About: I’ve been caring for my own animals since childhood and grew up with big dogs. Today I share my life with an 80-pound hound mix and a Velcro cat. I’m naturally empathetic, reliable, and genuinely happiest when caring for animals. Your pets will always have my full attention, and I make it a priority to ensure they feel safe, loved, and understood. I’m comfortable caring for pets of all ages, including energetic puppies and gentle seniors. I adapt easily to different personalities and routines, whether that means patience, structure, or extra affection. Got a dog who pulls on the leash? I’ve got you. Got a cat who needs a little extra love and reassurance? I’ve got that covered too. I’m here for all your needs. I do work a typical 8-4 job with other hobbies of mine. But I’m open on weekends and nights! Weekends are pretty open both Saturday and Sunday. Nights I’m available for walks and drop ins after 5pm! I have a fenced in yard. However I am going to prefer to come to your house. My dog is a queen and would rather me not bring home dogs. Lol.
About: My family and I have been taking care of dogs on and off for 15 years. Our dog has had two litters totaling 23 (Creampuff Labradoodle is the breeder) which we have hosted in our home as they grew up. They now live with their forever homes. We love nature, being outdoors, and all things animal related! We host play dates at our home often and our pup enjoys the company. Things to note: we are a busy household and have three children. We are in and out throughout the day but never for long periods of time when watching pups. Visiting dogs must be comfortable around my dog and children. I will always do a meet and greet before taking a dog in. Must know basic training skills and be clean upon arrival, and be house trained. Things to bring for day care/boarding: Bed, water and food bowls, crate. If a crate is not an option then we can use our gated corral. They are able to have free rein over house, I am fine with that but as a safety precaution or for use when we leave I prefer to have an option to contain the pups. I have toys, towels, and treats. If any signs of aggression are shown or excessive behaviors I will ask if I can gently train your dog with a sound device. I have used this on my own dog and it works great as a non invasive tool if unpredictable circumstances arise. Our back yard is fenced and we take extra care at our front door and can block the foyer with an extra gate for safety. I own a photography business so I make my own schedule. If I am away from the house, it is not for long at all and I do all my editing from my home office. I am flexible and accommodating to various needs. I have a fully fenced back yard. We have a gate for leaving uncreated dogs in if we run out for a bit. It can block off the foyer area or be set up by the deck door for views of the yard.
“Alondra took wonderful care of my two dogs and bunny while we were away. She was always punctual with her check-ins, made sure the dogs got outside to use the bathroom each visit, and kept us updated along the way. It was clear that all of our pets loved her and were comfortable in her care. We had complete peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. I would absolutely book Alondra again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!”

“Emily did a fantastic job dropping in for my cat Mika while I was away. She made sure to send me daily updates and pictures with how Mika was doing. Mika is typically hides while visitors are in the house, but over they days she warmed up to Emily and gladly accepted treats. I will most certainly use Emily again to watch over Mika.”

“Jaylene did a fabulous job. She took her time with my dog especially cause my dogs a little chicken. She had no problems taking her outside and was even able to out her sweatshirt on her. She kept me updated and I was very impressed highly recommend.”

“would like to sincerely thank Kathryn for the wonderful care she has given to Rocky Duke and for overseeing Blair. She is a genuinely caring, trustworthy, and dependable person who always goes above and beyond. Knowing they were in her care gave me complete peace of mind. I highly recommend Kathryn to anyone looking for someone compassionate, reliable, and dedicated. Thank you, Kathryn, for everything you did for my babies.”

About: I’m a reliable and caring college student who genuinely enjoys being around animals. I’ve had my two cats for the past two years, so I’m used to feeding them, cleaning litter boxes, playing with them, and making sure they’re happy and comfortable every day. I’ve also helped friends care for their dogs by feeding them, taking them on walks, playing with them, and keeping them company while they were away. Outside of pet care, I’ve worked as a private caregiver and in customer service, which has taught me how to be responsible, patient, and dependable. I know how important it is to trust someone with a loved one, whether it’s a person or a pet, and I’ll always treat your pets with the same care and attention I’d want for my own. I’m currently a college student and work part time so I make sure to plan my schedule around the pets I’m caring for. I’m available on many weekdays and weekends and will always make time to give your pet the attention, exercise and care they deserve. I’ll keep you updated while you’re away so you know your pet is in good hands. I know every pet has their own routine, and I always do my best to stick to it. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home or stopping by for visits, I’ll follow your instructions carefully and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I’ve cared for my own two cats for the past two years and have also helped friends care for their dogs through feeding, walks, playtime, and companionship. My experience as a private caregiver has taught me to be patient, dependable, respectful of other people’s homes, and attentive to small details, so you can feel confident that your pet will be treated like one of my own.

I’ve always loved dogs, growing up my dad raised all breeds of dogs (Havanese, Pitbull, Cocker spaniel..) caring for them throughout the years has taught me so much ! Thankfully as an RN, I have a flexible work schedule. Making it easy to add something I have always wanted to do in my spare time, DOGWALK! Please note my family is very dog friendly, but it will be just me walking and caring for pups 💛 We have Freddy our Beagle who is 2years Old and FULL OF ENERGY!! 🐶 He has taught me soo much, especially how some dogs get distracted so quickly. With me as a dogwalker, Safety is Always First!
“Mike immediately was one of Freddy’s favorite humans. He had a natural positive energy when he met Freddy for the first time and it’s still like that. He’s communicative and shows up on time. It’s great to have someone reliable to take care of our furry family member while we’re working.”

About: I’ve grown up with Beagles and work well with all breeds and ages. I strongly believe that every dog deserves a day out on the town (or maybe just a walk around it). I’m free most weekends and various times during the day. I can do early mornings or late nights, happy to spend time with any dog throughout the day. I knock and ring the doorbell always first, just so the dogs know I’m coming (if they don’t already), walk in, greet everyone and wish the dogs a good morning, feed and water them, then let them have their breakfast and take them on a walk afterwards, always making sure to clean up after them when I first get there and definitely before I leave.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Flanders
Emily was absolutely amazing. We had a very unusual situation where we lost power the night before leaving for vacation, which meant we could not leave Tucker at home as planned. Emily was incredibly understanding and stayed available in case the power came back on and we were able to leave. When the power was finally restored, she refunded us for the days she did not need to come, even though she did not have to. We had specifically asked her to remain available during that time, so we truly appreciated her honesty, flexibility, and understanding. Once we were able to leave for our vacation, Emily was wonderful with Tucker. She took him on really nice, long walks, communicated with us consistently, and did everything she could to accommodate our situation. You can often tell what someone is really like when nobody is around. We have cameras inside our home, and while I was not sitting there watching every moment, I would occasionally check in to make sure everything was going well. Every time I checked, Emily was incredibly sweet, patient, and attentive with Tucker. You can absolutely tell that Emily is a true dog person. She treats the dogs she watches like they are her own, and that gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. We would not hesitate to book her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone dependable, honest, caring, and genuinely great with dogs.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
