“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This was my first time working with Kristin, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! 🐱💙🐱💕 From the moment I met her, she had such a gentle, kind demeanor that I immediately felt comfortable trusting her with my two cats, Oreo and Nala. She even started taking notes during our meet-and-greet, which I truly appreciated. Even though I already had detailed written instructions, it showed me that she was prepared, proactive, and genuinely wanted to make sure everything was done perfectly. 📝✨ Kristin followed every instruction carefully and thoroughly, giving me complete peace of mind while I was away. The biggest surprise of all was my super shy girl, Nala. She normally takes quite a while to warm up to new people, but by just the second visit she was already out and about hanging out with Kristin! 🥹💕 That is a huge deal and really speaks to how patient, calm, and caring she is with animals. Knowing that Oreo and Nala were comfortable, happy, and so well cared for made my trip so much more enjoyable. This was such a wonderful first experience that I’ve already booked future visits with Kristin! 🐾❤️ I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate, attentive pet sitter. Thank you again for taking such amazing care of my babies! 🥰”

About: I have been a in-home pet sitter for the past six years for a medium size dog who had special needs as a puppy. I also am a pet photographer and have done pet portraits and holiday cards! I recently lost my beloved dog Zoey, who I had for over 12 years. I love dogs deeply, and welcome them into my home. I am available on a part time basis with more availability during the summer months. Weekends are ideal but I can be available after 5pm on weekdays or early morning. I live in a pet friendly apartment building, in a dog friendly neighborhood! My apartment is in the smaller side but dog and cat safe!
“Lisa did visits with my cat Pippy for a week and I could not have been happier! She came each visit at the requested time and played so sweetly with Pippy. I loved getting photos and video from each visit and I saw how happy Pippy was. Lisa made Pippy so comfortable that she was happy to play each visit. I will book Lisa again for future visits!”

“Becky looked after my cat Klover on Christmas and was nothing but kind, sweet and attentive. Typical cat behavior, Klover doesn’t usually greet people but was out and about when Becky was there. I definitely recommend her as a sitter!”

“Ricardo is fabulous. I have a rescue that is very skeptical but took to Ricardo quickly. He follows my wishes and I’m very grateful to have him taking such good care of bingo!”

“Angela has been an Angel for us. I literally do not know what I would have done without her. Our booking was too short notice for a meet and greet (like it’s 9pm and we need someone for the next several days starting tomorrow). She answered our distress call and made it work with two recently adopted regressing special needs puppies. She’s very communicative, and took lots of photos during her visits. She is prompt and punctual and just really amazing with our puppies. They are normally terrified of everything and everyone but Angela is super patient and sweet and the dogs trusted her like immediately. Her visits changed our potty training trajectory, they were regressing and all of a sudden afraid of outside, but Angela came through and somehow turned it all around. So thankful to have found her.”

“Jamie was amazing! I just recently adopted my pup and was nervous about leaving him for a long period of time. Jamie helped ease my mind as a new dog mom and took such good care of Roger. She’s super responsive and makes sure to send updates! Would definitely use her again!”

“Kenny helped us with a last minute booking for our 3 beloved dogs. We needed to be away from home for an entire day. He accommodated meeting us last minute the day before our trip, he was very professional and we could tell right away his love and commitment to his work. He made us feel at ease with messages and photos. He came back and forth 4x throughout the day and gave them plenty of outside time and bonding with them, he was able to get our finicky dogs to eat. We are going to call on Kenny again because he made sure they were comfortable while we were away from home.”

“Stacey was incredibly patient, helpful and respectful! She took the time to get to know our dog before doing a drop in visit for over an hour and taking her for a walk. Took many pictures and did more than I could ask.”

I have to say I was so nervous leaving my boys !! But then I met Janelle and my cats adored her … She took care of all their needs and made sure they were well looked after sending me messages and pictures it was a great experience and will use her in the future .. Timmy and Acey thank you !!

Angela was the best cat sitter we could have ever found. From the moment I requested to book, she was communicative and friendly. She came by the same day for a meet and greet and was so friendly to our little Laszlo. My boyfriend and I knew instantly that we would hire her. This is our first pet together and he’s a little baby so we were really worried to leave him for such a long time. Angela reassured us and made us feel comfortable way before our trip. We booked Angela for a daily drop in and she provided Laszlo with food, water and a litter box change. She gave Laszlo lots of cuddles and play time & provided us with live updates and photos. She also watered our plants and made sure to check in if we needed anything else. She instantly fell in love with Laszlo and gave him such great care and attention. It’s unfortunate that she lives in Brazil 8 months out of the year but we will 100% be using her again when she comes back. Angela is also a really outgoing person so I think I have just found a new friend! 100000/10. Best cat sitter ever!

Nicole was excellent—punctual and clearly took care to follow all of the instructions. She came for a dog check in, feeding, and dog walk and documented the entire thing with texts and photos in real time, which is really assuring whenever someone is in your home when you are not. My puppy seemed to love her—she did all of her business—and everything was left in the same condition as before. Would definitely recommend and will use in the future.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
