âPumpkin loved his stay with Bydette and her family. They enjoyed him too. He got lots of walks, play time and cuddles. He even tried to walk back into their house when they handed me the leash!â

âLET ME TELL YOU⌠Kiara was such a delight and made sure our little meatball (dog) was well taken care of. She communicated often and sent photos of our dog often during his stay. She was such a pleasure and we will be using her as often as we are out of town! Thank you Kiara! And if youâre considering.. we highly recommend Kiara!â

âLinus stayed with Sue and her family for 12 days over the holidays & we couldn't have been happier with her care. She texted regularly and sent photos and it was clear that Linus was getting all the love and attention he would get from us. We're thrilled with Sue & will definitely use her again.â

âJennifer was so sweet and kind, we had been looking for a sitter for months and went with our instincts and saw her profile and instantly knew she would be the best choice. Our fur baby Sophie does not like many people, and with all the pictures and videos we received everyday we could easily see that she adjusted quickly. Her yard is big and fenced in which was a huge plus. Jennifer thank you so much for taking such great care of our little girl! Will definitely be booking again =)â

âKevin and his wife were great; able to take my 2 dogs at short notice . kept me advised how they were doing and flexible to work with my odd schedule. would recommend them to others.â

âJune and her family are amazing! They took such good care of my pup. Initially, I was a little cautious because my pup is a lil nervous around other dogs. After my pupâs stay - he was able to warm up to other dogs. June sent me frequent pics and updates throughout Ritzâs stay. I definitely felt comfortable and Iâm super grateful to her and her family. Thank you!!!â

âJacki is awesome! You can tell she loves what she does. My two chiweenies absolutely loved her and Andre! Theyâre very needy and have their quirks and Jacki accommodated them so well. Great updates provided that made me feel at ease while out of town. Appreciated her report cards, as well. Will be going back to Jacki again!â

About: I am patient and will let your dog sniff around all they want. I am caring and will ensure the path your dog is walking on is safe for their paws. And I am energetic, leaving your dog tired when they come home. I will care for your dog by keeping them on a leash and bringing water for when they get thirsty. With your cat, I will first let them sniff me and warm up to me. Theyâll soon cuddle up to me. I am available most days before 9am, at lunchtime (between 12pm and 2pm) and after 5pm. For house visits, I am able to stay either all day or all night and pop during the day for mealtimes/potty breaks. While in your home, I am mindful of your space and will follow your instructions. For boarding visits, I live near a park and can take your pet out 3-4 times a day. Unfortunately while I understand everyoneâs needs/customs are different, I do no accept dogs that either use an indoor doggy potty or are not house trained.
âYanni took very good care of my girl! She was very communicative and always sent me photos which put me at ease, especially because my dog appeared to be happy or relaxed in every photo. I would certainly rebook again, Yanni was very trustworthy!â

âAccommodated with short notice. Encouraged a meet and greet, even came to us due to our schedule. Immediately felt at ease leaving Fletcher for the day. He looked happy in the photos sent.â

About: I absolutely love caring for dogs, and Iâve been a Rover sitter for over a year now. I have a Rottweiler and a Pomeranian who are the best of friends, and we enjoy our twice-daily walks together. Iâve grown up with Rottweilers, so I know exactly how to handle big & small dogs âespecially when theyâre feeling anxious or need some extra TLC. I work from home 3-4 times a week and always available on weekends, so Iâm always around to keep your pet company and give them the attention they deserve. Whether itâs a long walk, some playtime, or just a cozy cuddle, Iâm here to make sure your dog feels loved and cared for, just like my own. I work from home 3-4 days a week, so Iâm always available to give your pet the attention they need. My own dogs get two daily walks, and I make time for play and snuggles in between. Whether itâs a walk or some quality time, Iâm here to ensure your pet feels loved and cared for all day. I make sure your pet feels right at home, whether theyâre here with me or in your home. My place is pet-friendly, with plenty of space for play and relaxation. I keep a close eye on them, ensuring theyâre safe and comfortable. At your home, I stick to your petâs routine and follow any special instructions to keep them feeling secure and loved.
âDavid was amazing in taking care of our pup while we were gone. He was very flexible and communicative throughout the process. He was consistently giving updates which was was very calming as this was my first time being away from my pup. Would highly recommend David and will definitely be using his services again!â

âGisselle and her family are the perfect family for our dogs to stay with while away from home!! They are loving, patient, attentive and absolutely spoiled our two Shetland Sheepdogs!! Gisselle sent photos as well as updates throughout the days we were away. The images showed my two pups comfortable, happy and having a blast playing the day away!! I could not be more grateful for her care in every way. Gisselle is my âgo to familyâ now for all our dog care needs. She is the absolute best!!â

âKamini, her family, and Pia are fantastic. Our dog stayed overnight and I received frequent updates (the right amount), lots of pictures, and great communication!! Even with this being the first time he stayed with them, I was comfortable and confident he was being treated as their own. He got along great with Pia, and we would definitely use Kamini again in the future. Highly recommend. 5 stars!â

âCherie and her family took great care of our furry baby. .they provided a nice safe place for him while away from home. He looked very happy when I picked him up. I appreciate all the pictures and feedback I was getting during his stay. Looking forward to see you soon. Thank you ( special thanks to your adorable son for being so sweet and playing with Apollo )â

âWe recently had the pleasure of having Nicolas care for our beloved dog, Mazzie, and we couldnât be happier with the experience! From start to finish, it was clear that our pup was in great hands. Mazzie went on long walks, had incredible play time with their dog Sinatra, and we received tons of wonderful pictures, making our time away. It was evident that they were genuinely passionate about animals, and Mazzie was instantly comfortable, which gave us such peace of mind. Overall, we couldnât recommend this pet sitter highly enough. They treated Mazzie as if she were their own, and we will definitely be using them again in the future. If youâre looking for reliable, compassionate, and attentive care for your furry family member, look no further!â

Mylene was awesome with our dog! She kept us updated with lots of pictures, which made us feel so much better while we were away. It was obvious our dog was happy and well taken care of. Weâd definitely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great sitter!

Samantha was AMAZING! I was in a time crunch to find someone to watch my dog, who is a diabetic. I found Samantha who communicated with me excellently, and she asked all the necessary questions to support my dog! She was able to give him his insulin injections with no problems! She sent me videos and pictures the entire time I was away, and sent me updates! As this was my first time ever using Rover I would read my experience with Samantha 100000/10! She was a star âď¸!

Rocky has stayed with Mikayla before and so we were happy she was available over the holidays. She sent us regular updates, pictures and videos and when Rocky fell sick, kept us informed and took him to our vet so that he was taken care of- I cannot express how appreciative we are - she took care of him as if he were her own.

David was amazing in taking care of our pup while we were gone. He was very flexible and communicative throughout the process. He was consistently giving updates which was was very calming as this was my first time being away from my pup. Would highly recommend David and will definitely be using his services again!

Raj and Ken were very caring and thoughtful. They kept me informed about how my cat was adjusting to new surroundings, and what she was doing. Iâm so pleased with Raj and Ken and will definitely contact them the next time I plan on going away, as well as recommend them. My cat was very well taken care of, and I totally trust and will rely on them again, even though it might not be until next summer!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dogâs vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitterâs care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, youâre adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Roverâs reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
