“We recently had the pleasure of having Nicolas care for our beloved dog, Mazzie, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience! From start to finish, it was clear that our pup was in great hands. Mazzie went on long walks, had incredible play time with their dog Sinatra, and we received tons of wonderful pictures, making our time away. It was evident that they were genuinely passionate about animals, and Mazzie was instantly comfortable, which gave us such peace of mind. Overall, we couldn’t recommend this pet sitter highly enough. They treated Mazzie as if she were their own, and we will definitely be using them again in the future. If you’re looking for reliable, compassionate, and attentive care for your furry family member, look no further!”

“Aleja is amazing with my Milo!! She updates me with pictures each day and I can always tell he is being taken care of very well. Milo has a lot of energy and every time I pick him up he sleeps for HOURS!! That’s how I know Aleja keeps him active and engaged! I always book with Aleja when in the area!”

“I had an amazing experience with Alaine as my dog sitter. She was highly responsive, providing daily photos and a detailed "report card" summarizing Brizo's activities and well-being during the four-night stay. Alaine took exceptional care of Brizo, and her own dog, Pasta, was a wonderful host too. I highly recommend Alaine for her attentiveness, communication, and genuine love for animals. Brizo can't wait to visit again soon!”

“Hanelle has to be the nicest person but on top of that the best person to trust your pet with. She went above and beyond special care for our little Ginger and spoiled her with homemade biscuits on top of all the love she gave her. She exercised her regularly and listened to any additional information we gave her! Certainly recommend her and will be using her again”

“This was our trial run overnight stay for a longer stay we have coming up. Chris lives in a lovely area with a nice little fenced yard for the dogs to play and do their business. He has a cute smaller female mixed breed of his own. Our Finley over other dogs and had good playtime with her. I like that Chris only takes one doggie client at a time so that I know Finley will get the attention and care that he needs. Based on our successful overnight I am going to book Chris for our long trip. I don’t like making recommendations after only one overnight but I am confident that I will be doing just that after his next stay.”

“Carol and her family took exceptional care of our little guy Max. They loved him as if he was part of their own family. We were able to enjoy our vacation and not worry about Max knowing he was in their loving hands. Carol will be our first call anytime we need someone to watch him!”
“Karma loved her stay and I feel it is her little vacation too. Know she is taken care of and spoiled. Always love seeing the pictures of her enjoying herself and updates daily.”

“Trista has been incredibly helpful and flexible, she was helpful when I had a last minute need and was very understanding and open. She makes the stays easy and my dog was very happy staying with her.”

“Our dogs were very well while staying at Vivian and Katia’s house. They followed all the instructions related to food, walks, etc and we received plenty of pictures during the days we were gone. Katia was very kind and sweet with the dogs and they look happy and resting calmly all the time.”

“Monica was a great person very caring very reliable with my kitten. I appreciated how she updated me with pictures and also helpful with ideas to take care of my kitten. I highly recommend her and family!”

“Yanni took very good care of my girl! She was very communicative and always sent me photos which put me at ease, especially because my dog appeared to be happy or relaxed in every photo. I would certainly rebook again, Yanni was very trustworthy!”

“Gisselle and her family are the perfect family for our dogs to stay with while away from home!! They are loving, patient, attentive and absolutely spoiled our two Shetland Sheepdogs!! Gisselle sent photos as well as updates throughout the days we were away. The images showed my two pups comfortable, happy and having a blast playing the day away!! I could not be more grateful for her care in every way. Gisselle is my “go to family” now for all our dog care needs. She is the absolute best!!”

“Christina was AMAZING! Our dog Rhodey had such a great time and she took care of him very well. We had boarded him for 5 days and he got so much love & cuddles during that time. She was a pleasure to communicate with, always responding quickly and providing details when needed. She even sent him home with a little gift! She's so sweet and kind, I would highly recommend her for any pet related service!! Was a true pleasure and will definitely hire her again :)”

“Sujanna was WONDERFUL! She took thoughtful care of our Toby and went above and beyond. Toby got lots of love and attention the entire time he was there. Toby will definitely be back. We highly recommend Sujanna!!!”
“Shaun is wonderful with our 5 year old golden. He takes such good care of her, lots of walks, attention, and play, as well as sends us frequent update and photos! Thank you!”

“Karina was an absolute gem! She gave me prompt and thorough updates about my puppy, and was so thoughtful and attentive throughout. She’s truly the perfect pet sitter! Thank you, Karina, we’ll definitely be back!”

Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
