“Lisa is amazing! She did a great job keeping us updated with pics & videos. Our dog has never looked this happy when we’ve gone away. She kept her active with walks & playtime with her pup. Highly recommend!”

“Susan was great with our senior dog! We loved getting the daily updates and could tell our pup received excellent care and his routine was very similar to the one he keeps at our home. Would recommend Susan in a heartbeat!”

“Let me start by saying, Nina is amazing. From first contact on Rover, to me just picking up my pup, it was professional and seamless. Stayed in contact with me consistently and made me feel extremely comfortable. She was also very thorough and asking me any pertinent information about my dog that could be important. Now we can talk about the actual visit. She has an amazing yard fenced in with all the amenities a pet would ever need. Her personal interaction with my dog was as if it was her own. You can tell she loves what she does. The end result, I think my dog came home happier than when I left him. Lol. All kidding aside, I would recommend Nina to the entire Rover community. If you’re ever in the tri-state area, and you need a pet babysitter, look no further than Nina. Trust me you won’t be disappointed. I will definitely use them again. 👍👍👍”

“Kyle and his family provided a wonderful and safe environment for our dog Max. We were very pleased with how he was treated and he loved roaming around their big yard. Kyle even sent me pictures and updates of our dog periodically. I would definitely use his services again for Max and highly recommend him to other dog owners who want TLC for their pet and peace of mind when they are away.”

“Tammie came through for Me and Bean at the last minute. Her daughters and her accommodated Bean all the while he was there. Tammie is very friendly and personable. I know Bean us in good hands with her and her family. She kept me updated and responded quickly. She sent me pictures of my happy fellow. I couldn't be more pleased with her services.”

About: We offer loving and compassionate dog boarding or drop-ins and cat drop-ins. Dog boarding is at our home with a large, fenced-in yard and plenty of room to play and roam around. We never take more than one dog guest at a time and take extra special care of your pet while you are gone, including walks and cuddles. My husband and I have been taking care of dogs and cats a combined 30 years and have both had dogs since childhood. I lived with dogs (2 Jack Russel Terriers and a black Lab) for over 20 years and have had my own cats for the past 10 years. I know how to walk, bathe and feed. BONUS THAT REALLY SETS ME APART FROM OTHERS 😅: I am a pet intuitive and add Reiki for pets into my services if it's wanted. I am a stay-at-home mom and can care for your pets in the morning and at night 7 days a week. I am also able to do small drop-in visisg throughout the day as needed. Currently, I can only care for your pets in your home. We have play and snuggle time depending on what your pet needs, feed and clean litter boxes.
“Michele was great with Tito! She gave plenty of updates and photos. It was our first time using Rover in a long time, and Michele made it easy. 10/10 would definitely recommend her for any dog sitting needs!”

“Sujanna was WONDERFUL! She took thoughtful care of our Toby and went above and beyond. Toby got lots of love and attention the entire time he was there. Toby will definitely be back. We highly recommend Sujanna!!!”
“It is always hard leaving your beloved pet in a new place with people he doesn’t know. Joe and Joann were so warm and welcoming to both us and to our Rudy. They have a great fenced in yard that allowed for lots of interesting sniffs, and a loving home. Rudy is so very shy, so I’m sure he was a bit sad at his first overnight, but I know he’ll warm up to his new “spot” very quickly. We got lots of photos and encouraging comments during his stay. That helps a lot! We will definitely be back.”
“Scott continues to do an amazing job as a dog sitter for our dog Odysseus. Our dog has surgery and he is more anxious now. I was nervous about him staying someplace overnight again but we trust Scott and again he did not disappoint. He is so caring about animals in general. Shows so much compassion and love. Honestly, if you need a sitter or care in the area for your pets Scott is it! Thank you so much Scott!”

About: We are a loving and lively household where we will snuggle and play fetch with your pup, take them to the dog park, and keep them happy and occupied. My husband and I have a very active goldendoodle, Bell, who is 9 years old. Neither of us remember a time when there wasn't a dog in the house growing up! We know that we are taking on no small task when we agree to be responsible for your furry friend. We will follow your instructions to a T and we realize that every doggo is their own unique individual with their own unique needs. We are pros when it comes to high-energy dogs with a mind of their own! I am a full-time parent of three and we have a dog of our own whom we are home with all day. Staying active with our doodle is an integral part of our daily routine and we would love to have even more walks, games of fetch, and tricks + treats to look forward to! We LOVE to love on your pet! In our home you can expect a minimum of two 20-minute walks a day, plus more upon request and some leash time in our back yard if they like to hang out and observe the world. We are big proponents of fetch and chase.

“I can’t say enough good things about Debra. Cooper stayed 4 days. He was a very happy camper, playing in the yard with other dogs, going for walks and just hanging out as if he were at home. Deb sent lots of pictures, and Cooper looked just like one of the family. I was afraid he would’t want to come back home, but he was glad to see us. I would recommend Deb to any of my friends and family who need someone who they can trust with their furry loved ones. Thanks for everything Deb!”

“Left my dog with Carla for 4 days and I can't complain. My dog was fine even though it's very shy and scared of other people. I would leave my dog with Carla again if I need to.”

“Gail did a great job with Raven. We usually are worried about whether Raven will adjust to a new sitter, but Gail quickly sent us pictures and a note letting us know how quickly she bonded with Raven and how calm she had become.”

“Jillian and her family were great. It started with a welcoming meet and greet, followed by over a week long visit of kindness and care for our Marley. Pictures and videos were sent which gave us joy seeing him. Our Marley seamed very happy. It was like home away from home. Thank you to Jillian and her family! I will definitely use them again to care for our Marley.”

“Mylene was wonderful with our puppy! She sent frequent updates and adorable pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind knowing our little guy was in great hands. We felt completely comfortable and reassured throughout the entire experience. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter, and we’ll definitely be using her again!”

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
