Kadie took the best care of my girl. I was super nervous since this was my first time using Rover! I will always look for Kadie whenever I need someone to walk my baby in the future.

I’ve had dogs my entire life and have house sat and walked dogs for family and friends for just as long. We have fostered cats as well and have experience with many types of animals. I have watched dogs from 8lbs puppies to 100+ pound dogs and everything in between. I have a fenced in yard and I love to give dogs attention and am always down to take them on a run, play fetch with them and give them lots of attention. I look forward to watching your pets! I am currently station at Camp Lejeune and my wife is home, so between the two of us, someone will always be watching your dog(s). I have a fenced in yard, and 2 non aggressive dogs. We always supervise when they are together and can ensure your dog will be safe with us.

About: Hi, I’m Venus! I have many years of training puppies as I have trained 4 of my own puppies. I’ve volunteered to numerous animal shelters. I’m patient, understanding and love any type of breed/age of animal! I can provide the most attentive care you can depend on. I currently have an open schedule before I start college in the new year. Whenever you need me, I can be there for your pet. I share my home with two playful 10-month-old puppy brothers who are full of energy, love, and curiosity. Because I care for them daily, I’ve created a home environment that’s safe, clean, and full of enrichment plenty of playtime, cozy spots for naps, and lots of affection. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or more laid-back and shy, I take the time to help them feel comfortable and loved. I stick to your pet’s routine, offer regular potty breaks, and make sure they have plenty of time for cuddles, play, and rest. Your pet will be in good hands here not just watched over, but cared for like family.

About: I have always had pets of my own my entire life. I am also the go to dog walker, kitty sitter, and fish feeder in my neighborhood. With my medical skills ( with specific instruction from you) I can administer pills and medications as needed. I am highly responsible and will treat your fur babies with much love and follow your routines to keep them happy. I am happy to take them for many walks and play as much ball as they would like:) As a homeowner and pet owner myself. I can appreciate also that leaving your pets in the care of a stranger can be nerve wracking. I will treat your home and pets with the same care and respect I give mine. Since I’m retired, I have the flexibility and availability to give your pets the attention, companionship, and care they deserve throughout the day. Whether your dog loves playtime, walks, cuddles or simply having someone nearby. I will make sure they feel comfortable and cared for as if they were my own. Your pup will be treated like family in my home. I have a large fenced-in yard for safe playtime, they are welcome to my entire home—no being confined to a kennel unless that’s what they are used to and prefer. They will always be treated like one of my own 🐾 ❤️

Lexie did great! Absolutely recommend her services to anyone in need. She took care of our dog amazingly and updated throughout our trip overseas. She really took care of him as her own and had us sleeping easy. A 5 star review is not high enough, book her and you won't be disappointed!

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Long Beach. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Long Beach. On Rover:

  • 100% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
