“Allison is a wonderful caretaker and the sweetest human to boot! My little spoiled poodle felt so at home and happy at his extended stay with her that I don't think he even missed his mum and we couldn't be more grateful for her expert and caring help!”

“Phoebe's recent first long-term stay with Russ and Janet went very well. We were able to enjoy our vacation knowing that she was well cared for receiving her walks, cuddling, and belly rubs and watching the outside world from her "cat perch" in the front windowsill. They sent updates and immediately contacted us one day when she was not feeling well, which quickly resolved. She enjoys being with them and they enjoy having her! Very happy with the care they have provided. Their 1-dog at a time policy is reassuring that our dog will happily hang out in a quiet home environment, as she is used to at home.”

“Riley and Hudson had an amazing stay with Heather. I received photo and videos of the dogs playing and doing tricks. The dogs even came home smelling better than they did when I dropped them off. She did such a good job I booked her for more weekends over the summer.”

“Morgan was super helpful when I needed a sitter on my road trip! She was so good with Molly and helped out extra since Molly wasn’t feeling the best on my trip and eating irregularly”

“So sweet! She sent me pictures of them every other day to keep me posted on how they were doing. She was fast at responding and welcomed my dogs into her home as if they were a part of her family too! When I went to pick them up they were happy and healthy! I will be using Lisette again to watch my pups!”

About: I have taken care of family pets for approximately 8 years. I am an avid animal lover and will treat your pet as my own. I’m currently working part time and have plenty of time to play with your fur baby as well as keep to any desired schedules. I have a fenced yard with a friendly dog that will love to keep your fur baby company. I can also crate your dog if that’s preferred.
“We couldn’t have asked for a better person to care for our Arthur! From the start, Amy was attentive, responsible, and truly cared for our boy like her own. Arthur is adventurous and always getting into something, but she handled everything with ease and kept us updated with pictures and messages. It was clear Arthur felt comfortable and happy in her care. Highly recommend! Thank you Amy, and Mayzie!!”

“Summer was lovely to communicate with and sent a lot of photos of Raven, which I loved ! Raven was super pooped when I picked her up so I know she had a lot of exercise too.”

“Indigo had a great time during his stay! Thank you so much Sandra for taking him in while I was on my trip & thank you for your flexibility with the pickup time!”

“Austin has excellent communication, very flexible with scheduling. Immediately setup a time prior to the appointment to have a meet and greet. Walter had an absolute fabulous time with Austin! Kept us up to date with how things were going, with videos, pictures, and messaging. Highly recommended Austin! 10/10 will book again!”

“This is the first dog I’ve ever owned and I was very nervous giving her to anyone to watch. Angie is the best. She made me feel at ease through the process and gave my dog Ripley a great week away. She sent me lots of pictures and was quick in her responses giving me updates on how Ripley was doing. I will definitely use Angie again.”

“Brittany is always our first choice when looking for a sitter for our dog! She loves her up and I love seeing her sweet family love her up too 😊 we are the happiest of repeat customers!!”

About: Your pet is not a guest in our house, it’s a loved family member for life! We individually your pet’s care based on its preferences and habits. I am a pet lover working from home who loves the company and snuggles. My kids are crazy about dogs and love them dearly also. We live in a beautiful home with a big fenced in yard but do take the dog(s) out daily to explore in the woods and have fun!
“We had such a great experience with Kristin! She took amazing care of our dog, Ozzy, and it was clear how happy and comfortable he was the entire time. She sent lots of picture updates, which we really appreciated, and it was so sweet to see Ozzy having fun and settling right in. He also got along wonderfully with her dog, Kaia, which made us feel even more at ease. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter, highly recommend Kristin!”

“Caitlin boarded our dog Frodo for a week, it was our first time leaving our dog with anyone. We couldn't be more pleased with the care Frodo receive from the family and the communication pictures and videos were great as well ! We highly recommend Caitlin and her family for pet care. We look forward to using them again.”

“Saktah did a great job taking care of my elderly and rather unfriendly kitty, Koshka, for two weeks while I was vacationing. She was very professional, organized, and caring, kept me updated on how my kitty was adjusting, and showed genuine affection and concern for her. She's driven to get things right and wants your pet to be as comfortable as they can be while you're gone. So if you (like me) have a pet that needs extra love and care, and you'd like to relax during your vacation knowing they're in good hands, go with Saktah. She's got you covered.”

“Karen is fantastic! My dog Jackson loves staying at her house with her two little dogs. She sends lots of photos and Jackson always looks happy. She is a great sitter!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Longmeadow
Sarah was amazing! From the beginning, she was very responsive to all of our questions about the booking. Our dog tends to be shy and can sometimes be aggressive with other dogs, but Sarah made it work, and our dog got along with hers right away. She sent us daily updates with photos and videos, which gave us great peace of mind. Our dog was very happy during her stay! We will definitely book with Sarah again and highly recommend her as a dog sitter.

Shekeyla and her family loved our two pups while we were away on vacation, they showed amazing care and attention to them, walking, feeding, sleeping arrangements, all day attention. We received photos and videos and updates daily. You couldn't ask for more from one of the top rated rover sitters in our area. We were very grateful and would 100% book again. 🐶 🐶

I booked a trip last minute - Darlene was extremely accommodating with timing and took great care of our dog Bear! She took amazing pictures, had a yard for the dog to play in, and made me feel reassured about leaving our dog in her care. I will definitely rebook if I am back in the area!

Joseirys M. was absolutely amazing with our dog Django. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. Django is a rescue and can be pretty anxious and fearful around new people, so we’re always very careful about who we leave him with. From the moment he was with Joseirys, it was clear she has a natural understanding of dogs and how to make them feel safe. She was incredibly patient, gentle, and attentive, and Django quickly became comfortable in a way that honestly surprised us. What really stood out was how well she adapted—not just to Django’s needs, but to our schedule as well while we were in LA. She was communicative, reliable, and went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing Django was in such good hands. If you’re looking for someone who truly cares and treats your pet like their own, I highly recommend Joseirys. We will definitely be booking with her again.

Anna and her husband took great care of our dog, Oakley, for a weekend! I was very nervous leaving our dog with someone we didn’t know, but from the beginning Anna was warm and friendly and helped us feel at ease. She was accommodating of Oakley’s reactivity and sent us updates throughout the weekend. If we ever need to find someone to watch Oakley again, we will definitely consider Anna in the future!

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
