“Nilka is a treasure. She is extremely loving to animals, showers them with attention and walks and very communicative, sending photos and updates. Boarding with Nilka is a vacation for your pooch. Highly recommended! I will use her every time she's available.”

“Kristen was wonderful! I had a two week vacation and my usual cat sitter had to cancel last minute. I was panicked because I needed someone I could trust since I have an elderly cat and another cat on medication that he needs daily. Kristen was able to accommodate a short notice booking and texted me everyday with updates and pictures. Because of her, I felt at ease when I was away because I knew they were being loved and in good hands. I highly recommend Kristen for boarding.”

“We have left our dog, Mahi, with Alex about 5x now. On our most recent visit Mahi was so excited he couldn’t wait to get out the car. Alex provides a safe environment with enrichment time for the dogs. Mahi comes back exhausted from all the playing in the yard. We will continue to use Alex for as long as he will have us!”

“Wendy and her family did a great job taking care of sparkle. I picked her up yesterday and I do believe sparkle is still looking for Wendy and family. We would definitely have you sit for sparkle again thank you.”

“We needed to book a boarding at the last minute, and Janine was able to accommodate. She took great care of my dog and communicated often during his stay with photos and updates. He loved running aroun in her backyard and the companionship that her two dogs offered as well. I would recommend her to any friends and family.”

“I couldn’t be any happier with the service Nachay provides. Not only did she take care of Jacob for the last 4 days, but the amount of updates made us feel even more secure with our decision to go with her. He was treated like family. Thank you Nachay for your professionalism and attention to detail. You rock!!!”

“Shushma and family took excellent care of our fur baby! This was our first experience using this service through Rover and they made us feel completely comfortable. She provided daily updates, pictures and videos which we appreciated. Clean and loving environment. Book her, you won’t be disappointed!”

“Brigette was fantastic. She’s super responsive, even for a last minute request, and was an absolute lifesaver for us. She was great with our dog and we’re looking forward to working with her in the future!!”

“Khris is incredible. He is an expert with dogs and has dedicated his life to caring for our furry little guys. This was my first overnight boarding for my puppy Kova. Khris knew exactly what to do and how to care for my pup while I was gone. My dog has a lot of needs, but Khris really made him comfortable and well cared for. I was able to enjoy my vacation with peace of mind knowing my doggy was well cared for. Can’t wait to book again!”

“Vanessa is a wonderful sitter. You will feel her warmth and care for your fur baby. Her place is safe and secured. Our Flynn had a great time with her and other dogs. She sends you updates, photos & videos. Thank you Venassa! Will definitely choose you again and again.”

“I am so glad to have found Xiaoying. She is excellent, experienced and knowledgeable. My dog was well cared for during his 6 day stay. We were updated daily with pics and videos of meal times, backyard activity and daily walking. She sure did treat my dog as her own and made her home, home for my Teddy. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much! 🩵🫶🏼”

“Pam does it again!!! Mugsy can be such an anxious little guy when away from our little family, but he waltzed right into Pam’s house knowing he was in good hands!!!! We received multiple updates throughout our extended trip which kept the kids (and me!) calm knowing he was in such a loved and welcomed home!!! Pam’s house has become Mugsys own little vacation as he gets spoiled with treats and playtime with all of his new doggy friends!!!! Thank you so much Pam!!!!”

“Cannot say enough great things about Sam and her family. You can truly tell they love animals and took care of my dog like he was their own. She kept me updated and send me pictures for the week I was away. My dog truly did not want to leave when I went to pick him up. I know he cannot wait to go back!”

“Miss Narly is an amazing fur mama! She took my lil Shiloh for 7days and never failed to send me updates with pictures everyday. Her house is so clean and amazing and have a huge fenced backyard. She is very professional. Loves dog truly! I will def come back.”

About: While I’m new to Rover, I’ve been around dogs for most of my life and have lived with and cared for plenty. Caring for them taught me the importance of patience, consistency, exercise, and paying attention to a dog’s individual needs and personality. What sets me apart is that I’ll treat every dog as if they were my own. I’m dependable, active, and genuinely enjoy spending time outdoors, so whether your dog prefers a leisurely stroll or a more energetic walk, I’ll make sure they get the attention, exercise, and care they deserve. I’ll also provide updates and photos so you can feel confident knowing your pet is in good hands. I’m excited to build lasting relationships with both pets and their owners by being reliable, communicative, and providing safe, loving care every time. I am flexible and available through out the day Mondays Fridays and Weekends as well as most week nights. Can always move things around if need be. I live in a large house in Long Beach New York, with plenty of room inside, as well as the beach to accommodate any dog.

I used Janine for the first time, and she exceeded every expectation. She was professional, communicative, and genuinely caring, providing regular updates that gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. I came home to a happy, well-cared-for dog, and I would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for an exceptional dog sitter.

Cannot say enough great things about Sam and her family. You can truly tell they love animals and took care of my dog like he was their own. She kept me updated and send me pictures for the week I was away. My dog truly did not want to leave when I went to pick him up. I know he cannot wait to go back!

Susan was great - communicative, attentive, and incredibly responsible. While I was away, my dog unexpectedly got sick, and Susan handled everything with great care. It was definitely scary, but Susan never left Rio’s side and kept me updated the whole time. In the end, Rio luckily ended up being totally fine, and I was really grateful to have Susan there taking such good care of her.

Shushma and her family are amazing! She saved me during the last snow storm when the person meant to watch Haddie couldn’t get home due to flight cancellations and it was absolutely meant to be. She provided lots of updates and it was clear the family and their dogs had completely embraced Haddie as one of their own.

Trevor and his wife Sabrina did such an amazing job with our 4 month old puppy. She was very nervous being apart from us for the first time. Trevor and Sabrina were communicative throughout and helped her through her nerves. We would absolutely use them again and felt really lucky to have our puppy in such good hands.

First time using Rover and couldn’t have had an easier experience. Jamie was awesome and kept me updated and at ease the whole time. When I came to pick Parker up he didn’t want to leave and he’s nice and tired from all the exercise. Will definitely be using Jamie again!

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
