Pet care fits very naturally into my routine. I work from home with a flexible schedule, which allows me to accommodate walks, drop-ins, and check-ins throughout the day. My kids are grown and on their own, and I don’t have pets at this time, so I’m able to give my attention to the pets I’m caring for and adjust my schedule as needed.

A typical day
A typical day is calm, structured, and tailored to each pet’s needs. We start with a morning walk, often enjoying the nearby beach for fresh air and a little exploration, followed by breakfast and a relaxed settling-in period. During the day, I include additional walks, playtime, and plenty of affection, along with quiet time for rest and naps. I enjoy getting outside whenever possible, especially to the beach or nearby neighborhood, and adjust activity levels based on a pet’s age, energy, and routine. Throughout the day, I provide companionship, reassurance, and a comfortable home environment so pets feel safe and at ease. I also send regular updates and photos so you can see how your pet is doing while you’re away.

Thoughtful Care for Your Pet
Pet care experience
I’ve been a dog owner my entire life and have cared for dogs and cats for friends, family, and neighbors over the years. I’m attentive, dependable, and truly treat every pet as if they were my own. While I recently lost my own dog and am not ready to get another just yet, I deeply miss having dogs around and genuinely enjoy giving them calm, loving care. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their people are away. I only take a limited number of pets at a time so I can give each one my full attention.
Reviews

Susan was great - communicative, attentive, and incredibly responsible. While I was away, my dog unexpectedly got sick, and Susan handled everything with great care. It was definitely scary, but Susan never left Rio’s side and kept me updated the whole time. In the end, Rio luckily ended up being totally fine, and I was really grateful to have Susan there taking such good care of her.

Amazing as usual! Prompt, asked questions, and a remembered instructions from previous walks! Couldnt recommend enough

What a pleasant and lovely find. This was my first booking through Rover and i didnt know what to expect but after an impulse adoption of a puppy - 🐶 i didnt have any options for dog walking! Susan was prompt in replying back, amazing with my nervous guy and a dream to deal with! Completely made me calm and happy about my impulsive decisions haha!

Susan is wonderful! She clearly loves dogs so much and Cali was instantly comfortable with her. Susan was responsive and easy to communicate with. She took excellent care of Cali on several walks/feedings and even sent me photos! Highly recommend!!!
