“Christina took excellent care of our cat Nimmy and left a very detailed report. She went above and beyond. We plan on using her again in the future. Thanks so much, Christina❤️”

“Having Gabriella as a sitter was great! She was very communicative and cooperative during my booking. She followed instructions well. I would definitely book her again.”

“Darwin did a wonderful job with our 2 cats. They are so quick to respond to texts and always sent a descriptive note about how each visit went. Our cats were happy and relaxed when we arrived home again.”

“Incredible communication and professionalism throughout. If you’re apprehensive about trying this service out, do not hesitate to give Carla your trust. She’s worth far more than she charges!”

“Anna continues to be the best pet sitter you could ask for. She's punctual, kind, follows complex directions well. My girls absolutely adore her, and were so excited to have Anna visit at our new apartment! If you need a worry free stay out of town, Annas got you covered. She even does odd tasks like cleam my cats goopy crusty eyes when I can't be there to do so.”

About: I've never met a dog I didn't like! I grew up with multiple dogs and have experience caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and activity levels. From walking dogs to dog-sitting to playing with dogs, my friends and family know I'm the go-to person to ask when they need pet care. My husband Doug and I will always treat your pup like family in our house! I currently work from home during the day and have a fairly flexible schedule, so I have the ability to attend to your pets needs during the day - whether that's taking them for a walk, feeding them, playing, or simply showing them some love! My husband Doug and I have a senior pup Eddie who is one of the most chill dogs you will ever meet. Gentle and calm, he gets along with dogs of all sizes. We often watch multiple other dogs at a time, so it is important that your dog gets along well with others. Dogs are allowed on couches and beds in our home. There is no shortage of stuffed animals, balls, and tug of war toys to play with! You can trust that your dog will be in very good hands with us.
“Shannon is the best! She truly cares for your pets and it’s such peace of mind. She spends extra time giving cuddles which is all we want! Highly recommend her.”

“Rob was amazing, very punctual and very good with my cats. He did great with administering a pill to my kitty, twice a day. Highly recommend, and would want him to take care of my fur babies if I had to be out of town again.”

“Our dog LOVES Sydney. She’s the best. Was very responsible with our golden doodle Olive. Would 100% rebook with her. Super reliable and responsive too!”

About: Hi, I'm Caitlin! Being a pet parent is special, and I genuinely understand what it means to trust someone with your pet. I lost my 15-year-old dog last year, and that kind of loss changes how you see pet care, and it's exactly why I take this seriously. Every animal in my home gets real attention, a consistent routine, and the kind of care I'd want for my own. My home is a calm, adults-only environment with a fully fenced yard to ensure safe outdoor time, and my neighborhood is a quiet tucked away pocket near Cedar Lake. While I try to board pets only from the same home, there can at times be exceptions (mostly holidays). While my main living area is on one level, there are stairs required to get into the home via the front door. I also welcome & love cats. I've been fostering through Pet Haven for over a year, so I understand what a cat actually needs in a new space (spoiler: it's not just food and good vibes), and how to introduce pets to a decompression space and other pets they are not familiar with. I keep my roster intentionally small so I can give every animal genuine attention, not assembly-line pet care. You'll get photos and updates throughout, so you can actually enjoy your time away. If you want someone who treats your pets the way you would, please send me a message! I'm currently in between jobs, which means I have maximum flexibility for mid-day walks, drop-ins, and check-ins. I only confirm stays I can genuinely support. I build the routine around the pet to the best of my ability. I'll ask you what your animal's schedule looks like at home and do my best to mirror it. I know consistency matters! I treat communication as part of the service. You won't wonder how your pet is doing. At my home: As often as possible I try to start every stay with a meet-and-greet so your pet arrives already familiar with the space and with me. I'll ask you in advance about their routine (feeding schedule, walk preferences, any quirks or triggers) and I follow it to the best of my ability. My home is calm, adults-only, and has a fully fenced yard for dogs. For cats, I set up a dedicated decompression space so they can settle in at their own pace. I typically do not take overlapping bookings unless the pets are from the same household, but there are sometimes exceptions. At your home: I follow whatever directions you leave. I'll send photo updates so you know things are normal, and I'll flag anything that seems off rather than wait until you're home. For cats especially, in-home sitting is often the lower-stress option, and after a year of fostering, I know how to read a cat who's fine versus one who isn't.
About: Part time nurse, full time dog mom and human mom! 15+ years of experience fostering dogs for a local rescue taught me how to adjust care for different personalities. Our kids are gentle and will lavish your dog with attention or give space if needed. The focus will be giving your pet love, attention, exercise and making him/her feel safe and part of the family. Basic training will be reinforced but behavior modification or advanced training is not my expertise. In this ever changing world, sometimes I enjoy the company of pets more than humans. Their love and devotion is almost undeserved. I’m currently working as a nurse part time so I have flexibility. I don’t have a set schedule, I usually work 2 days/week, so I’m often home and literally just want to hang out with dogs. ;) Even on days when everyone is at work or school (between my husband and my schedule), pets would only be alone for about six hours. Your pet would have free run of the house if desired and be loved and welcomed like our own dog. I love to walk and would enjoy having a furry friend to keep me company. A walk for a dog is important not only for physical activity, but also mental activity and gives them a chance to sniff and explore their world. I won’t rush your dog along. Safety is #1. We have a (small) fenced in yard and a double door to our front entrance for those pets that like to rush to the door. We have plenty of space to accommodate a crate, extra dog beds, whatever would make your pet more comfortable! We can also provide crates depending on size. We are a non smoking home. There are 2 dog obsessed school age kids in the home, (who would only interact with your pet under my close supervision) along with our resident dog. If we needed to take in a pet that did best without other animals, our dog could easily spend some time over at his grandparents house to give your pet needed space.
“Daniel was great with my dog Pepper. He did a meet and greet with her prior to my trip to ensure they started out as fast friends. Pepper enjoyed her time with Daniel as easily scene in the many photos he provided. I had no concerns with him dropping in on Pepper my home and I appreciated his short-notice availability and flexibility. I hope to use Daniel again very soon.”

“Val is incredibly responsible and a good communicator! So thankful we found her—her flexible schedule and experience with dogs who are high energy/anxious was so great!”

Lynnhurst pet parents share their Rover experiences
It is a relief when we know that Annalise can watch our cat when we are away. She’s very conscientious – she knows a lot about pets – in fact, she made a suggestion about my cat’s diet, which has really made an improvement – she does it in a nice humble way. Highly recommend.
Marit has been a regular sitter for our cat for about the past year and a half. Marit takes wonderful care of our girl, is super communicative and responsible, and takes the cutest photos to send to us. Most importantly, our cat adores her! I would highly recommend Marit to anyone interested in a sitter.
