About: I’ve cared for dogs and cats of all kinds for 7+ years, including seniors, giant breeds (two Great Danes who were such sweethearts) and pets with medications or injections. I’m trained in dog first aid and CPR and I have a background in positive reinforcement obedience from training my own dog through his canine good citizen certification. After five years in Colorado, I’m happy to be back home in New Jersey. I previously worked in customer success and medical tech so being organized, communicative, and dependable comes naturally to me. My schedule is currently flexible with weekday and weekend availability for house sitting, walks, and drop ins. For house sitting I follow your pet’s normal meals, walks, medications, and bedtime routine as close as possible. I take safety seriously without making things stressful. I’m pet first aid and CPR trained, follow instructions carefully, and always double check doors & gates. My dog is well cared for at home while I’m away so your pets get my full attention. About: Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life, including a Black Lab, Miniature Pinscher, Rottweiler, and German Shepherd. Being around such different breeds has taught me that every dog has their own personality, energy level, quirks, and way of showing you what they need. I also have hands-on experience caring for dogs in my family. I regularly help care for my sister’s two dogs—a 1-year-old Corgi and a 13-year-old English Bulldog. About: My friends and family call me Tom Care-a-lot, Tom the Mom, and The Dog Whisperer. I have worked at East Memphis Pet Hospital & Resort as a Daycare and Kennel worker, and occasionally perform Vet Tech duties such as administering medication, which has taught me a lot about caring for multiple dogs and adapting to each dogs' individual needs. To be responsible for another life sometimes means that you have to be flexible, I understand if something comes up last minute, it happens; I will be as flexible as you and your dogs' needs. Your dog will be in good-hearted, caring hands while you are doing what you need to do. Your dogs and their home will be safe, you can leave it to me. I will respond to booking requests with 12-24 hours if not immediately. If something doesn’t work in my schedule I will let you know ahead of time unless there is an emergency. I work Freelance from home (remote), so my hours are flexible. I have obligations with other people and clients but I will make any booking done through the app, if they are accepted and scheduled. Failure to contact about a booking before service will result in a cancellation and YOU will be charged a cancellation fee and will take all responsibility for your pet(s). I treat them with respect, I will not hit or discipline them physically, if you instruct me to do so I will decline and cancel the stay or appointment. I do not tolerate abuse or neglect. I will clean up if they have an accident and my motto is to “leave the house roughly in the same state you came/found it in”. I will use your amenities like washer/dryer/sink/shower/dishwasher if I am staying multiple days or overnight. I will do my best to clean up after myself but I cannot conform to all expectations of perfection. Make sure there are no illegal drugs or weapons in the residence (weapons must be away and sealed in a secure location, if any are in the residence) failure to comply with this will result in an immediate cancellation and it will be on YOU.
