“Aleja T. Is a great person to watch our dog, it’s a third time we left our pug with her. She provided us with pictures and updates every day. Our dog always looked happy when in Aleja care. Any one who will pick her to taking care of his/her pet will be very satisfy. Thank you Aleja! You are the best!”

“Areli and family took excellent care of our pup while we were away for a few days. So thankful to know that our puppy was in good hands - especially since this was our first time leaving her. They made sure she felt comfortable and had lots of fun! Highly recommend to anyone who might be feeling anxious about leaving their dog for the first time - they’ll be in great hands with this sweet family!”

“Tanvi was fantastic with our dog (as always)! We were away on a two-week vacation, and Tanvi kept us updated daily with videos and pictures. Milo had a great time playing with new friends, and we didn't worry for a second because we knew he was in the best hands.”

“Michele was great with Tito! She gave plenty of updates and photos. It was our first time using Rover in a long time, and Michele made it easy. 10/10 would definitely recommend her for any dog sitting needs!”

“Jason sent lots of pictures and videos during Gemma's stay. She seemed to be having the time of her life at "camp;" swimming in the in-ground pool, and making new friends. Jason seemed to be very attentive to Gemma. She's exhausted from her week of fun!”

“Elizabeth was great with my dog and provided me with daily updates! This was my first experience with Rover so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I would definitely use her services again in the future.”

“Bhavani was so responsive and reliable. She sent me multiple videos and updates a day about Bosa’s feedings, bathroom breaks, and playtimes. I will definitely be booking in the future!”

“Kevin and his wife were great; able to take my 2 dogs at short notice . kept me advised how they were doing and flexible to work with my odd schedule. would recommend them to others.”

“Lisa is amazing! She did a great job keeping us updated with pics & videos. Our dog has never looked this happy when we’ve gone away. She kept her active with walks & playtime with her pup. Highly recommend!”

“Our Izzy is a bit of a problemed child. But after this overnight sleepover, it was clear that she felt very comfortable with Chris. He made the entire process very easy and we are very happy that we found a sitter that we can trust. A+++”

“Emily was amazing! She was so quick to respond from first inquiry and throughout our stay. She was also extremely flexible and transparent. She treated Lola like one of her own dogs and ensured that she fit into their family while she stayed with them. It was so reassuring to know that Lola was happy and loved the entire time we were away. We greatly appreciated Emily and Lola will definitely be back to visit her friends in the future!”

“Purvi, as always, was fantastic with our puppy! Naturally, he didn’t want to leave when we picked him up. She’s incredibly good with him, and we felt completely comfortable leaving him in her care while we were on vacation. We would definitely use her services again.”

“Siram and Rekha are a blessings to my family. Caliber my Golden Doddle is my whole world and the minute I met Siram and Rekha we bonded and I feel comfortable I was leaving Caliber in the best care and his 2nd home. Caliber gets along well with Milo. As long as they would have Caliber when I need a second home Siram and Rekha is my only option. Thank you both.”

“It was our first time using Rover and Jessica F.'s stay for our Bori (15lbs, Cavapoo). She not only sent photos and videos several times a day throughout the stay but also took very good care of our dog. We were worried that Bori wouldn't want to come home after the wonderful experience with her and her family. The fenced backyard she has is very good (Bori played a lot in the sun and the yard) and she has a separate stay area for the dogs. I will definitely ask her again for her help in the future! Thank you!”

“Max arrived an earthquake in an eclipse while in her care. Everything went wonderfully. He's such a sweet dog and had such a good time with all the other dogs. Everything really well. We're so happy to have our little dog back in such good condition.”

“Scott was incredible with Mocha. My family was away on vacation when a huge storm washed away the local highway. Scott brought his family and our Mocha to safety until it was safe to return. I couldn't imagine what would have happened if she was in a kennel with 30 other dogs and that happened!! Scott also sent us pictures every day and we could see she was very relaxed and happy to be there. Thank You Scott!!”

About: I’ve owned my own dog for 17 years and have babysitted friends’ dogs and many other client’s dogs by word of mouth. I am experienced with senior care and comfortable with administering medication. Ever since I started working from home and my soul dog passing the rainbow bridge I found I have more love in my heart to share with any dog out there. I recently joined rover because I miss having a dog in my home, being able to cuddle a furry friend is something I have missed dearly. I am a fully remote worker and have availability to be with your pet the entire day. I don’t often leave my house except for errands or the gym. I have a backyard and live on a quiet street with a park within walking distance. I will be able to give full love and attention to your pet for the whole day.

“Our dog had a wonderful stay. You can tell Ekaterina loves animals. Our dog was comfortable with her from the moment they met. It was so comforting to know our pet was in such good hands. We got a lot of pictures and you could tell our dog was enjoying her stay with Ekaterina's family.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
