“Lisa is amazing! She did a great job keeping us updated with pics & videos. Our dog has never looked this happy when we’ve gone away. She kept her active with walks & playtime with her pup. Highly recommend!”

“Vanessa was amazing with diamond. This was my first time using a sitter so i was very nervous. Vanessa sent me updates and the most adorable pics throughout the day. I knew Diamond was in great hands.”

About: We are a loving and lively household where we will snuggle and play fetch with your pup, take them to the dog park, and keep them happy and occupied. My husband and I have a very active goldendoodle, Bell, who is 9 years old. Neither of us remember a time when there wasn't a dog in the house growing up! We know that we are taking on no small task when we agree to be responsible for your furry friend. We will follow your instructions to a T and we realize that every doggo is their own unique individual with their own unique needs. We are pros when it comes to high-energy dogs with a mind of their own! I am a full-time parent of three and we have a dog of our own whom we are home with all day. Staying active with our doodle is an integral part of our daily routine and we would love to have even more walks, games of fetch, and tricks + treats to look forward to! We LOVE to love on your pet! In our home you can expect a minimum of two 20-minute walks a day, plus more upon request and some leash time in our back yard if they like to hang out and observe the world. We are big proponents of fetch and chase.
“Brain was very easy to work with. Meet and Greet was super easy and the actual boarding was super smooth. Max seems to have had a great time with Brian. I would highly recommend Brian.”

“Audrey took the absolute best care of our dog! It was our first time leaving him with someone that wasn’t family but she made us feel like family! She loved him like we do and she kept us updated during his stay! I not only recommend her but plan on using her again! Thank you so much!”

“Luis (and his wife Laura) were very welcoming to our small dog. He sent photo updates twice a day which was very reassuring. It’s great to have such a reliable and caring boarder in the same town!”

“Samantha was amazing! Best Rover we’ve had yet. She sent us multiple pictures and updates every day. We have a St Bernard who can’t stay in the hot weather too long and she made sure to keep him in AC with lots of water. We also had an unexpected issue at the end of our trip, and she was able to take on our dog for two extra days which was a lifesaver. She even gave us tips for our dog after regarding some bumps on his body which was kind and helpful. We can’t wait to use her again!”

“Leslie did a wonderful job watching our two small dogs (a mini-poodle and a bichon) for a nine-day vacation. She followed all our detailed requests (about food, etc), kept in frequent contact, and sent us lots of pictures. It was pretty clear that our dogs were well-pampered during their stay, and possibly did not want to leave! We will use Leslie again unhesitatingly in the future.”

“We were nervous about leaving our pup for 8 days, but Jonathan was great! He kept in touch, sent pictures and was flexible when our return flight was delayed. Our dog returned happy and we will definitely use Jonathan again.”

“Rocky loves staying with Kathryn and her family. She is very attentive, keeps me updated and also sends me pictures. I always feel at ease leaving him with her because I know he’s being very well taken care of. I’ve been taking Rocky to her for a while now and will continue to do so, I definitely recommend her :)”

“Susan was great with our senior dog! We loved getting the daily updates and could tell our pup received excellent care and his routine was very similar to the one he keeps at our home. Would recommend Susan in a heartbeat!”

“Our dog Monster had a fantastic stay with Michelle. We felt very comfortable leaving him with her family for 9 days while we were away. She provided multiple updates throughout our trip, and it was easy to tell Monster was having a great time. Highly recommend!”
“I had an amazing experience with Alaine as my dog sitter. She was highly responsive, providing daily photos and a detailed "report card" summarizing Brizo's activities and well-being during the four-night stay. Alaine took exceptional care of Brizo, and her own dog, Pasta, was a wonderful host too. I highly recommend Alaine for her attentiveness, communication, and genuine love for animals. Brizo can't wait to visit again soon!”

“Shaun was so great with Scout! Sent helpful updates and Scout seemed so happy when I picked her up after four nights away. Would definitely recommend and I know Scout can’t wait to go back.”

“Yuberkis is AMAZINGGG! She was a Godsend for being able to take Gizmo last minute and communication was always easy. He stayed with her for 3 days and I received pictures and videos during his whole stay. I loved seeing him play with his other doggy friends. It's obvious that she loves dogs and takes care of them like her own. 1000% recommended and will definitely be a returning client.”

“So happy we found Michele. She took Momo out on a walk multiple times a day and sent us plenty of pictures. For a picky dog like ours Michele really fit the bill. Would 100% recommend.”

“Carla was awesome! I had a last-minute and unexpected opportunity to take my girlfriend and her grandson away for an overnight trip and didn't have a plan for the pups. Carla came through with a same-day booking request and the dogs had a great time. She was very responsive, and based on how well the boys slept when they got home, they had a great time playing with her dog while there!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Flanders
Sabita has just been the best! I have used Rover before and had my cat boarded by another member. Sabita has proven to be way more communicative and given way more personalized care and attention to my little buddy. She sent multiple pictures, twice a day, showing him eatting, playing and relaxing: all with much content on his face. I was worried he may not want to come home. She followed all his medication and food instruction to the letter and made sure she showered him in attention. He had his own room and was treated like a true guest in her home. I highly advise using Sabita for all your cat boarding needs. She is also a lot more reasonably priced then some members on this app, without sacrificing the experience or service. I will definitely be reaching out for her services for my future needs!

Cant say Enough good things About Kim & Dean and their Family in taking care of our Dog Maizy!we like that they only take one dog at a time and are super accommodating and always communicate with you and update you about your dog! I would highly recommend to anyone! we will be using them again anytime we are out of town!

Justin was an absolute great sitter. My pups were so happy with him. My Yorkie totally loved him as he would often nap on his lap (photos where taken). Justin fed them well, took them in happy walks, and had one on one time with them. As mentioned before he would send pictures of them, whether it was with a silly hat or napping, it helped us be less worried for our pups. He is really sweet and I would definitely recommend his services.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
