“We are so grateful for the care Russ and Janet give Dallas! They are so accommodating and they care about him which allows me to be worry free while he is with them. Thank you both!”

“I had a wonderful experience with Karen. She watched my 9 week old puppy and provided me with updates. Karen was also flexible. I had to change my drop-off and pick-up time during one of the days that she watched my puppy; and Karen made it work for me. I's super thankful.”

“We had to book a doggie day care day last minute with Allison and she was fantastic! Very friendly and welcoming and she took such good care of our Poppy. Highly recommend!”

“This was my first time booking with Vassu. Vassu was wonderful with my dog, Maddie. Maddie enjoyed her large fenced in yard, including discovering her dog door. Maddie was also spoiled with walks, dog toys, and the company of Vassu's dog Ninja. Vassu shared pictures with me through out Maddie's stay. Vassu was professional and made my first time experience with the Rover App a comfortable and enjoyable experience. I will definitely use Vassu in the future. Maddie and I thank Vassu, Ninja, and her family for all the love you gave her while she stayed.”

“Sylvia is an amazing dog sitter! I used her services for two days, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. She and her family are incredibly kind, welcoming, and caring. They treated Luna like she was part of the family, and it truly gave me peace of mind while I was away. The best part? Luna had so much fun that she didn't even want to come home! 🥹🐾❤️ I highly recommend Sylvia to anyone looking for a loving, trustworthy, and attentive dog sitter. We will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Thank you so much for your understanding and care. She had such a great time and slept all the way home. Wish you lived closer because I know Mei would love to visit again. She is so shy and you really became friends fast. You are the best!”

“Thank you so much for taking care of Taro! Brittany is very responsive, thorough, and really nice! I really appreciate her quick response as it helps ease my anxiety.”

“Sarah is very attentive to my dog! She has made her very welcome and my dog has adjusted very well. I am very glad to have a safe and comfortable place to leave my dog while I am at work. Sarah is wonderful!”

About: Hi y’all! PROMO: ITZELM38651 I owned 7 dogs in my childhood and ever since I’ve always relied to babysitting friends and family furries. I always ensure that they are safely walking by my side on a leash while enjoying their time outdoors I'm a flexible worker who can work from home or even come to your place to take care of your furry friend. You can trust me to give your pet the highest level of attention, care, and affection possible. If you have any special requests, just let me know! “Adam and his family were wonderful with our pup. It was apparent that they had a love for animals. We received photos and updates throughout the day, giving us peace of mind that she was well taken care of. We were able to enjoy our day without worry. We can’t thank them enough!”

“My dog Milo adores Paul. It is extremely reassuring to see how excited Milo gets to see Paul pull into the driveway to take him for the day. Paul responds very quickly to messages/requests, is very accommodating, and provides me with updates and pictures/videos of the day they had on walks and hiking. I have utilized him numerous days when I need assistance with Milo, and it is nice to have someone so trustworthy to watch after my pup.”

“Okay, I am sorry. Cannot find another way to leave message on Rover. FYI, there is no "3-dotted icon in the upper right corner of the upcoming tab so that I can modify a booking." As Novelette & I discussed this week, I will not need daycare on August 10, 13, 24,27, and 31, or September 3. This is a combination of her and my vacation weeks and will be a rare exception to our regular Monday & Thursday schedule. Thank you for your attention, and here is my review: "Bruce loves visiting Novelette and is making a great adjustment there. She is very warm, nurturing, and responsive to his needs. We could not be happier with how things are going so far. Thank you!"”

About: Im an animal lover. Im a mom of 3kids , dog , 2cat and i think dogs are the most amazing creatures they give unconditional love. For me they are the role model for being alive. I’m currently working part time. But i’m ok to board and play with your fur babies on the weekends and some week days . Just let me know the availability and I’ll be open I do not have a fence yard. but i always take my dogs with me to walk , so I’m sure your fur baby would love and enjoy the walks and if not , i also have doggy crates if you don’t want your fur babies to be walked
About: I've had dogs for the past 19 years, mainly pitbulls and mastiffs. But I worked in a doggy day care in the past and have experience with all types of dogs even cats. Currently a hospital manager at an animal hospital. Open availability , early morning and evenings are great. Weekend availability as well . I work with animals all day , from cats to exotics. I can accommodate your needs however you need. Safety for your pet and I will be my main priority. I want you to feel comfortable and confident in my care. I currently work third shift 3 nights a week but have someone home on those nights. So your pets will never be alone . I also have 3 children who enjoy helping so it has become part of daily routine to do feedings and walks. I treat your pets like family, I usually request a crate for them so they have a familiar safe space in case they get overwhelmed but otherwise they free roam. I follow whatever schedule you follow at home. So if you allow your fur babies on the couch so will I. But if not I respect that and follow that as well. So it really is treating your babies like ours. I’m an early riser, so early morning feedings and walks are easy to fit into my routine. My work schedule can vary so I can be flexible with walks. I treat your animals as my own, while still following your household rules for them. I do request a crate during stays so your pets have a safe space they can feel comfortable in.
About: We’ve been dog owners our entire lives and have experience with dogs of all sizes. We currently have two friendly, well-trained Labrador Retrievers and provide a safe, loving, and attentive environment for every dog in our care. As a stay-at-home mom to two girls, I'm home for most of the day and can provide plenty of attention and care. We also have two friendly Labrador Retrievers who enjoy having canine companions. Your dog can expect a loving, safe environment with regular potty breaks, playtime, and lots of affection. For the safety of everyone in our home, boarding dogs must be friendly with both children and other dogs. We provide a safe, supervised environment where pets are treated like family. Your dog's comfort, safety, and well-being are always our top priorities.
About: I am an elementary physical education teacher who plays a lot of sports and loves to hang out with friends and family. I love playing and taking care of dogs. When I was younger I first started to dog sit for a few friends when they go out of town for the week/weekend, but now I enjoy giving all of my free time an attention to dogs. I love to run with dogs and play with them in the yard or at parks and see the smile on their face when they are playing with their toys! I am flexible with cancellations and any specific requests you have. Reach out if you have any questions! I would love to give your dog a mini vacation!!!! I am a very active person who likes to keep busy. I work during the week and are free in the early morning and afternoon. I am comfortable in new settings and can keep routines and rules that are had in the house. I can slowly build trust with the dog and have them find their comfort with me!
“Anna is a wonderful doggy care taker! Our two pups were very happy and she sent lots of pictures of them cuddling and hanging out just as if they were at our own home, not somewhere new! This was our first time using doggy day care for one of our dogs who we recently rescued so we were nervous but we couldn't have found a better person to make them feel at peace. Definitely recommend and will be requesting her in the future!”

About: Hi there! I’m so glad you’re here. As a lifelong dog lover and work-from-home professional, I’ve created a cozy, peaceful space where pups can feel right at home while their humans are away. I only host one dog at a time (unlike many petsitters), so your pup will be treated like family and get my full attention (and all the belly rubs they deserve). I specialize in anxious pups who do not like being with other dogs and do not like being alone - I keep my pup clients as close as they like and give them as much attention as they prefer. My husband and I have two children, 8 and 10 years old, who are very gentle and loving with dogs. We treat our guest pups like they were are own while they’re with us! All our doggy guests are welcome to make themselves at home—on the couch, in the sunny spots, wherever they’re happiest, I do not confine them to one room/zone of the house - no pet gates here! I have a large, unfenced backyard with a dog run for zoomies and potty breaks and we love getting out for walks too. I also have experience with senior dogs and administering medications, so if your pup needs a little extra TLC, they’re in good hands. If you’re looking for a quiet, cozy home-away-from-home where your dog will be loved and spoiled, I’d love to be their sitter! Please note: unfortunately we have an allergy in our home to short-haired shedding dogs and can only accept long-haired (hypoallergenic) dogs :) I'm home all day to spend time with your pup and treat them like they were my own! My goal is to make your dog feel like they’re still at home, ensuring they experience joy and companionship until you return. I will send regular updates and photos to reassure you that your furry friend is thriving and enjoying their time. We have a large un-fenced backyard with a run hooked-up for your pup to spend lots of time outside. We also love to take walks down our street and at the local park. If your pup has some leash aggression with other dogs, we can walk them in our large private backyard to ensure they get exercise but without the stress other dogs may cause. If they’re house trained they do not need to be crated unless it’s their preference. In the house, I allow our doggy friends on furniture (unless you specify otherwise) and in all rooms of my home. They will not be separated in a different room or crated, unless you specify otherwise.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Longmeadow
Shekeyla took wonderful care of our dog, Lucca, while we were away. It was obvious Lucca was comfortable and well cared for, and we really appreciated receiving a photo during the stay. Shekeyla was dependable, kind, and made the whole experience worry-free. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter.

Sylvia is an amazing dog sitter! We will definitely be booking with her again!

Our dogs are still puppies — not fully potty trained and definitely very energetic — so caring for them can be challenging, especially in a new environment. Rover was really our last chance to attend an important family event, and we are incredibly grateful to Darline and Richard for taking on this not-so-easy task with such kindness and patience. Charlie and Ellie were very well cared for and came home happy and safe. We truly appreciated the updates, care, and understanding they received. We’ll keep working on potty training and calmer behavior as they grow, but we could not have asked for more compassionate sitters. Thank you again!

Russ and Janet are friendly, welcoming, and provided a calm and quiet environment for our somewhat nervous and clingy little girl. They took extra steps to create a comfortable experience for her. Reggie is so nice and friendly. We didn't have any worries and look forward to future visits.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Longmeadow commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
