top priority when it comes to pet care. I always walk dogs on-leash, and supervise any outdoor time in your yard. I also make sure to closely follow any instructions you may have for your dog, especially when it comes to keeping them safe. I have experience with door dashers and will take extra precautions entering and exiting your home if your dog has this tendency.
About: My family’s owned many different animals over the years and I’ve helped take care all of them, including dogs, cats, squirrels, hedgehogs, horses, turtles and etc I’m currently a student and have class on Thursday and monday from 1-4pm, saturday and Sunday at 1-5pm. Other than that I’m free most of the time, always ready to take care of your pet In my home we have a dog run for the dogs to go to the bathroom at anytime, I’ll usually take them for a walk every other day if the weathers ok! Of course this might look different for your pet if you don’t have dog run I can take them out or even take them for a walk!
About: I genuinely treat every pet like my own—which means lots of care, patience, and probably some baby talk (only if they approve). I’m comfortable caring for energetic puppies who need structure, consistency, and positive reinforcement, as well as senior pets who prefer slower walks and extra care. I also understand that not every pet wants constant attention, and I’m just as happy caring for cats or dogs who prefer their space and simply want their routine followed—no forced cuddles here. I pay close attention to feeding schedules, medications, and special instructions (even the very specific ones that start with “they only eat if…”). I also have experience with anxious pets and know how important it is to keep things calm, move at their pace, and help them feel safe and comfortable. I always send regular updates and photos so owners can relax knowing their pet is happy, safe, and possibly a little spoiled. I currently work a full-time job Monday through Friday with very flexible hours, which allows me to step away throughout the day for walks, check-ins, and drop-in visits as needed. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine, and I’m able to plan my schedule around pets who need consistent attention, timely feedings, or regular walks. I’m also available during evenings and weekends for sitting, extended care, and additional visits. I prioritize reliability and clear communication so pet parents always know when to expect me and can feel confident their pets are being well cared for. I take safety and trust very seriously and always aim to create a calm, secure environment for every pet in my care. In a client’s home, I follow routines closely, respect the space, and make sure pets feel comfortable and stress-free while their owners are away. I’m careful with doors, leashes, and feeding instructions, and I always double-check that everything is secure before leaving. I pay close attention to a pet’s behavior and body language, especially with anxious or shy pets, and adjust my approach as needed. Whether I’m walking, sitting, or doing drop-ins, my goal is to keep pets safe, happy, and comfortable—while giving owners peace of mind through regular updates and photos.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
