About: Pets (and working animals) have always been in my life. Currently I do have dogs of my own and always have. Moved to the city and sure do miss my goats, chickens and most of all my potbellies that couldn't come 😭 My father was an animal scientist and I've been around animals of all sorts since the day I was born. I'm a stay at home mom with my youngest at 11 years old. My entire day is free! If I'm not caring or playing with a four legged friend or two webbed feet I'm not having fun! Safety for your pet is most important. Playtime would be wherever you request whether it be your own backyard, walked on a leash, dog park or inside playtime. Your pet will be treated with the utmost care with lots of fun with the safety of him/her always in mind.
“Rachel and her family took amazing care of a mama cat and four babies we rescued from a shipyard. She was accommodating, responsive, and clearly loves to take care of animals. Could not recommend anyone more and would absolutely use again in the future.”

“Elen is amazing to work with! She has the calmest, sweetest nature that instantly put both myself and our pup at ease. Our dog loved playing with her dog, received lots of exercise and loving care. We appreciated the pictures and video that she was thoughtful enough to send. When our pick up time was delayed due to bad traffic she was more than accommodating. And her gone and yard are clean, warm and welcoming. Our dog loved his stay. We will be using her again in the future!”

And I will ensure that your furry friend is cared for.

“Jesse was amazing! He accepted my booking on very short notice and took excellent care of my dog, Xena, all weekend. He kept me updated, was reliable, and gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. Xena was happy, well cared for, and I could tell she was in great hands. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Jesse again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter. Thank you so much!”

About: Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. From growing up with cats and dogs to spending the last four years working with an animal rescue, caring for animals isn’t just something I do, it’s what drives me. I’ve helped care for rescue animals and pets of all personalities and needs. My goal is always the same: to make every animal feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their owner is away. I'm currently working part time. I can be available in the mornings before 8am and most afternoons after 4pm. My working days change, but I am happy to fit what is needed in my schedule. I have a fenced in yard. I do have two friendly dogs whome are kenneled off and on, and 2 cats. I also foster and help care of others animals in their homes and sometimes in mine for periods of time.
“Dianne went above and beyond taking care of my 2 Golden Retrievers. They seemed perfectly content while in her care, and she accommodated me making multiple changes to the schedule and pestering her constantly! Will definitely use her again when I'm in town.”

“Nicole was phenomenal with our dog. She paid attention to her and spent so much time playing with her and taking her on walks, etc. We use dog sitters a lot but Nicole exceeded our expectations and we will be using her for all future dog sitting needs. 10/10 recommend. If you’re on the fence about who you should use, definitely book Nicole you won’t regret it! Our dog thought she was on vacation.”

“Danielle was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! She went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. She was timely and frequent in her communication with us and didn't hesitate to help in any way she could. She is a jewel and an absolute Godsend!!”

“Jecinda was great to work with! So glad Ruger was able to stay with her while we were away for three nights. She was very responsive and sent messages and photos everyday. We will book with her again next time!”

“Cierra was awesome - very quick to respond to the request for booking, even though it was very "last minute". She was very friendly and professional and obviously took very good care of our dog while we were away. Cierra kept us updated frequently on our dog throughout the weekend with texts and photos. She was also very flexible with the scheduling. Overall, we HIGHLY recommend Cierra D. and will be calling on her again in the future!!”
“Ladona took great care of Rocky! He was happy and cozy while I was out of town. Her communication was excellent, and she provided lots of updates and pictures. Would absolutely book again!”

“Brittany was amazing! Very easy to work with and even went above and beyond by accepting an earlier drop off time at the last minute. She sent pics daily and made sure my pup felt loved. Highly recommend!”

“Kendall took such INCREDIBLE care of Applesauce. It was our first time leaving her with someone we did not know previously and I could not recommend her more. Thank you Kendall for taking such great care of her and being so responsive. ❤️”

About: I have always had animals in my life. In my past I have raised, trained and shown Dobermans. I have raised Persian cats. I have owned horses, raised quail, raised other game birds, owned a cockatoo (Goffin), kept fish (reef tank), saltwater and freshwater, had a koi pond, raised geckos and chameleons, and currently have a small flock chickens, 3 cats and one Dobie. My dog and cats get along with others. I am comfortable with all kinds. Can keep some in my home or come to yours. I have often pet sit for friends and family and decided to join Rover. I work during the day Monday through Friday until 430. I can come home during lunch or go to your home for a potty break or walk. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Long Beach
Jessica was so sweet to my two baby cat boys, Taka and Mocha. I was initially concerned about their reaction to her cats and dogs, but everything went smoothly. I loved getting many photo and video updates of my fur babies. She was great at giving my cat his medicine, despite his skittishness. I’m so glad to have my babies back, and would book again without hesitation.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MS ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
