“If I could give Kristen ten million stars, I would. She helped with an international pet rescue, picked up a cat I had never met at JFK and cared for him for 4 days before I could make it across the state to pick him up. She is literally a life saver. We could not have followed through with the rescue without her help! She was so attentive to his needs and sent pictures every day. I would recommend her to everybody.”

“Michele was absolutely amazing with my dog! From the start, she was communicative, attentive, and genuinely caring. She kept me updated the entire time with messages and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. Her kids were completely in love with Arepa, and it was clear he felt comfortable, happy, and so well cared for. Michele truly treated him like her own. I would 100% trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and loving sitter. Thank you so much, Michele!”

“We needed to book a boarding at the last minute, and Janine was able to accommodate. She took great care of my dog and communicated often during his stay with photos and updates. He loved running aroun in her backyard and the companionship that her two dogs offered as well. I would recommend her to any friends and family.”

“Alex took great care of my big pup for a few days. Great communication throughout and very attentive. I came home to find my dog very comfortable with Alex and happy. Will be a repeat customer!”

“We boarded our 3 year old Shih Tzu with Shushma & her family for 3days. Our Bria was at home as soon as she walked in the door & was greeted by Shushma & her Yorkie Poo Lily. Lily & Bria were instant BFFs. Shushma sent us pictures & videos so our trip was carefree - we knew our pup was in good hands. Bria got plenty of TLC. Val & Ed”

“We have been going to her for the last 3 years ever since we moved to Long island, and she has been nothing but professional, flexible, and reliable. I recommend her to as many people as I possibly can, and she has been like a family member to our dog! We highly recommend her”

“This was my first time booking with Vanessa, and it went great! We met beforehand so Maverick could get to know her and her home, which have me peace of mind. Maverick loved playing with Oreo and Moreno, and had access to the backyard all the time. Vanessa kept me updated with pictures and videos throughout his stay. I could tell he was happy and well cared for. I will definitely book with her again!”

“We had such a wonderful experience! Dior felt right at home from the moment she arrived and was so well cared for during her stay. We loved getting updates and could tell she was receiving lots of attention, love, and even some extra treats. Especially because Dior was in heat we were so happy she was comfortable. The thoughtful gift keychain was such a sweet surprise and really showed how much they care about both pets and their owners. We came home to a happy pup and couldn't ask for more. We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and attentive to watch their dog!”

“Brigette was fantastic. She’s super responsive, even for a last minute request, and was an absolute lifesaver for us. She was great with our dog and we’re looking forward to working with her in the future!!”

“If you are looking for the best dog sitter Pam is your perfect choice. She is loving, flexible and trusting. Our pooch has been to several sitters, I think he would agree that Pam was exceptional! She was welcoming, treated him as her own and spoiled him even more than we do at home. The daily updates were really appreciated. Definitely will use her again, I didn't have to worry while I was traveling.”

“I was so worried about leaving my 5 month old puppy but thankfully got a referral to use Khris. He was so great with her and kept me constantly updated as to how she acclimated. Lots of texts & videos to make me feel better and to see her! He also was very accommodating with my schedule changes and late night pick up. Will definitely use again!”

About: While I’m new to Rover, I’ve been around dogs for most of my life and have lived with and cared for plenty. Caring for them taught me the importance of patience, consistency, exercise, and paying attention to a dog’s individual needs and personality. What sets me apart is that I’ll treat every dog as if they were my own. I’m dependable, active, and genuinely enjoy spending time outdoors, so whether your dog prefers a leisurely stroll or a more energetic walk, I’ll make sure they get the attention, exercise, and care they deserve. I’ll also provide updates and photos so you can feel confident knowing your pet is in good hands. I’m excited to build lasting relationships with both pets and their owners by being reliable, communicative, and providing safe, loving care every time. I am flexible and available through out the day Mondays Fridays and Weekends as well as most week nights. Can always move things around if need be. I live in a large house in Long Beach New York, with plenty of room inside, as well as the beach to accommodate any dog.

“Narly is a fantastic dog sitter who I am so thankful I recently found on Rover! She cared for my dog, Millie, while I was away on a work trip and she did a wonderful job. Throughout my dog’s stay with her, she provided me daily updates that included numerous pictures and videos. I will absolutely be using Narly again and I’m confident my dog cannot wait to go back to her house soon! :)”

“My pug Charlie had another wonderful time with Abbie and Peachy. Charlie feels really safe with Abbie even though she is a little anxious and Peachy is a great friend that helps Charlie to stay active and socialized especially in this cold weather. Outstanding hosts!”

I used Janine for the first time, and she exceeded every expectation. I came home to a happy, well-cared-for dog, and I would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for an exceptional dog sitter.

Alex took great care of our puppy, Fintan! He was able to accommodate us at the last minute, took the time to find out where we were in our training with Fintan and what kind of issues we wanted to work on, sent us pictures and videos, and took the time to socialize our puppy. Would be happy to book with him again!
Susan was great - communicative, attentive, and incredibly responsible. While I was away, my dog unexpectedly got sick, and Susan handled everything with great care. It was definitely scary, but Susan never left Rio’s side and kept me updated the whole time. In the end, Rio luckily ended up being totally fine, and I was really grateful to have Susan there taking such good care of her.

Shushma and her family are amazing! She saved me during the last snow storm when the person meant to watch Haddie couldn’t get home due to flight cancellations and it was absolutely meant to be. She provided lots of updates and it was clear the family and their dogs had completely embraced Haddie as one of their own.

Trevor and his wife Sabrina did such an amazing job with our 4 month old puppy. She was very nervous being apart from us for the first time. Trevor and Sabrina were communicative throughout and helped her through her nerves. We would absolutely use them again and felt really lucky to have our puppy in such good hands.

First time using Rover and couldn’t have had an easier experience. Jamie was awesome and kept me updated and at ease the whole time. When I came to pick Parker up he didn’t want to leave and he’s nice and tired from all the exercise. Will definitely be using Jamie again!

This was the first time we left our 12 year old pooch with someone other than family. Nancy was great. She gave us updates and pictures while we were away which kept my daughter so happy. Our dog looked like she wanted to stay longer when we picked her up. Would book again without hesitation. Thank you for giving us peace of mind during our vacation!

Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
