About: I have been around dogs for most of my life, having owned two dogs from ages 6-20, and I have since gained hands-on experience caring for pets with a wide range of personalities, ages and needs. I’ve pet sat for both cats and dogs, including caring for four cats and two dogs at once, managing litter boxes, wet and dry food routines, playtime and plenty of attention and affection. I also have experience administering oral medications and eye drops to dogs. One experience especially that sets me apart is caring for a Catahoula Leopard dog who was paralyzed in her hind legs, which involved expressing her bladder and assisting with her mobility alongside caring for another dog in the home. I’m comfortable with puppies as well, having provided drop-in care for a golden retriever at both 3 months and 6 months old, as well as extended dog and house sitting for a 2-year old golden retriever. Across my pet-sitting experience, I’ve provided regular walks, baths, light grooming, feeding, playtime and lots of one-on-one attention. My current schedule is very flexible, as I am studying full-time for the MCAT and create my own study schedule each week. About: My journey with dogs began with Sparkle, a rescue I raised from eight weeks old. For 14 wonderful years, she was my best friend. In her later years, she navigated life with a disability and absolutely rocked a pink wheelchair. Losing her in 2018 didn't diminish the love she left behind. It redirected it outward, straight toward every dog I've met since. I’ve since adopted Harvey, a rescue Pittie with a backstory that’ll make you cry and a personality that’ll make you laugh. He was found as a critically starving stray in Texas, brought to a high-kill shelter in NYC, and pulled from a euthanasia list just in the nick of time. Harvey has since blossomed into the happiest, goofiest, most brisket-shaped dog you'll ever meet. His favorite hobbies are couch hogging and unhinged zoomies. Rehabilitating him deepened my understanding of canine anxiety, trauma recovery, and the kind of steady, patient love it takes to help a dog truly feel safe. That experience, combined with years of hands-on care for dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments, is what I bring to every visit. I've worked with elderly and special needs dogs, as well as dogs managing anxiety, hyperactivity, and behavioral challenges, across a wide range of breeds from Pitbulls and Chihuahuas to St. Bernards and Corgis. I'm currently working toward board certification in canine massage therapy through my forthcoming practice. Your pet is family. I'll treat them like it… and probably talk to them in a silly voice the whole time. My schedule revolves around animals, and I wouldn’t have it any other way! About: Throughout my life, I’ve had multiple animals. My uncle had a dog name Kane, I cared for on the weekends as a kid. Then my two shih tzu, milo and meko that were passed from my grandmother when she could no longer care for them. I also adopted a calico from the streets named Iris when I was in my junior year of high school, who turned out to be pregnant and I am now blessed to have her, Along with Oreo and waffles. Each animal has a specific feeding schedule, medication, and walking schedule( ironically the cats as well, but that’s if they let me). I’m also attending college to now become a veterinarian or just work along side animals in some way, so I use this and the training I already have to give me that sort of boost. It’s not a problem at all, as I mentioned I have a house full of animals, so when you love them like family, there no burden at all. Anytime at all is fine, as love as I’m aware because I also have school and work. I go over the basics of the animals age, diet, any special medication, or any exercises and needs the animal is currently going through. I’ve dealt with cats who’ve need to take crushed pills twice a day, along with a dog who was only fed raw so they needed a special diet and their supplements.
