About: Since I was a freshman in highschool I have been trusted with taking care of many of my neighbors pets. Small dogs, medium dogs, big dogs, I love them all! From ages 5-16 I had a boxer dog who was the light of my life! Since then I nourish my love for dogs and animals through volunteering at OSCAR in my spare time and caring for pets in the communities near me. I currently will soon start working part-time at a country club however schedules vary week to week but consist of 3 day work weeks with shifts from 10-3 or 3-9. Any days apart from days I am working, I am free whenever! I have a 2 story house with a large fenced backyard and no pets. I live in a friendly neighborhood with parks nearby! I am very cautious, careful, and responsible so a dogs safety is a big priority of mine.
“Tracey did such a great job taking care of my maltipoo.I was very nervous, having someone outside of a family member watch him.She was patient, kept me updated with photos. She put me at ease that he would be fine. I would recommend her!”

“Karina is amazing as a pet sitter. She took beautiful care of Honey and embraced him as her own. She provided everyday updates , took him for walks and really made Honey comfortable. Also, she ensured Honey came to us smelling good and clean. She gifted him few treats as well. I highly recommend Karina for her warmth , kindness and pet care.”

“Stan and Barbara took such great care of our dog for the week. They shared daily updates and pictures which we really enjoyed. We will definitely contact them again when we need a dog sitter. Happy to have found them using Rover!”

About: I’ve cared for dogs and cats through personal and family experience, providing daily feeding, walks, playtime, and companionship. I’m very attentive to routines, hygiene, and safety, and I always make sure pets feel calm and comfortable in their own home. I’m patient, observant, and respectful of each pet’s unique personality. I treat every pet as if they were my own and keep owners updated for peace of mind. I currently have a flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time to pet care throughout the day. I can easily adapt to each pet’s routine, including feeding times, walks, playtime, and quiet rest periods. I’m reliable, punctual, and always prioritize consistency to help pets feel comfortable and secure. I take safety and trust very seriously and always follow the pet owner’s instructions carefully. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I make sure the environment stays clean, calm, and secure. I pay close attention to behavior, routines, and any changes in mood or appetite, and I communicate regularly with updates for peace of mind.
“Kim and Dean are absolutely amazing! They were in contact with us everyday giving us an update on our dog / sending pictures which was wonderful because we hate leaving our pup. We knew our dog was in great hands and will be using Kim and Dean again in the future!”

About: I am excited to start dog sitting again. My dream is to one day open a beautiful, clean and warm dog kennel for dogs of all breeds and sizes. I previously owned a dog walking business called Mrs. C’s Dog Walking. Mrs. C’s was a small business that I owned for approximately 3 years and I loved it. I also dog-sat during college. While the owner was away on business trips, I would stop by multiple times a day to let her 2 dogs out, feed them and play. For the 2nd family, I would stop by during the day to walk her dog while she was at work, and I would take care of him when she went on long trips. I am a mother to 2 amazing daughters, 1 dog and 2 cats. My husband and I moved our family back to New Jersey in July of 2019. Please think of me if you are planning a trip and need care for your fur baby, I would love to help! I currently work part time from home. My schedule will allow me to provide your fur baby with 4 - 30 minute outdoor play sessions or walks, or a combination of both. I have a fenced in yard and also live in a beautiful neighborhood to take walks around. Your fur baby will be in a 6x6 run in my office.
“Paul was great looking after Nellie over thanksgiving! Sent a bunch of photos throughout the week of her with his family and gave updates throughout her stay. Nellie can be a bit shy initially and Paul gave her the time and patience to come out of her shell and fell more comfortable with his family. Will definetly use Paul again!”

“Deb is amazing! My normally shy lab Luna was instantly drawn to her and her dog! The day we dropped her she went running off and didn’t look back!! Honestly that’s what I was hoping for! I knew she was happy and in good hands all weekend and Deb sent us lots of pics during her stay. They went for walks, went in the pool and had a blast playing. Luna had her own little vacation while we did! I highly recommend Deb! Your dog will love her and so will you!!”

“Lisa is amazing! She did a great job keeping us updated with pics & videos. Our dog has never looked this happy when we’ve gone away. She kept her active with walks & playtime with her pup. Highly recommend!”

“Erinn was great! She was very quick to respond to all my messages and updated me every day with how things were going with Mochi. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter.”

“Jaki has been incredible with our 2 high energy dogs! She is patient beyond compare and the dogs truly seem to love their time there. We left our dogs with Jaki for a week and picked up two very happy, exhausted dogs. Thanks, Jaki!”

“Kiara was absolutely great. Very professional and kind we felt Cartman was in the best of hands. She kept us informed and sent plenty of photos throughout his stay. Highly recommend! Phil”

“Michele was great with Tito! She gave plenty of updates and photos. It was our first time using Rover in a long time, and Michele made it easy. 10/10 would definitely recommend her for any dog sitting needs!”

“Elia was the perfect match for my dog Mya. From her communication, personality, kindness, and overall love for my dog. I felt in good hands. Will be using her again. She is a blessing and highly recommend to anyone.”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better experience for our dog Luna! She had an extremely good time with the Jenny’s wonderful family. From the moment we dropped her off, it was clear she was in loving and capable hands. Their dog Casper was the perfect companion—gentle, playful, and welcoming. Luna absolutely adored spending time with him, and they quickly became best buddies. It was heartwarming to see how naturally Luna fit into their home. The updates we received were reassuring and full of joy, and it was obvious that Luna was not just being looked after—she was being loved. We’re so grateful for the care, kindness, and fun they provided. Highly recommend Jenny to anyone looking for a safe and happy place for their furry family member!”

“Samantha was incredible with our dog. Samantha agreed to care for our dog at the last minute, which we are incredibly grateful for. Poor pup was diagnosed with a UTI so Samantha administered medications to her and made sure she got out often to pee. Fantastic attention to our dog and great communication, highly recommend Samantha’s services!!”

“Steven is an exceptional dog sitter! He and his wife took care of my Dito, with love, kindness, and professionalism. His communication was top-notch, and he kept me updated on Dito's adventures. Dito was happy, healthy, and well-cared for, and that's all thanks to Steven's dedication. He's trustworthy, reliable, and truly a dog lover. If you need a dog sitter who will treat your pet like family, look no further than Steven. 5 stars and a big paws up from Dito.”

“Shaun and his family take great care of our pup Skye, who always comes home happy and tired. I feel extremely confident that Skye is treated as a part of their family.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Budd Lake
Sabita has just been the best! I have used Rover before and had my cat boarded by another member. Sabita has proven to be way more communicative and given way more personalized care and attention to my little buddy. She sent multiple pictures, twice a day, showing him eatting, playing and relaxing: all with much content on his face. I was worried he may not want to come home. She followed all his medication and food instruction to the letter and made sure she showered him in attention. He had his own room and was treated like a true guest in her home. I highly advise using Sabita for all your cat boarding needs. She is also a lot more reasonably priced then some members on this app, without sacrificing the experience or service. I will definitely be reaching out for her services for my future needs!

Cant say Enough good things About Kim & Dean and their Family in taking care of our Dog Maizy!we like that they only take one dog at a time and are super accommodating and always communicate with you and update you about your dog! I would highly recommend to anyone! we will be using them again anytime we are out of town!

Jaylene is a wonderful and kind petsitter! She comes over to check on our two cats and has created a bond with both of them, despite them being shy sometimes. We have a Great Pyrenees mix that she boards in her home and we can tell he has a great time! Jaylene is always flexible, communicative, and super helpful. Thanks again, Jaylene!

My little 14 month old Shih-Poo, Buddy, is my family! With me, he pretty much has free reign and lots of love and attention. Through a chain of events, I was panicking about finding someone who would be able to watch him while I needed to be away. On Rover, it was a relief to read about Christina and Gregory who have 3 kids, pets are allowed on furniture and 18 years experience with dogs! They welcomed him with open arms, sent me pictures, and kept me updated on how things were going. I feel like I found a second home for Buddy. It was a wonderful experience for everyone. I highly recommend them!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
