“My pug Charlie had another wonderful time with Abbie and Peachy. Charlie feels really safe with Abbie even though she is a little anxious and Peachy is a great friend that helps Charlie to stay active and socialized especially in this cold weather. Outstanding hosts!”

“This was our first time using Rover, and Emily made it such a great experience. She took great care of Lolah from April 1–11 and sent photo updates that made me feel at ease while I was away. Lolah was clearly in good hands. I would definitely book with her again—highly recommend!”

“My first time booking with Wendy and everything was amazing! If we are ever in need of petsitting again, Wendy would be my first call. She was extremely communicative throughout, and sent us lots of photos and videos. My dog is a bit sensitive and like our baby, so we do not trust her in anyone’s hands. That said, I found her to be trustworthy and I knew my fur baby was in good hands!”

“Kevin did an amazing job watching my dog, Jamie, for the first time! He sent me daily photos of Jamie enjoying walks and relaxing in the sun on the balcony, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It was clear that Jamie was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I know he’s in great hands with Kevin, and I’ll definitely be rebooking!”

“Rafaelina and her family were amazing with Chewie! He was so happy staying with them and having so many friends to run around with all day. They sent daily photos and messages to keep me updated on Chewie which I really appreciated. We will definitely use them again! Thank you so much for taking such good care of our baby!”

“If you want your pup to feel like they're at a home away from home - book with Tina. She and her family (two young children who will entertain your dog endlessly) will provide a loving environment with lots of play and attention. I boarded my 7 year old pit mix for several days and he felt right at home immediately. Tina was great sharing photos and videos of Lincoln playing in the fenced in back and taking lots of walks (I think he thought twice about coming back home :)). So happy I found her.”

“We were so grateful to find Richard before a week long trip to Iceland. Riley had a great place to stay with a big, fenced in back yard and lots of love and play. He had a few puppy friends to play with, but he doesn't take too many dogs at a time so it wasn't overwhelming for our only-child pup. I highly recommend him!”

“Tanu and her family provided a safe environment for our two dogs. Our senior dog has medical problems, and Tanu communicated promptly when any issues arose. She exercised them regularly and sent us daily updates and photos.”

“Marcelina was absolutely fabulous with my two dogs. She took such good care of them. Her communication with me over the stay was consistent, prompt and she sent videos and pictures of my pups. Her home is beautiful and I would absolutely leave my dogs with her again. A great experience!!”

“Margaret took excellent care of our senior dog while we were traveling. She was very attentive to his needs and made him feel very comfortable while we were away. She even graciously agreed to extend his stay for a couple of days when our flight home was canceled. I highly recommend her services!”

“My dog was so well cared for and we received pictures and check in’s. Jessica is super responsive. It was very evident the whole family is kind and loves dogs. My dog was clearly treated like gold and came home happy!”

“Cooper has stayed with Nicole twice so far and the second time I bought him to her house, he ran inside. She seems to be very attentive and is incredibly responsive. We’ll definitely be staying here again! Thank you for the awesome experience for my dogs first boarding.”

“Elvia is the best! Our dachshund loves her and so do we. Super reliable and takes such good care of our pup. We’ve used Elvia for both daytime and overnights and would highly recommend!”

“Destiny is wonderful! She responded promptly to my request and was very accommodating and flexible around my time needs for drop-off and pick-up. She offered a FaceTime call before booking so I could feel confident and answer any questions I needed. My dog is a senior dog and can have separation anxiety, but I could tell she got along quickly with her. She was kind, courteous, and very friendly. I’ll definitely be continuing to book with Destiny!”

“I can’t say enough good things about V! It’s always hard leaving Bluey behind, but they made it so much easier by sending regular updates and photos. My dog was clearly happy, well-cared for, and relaxed when I got home. Highly recommend!”

“Valentina was such an incredible sitter who not only shared constant photos and videos but you could tell the cat was being cared and loved in her temporary home! Definitely one of the best out there!”

About: https://www.rover.com/sit/geethk04148 Use this to get $20 off your first booking. I’ve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember — fostering puppies and kittens, helping them find loving forever homes, and caring for my own pets over the years. I grew up with a gentle Labrador who will always hold a special place in my heart, and I now have a spirited 6-month-old Miniature Pinscher mix rescue who keeps me on my toes and fills my days with joy. My experience ranges from raising playful puppies and kittens to caring for older dogs and cats, and I understand the patience, attention, and consistency they need. I’ve even traveled multiple times with my own dog between Florida and other states, so I know how to keep pets comfortable and secure in different environments. While I’m new to Rover and don’t yet have reviews, I bring dedication, reliability, and genuine love for animals to every job. If trusted with your pet, I’ll treat them like my own — ensuring they’re safe, happy, and cared for as if you never left. I work from home full-time, which means your pet will get plenty of attention, care, and companionship throughout the day. From regular walks and play sessions to cuddle breaks and feeding schedules, I can be there for your furry friend every step of the way. Their comfort and happiness will be part of my daily routine. I have a spacious yard where dogs can enjoy fresh air and playtime, safe for outdoor fun. For exercise, I can also take dogs on leashed walks around the neighborhood or to nearby pet-friendly areas. Inside my home, pets have a comfortable and safe environment with plenty of space to relax, play, and feel at ease. I make sure fresh water is always available, follow their feeding schedule exactly, and give them lots of affection and attention. If caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and keep routines consistent — from walks and play to feeding and medication (if needed). I make sure your pet feels loved and secure until you return. Your pet’s comfort and happiness are my top priorities — they’ll be treated like part of the family from the moment they arrive.
“This was our first experience with leaving Scar with anyone other than family and need to say that it was a very good experience. Thank you for the video and pictures to keep up at ease. Will definitely use them again.”

“We had such a wonderful experience! Dior felt right at home from the moment she arrived and was so well cared for during her stay. We loved getting updates and could tell she was receiving lots of attention, love, and even some extra treats. Especially because Dior was in heat we were so happy she was comfortable. The thoughtful gift keychain was such a sweet surprise and really showed how much they care about both pets and their owners. We came home to a happy pup and couldn't ask for more. We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and attentive to watch their dog!”

It is such a luxury to go on vacation knowing my animals are in Danny’s care. He and his family treat my fur babies like members of their own family. During our trip, Danny even dressed Lilo in a Colombia soccer jersey so she could cheer on the game with them, and both dogs got to celebrate the Fourth of July as part of the family. He also reached out ahead of the fireworks to ask how they typically react so he could make them as comfortable and stress-free as possible. That level of thoughtfulness and genuine love for animals is rare. I never worry when they’re with Danny, and I can’t recommend him highly enough.

Danielle has taken care of our Cavapoo twice, and we couldn't be happier with the care she provided. She is dependable, attentive, and extremely professional. From the moment we met her, we felt confident that our dog was in great hands. She kept us updated, made sure all of our dog's needs were met, and treated him with genuine kindness and care. It gave us real peace of mind knowing he was safe, happy, and well cared for while we were away. We highly recommend Danielle to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter. We will definitely be booking her again!

We used Samantha K. while visiting from out of town for a wedding, and we could not have been happier! It is always stressful leaving your pup in an unfamiliar city, but Samantha K gave us total peace of mind. We received regular updates and photos, which allowed us to fully relax and enjoy the wedding celebrations knowing our dog was in great hands. They were incredibly professional, flexible with our shifting schedule, and truly loved our dog like their own. We highly recommend Samantha K to anyone—local or traveling!"

Jordan is pleasant and responsive. Latke was returned happy and healthy. He let me know that he had another booking that would overlap mine, which turned out OK but would have been an issue if the dogs didn’t get along. His apartment is small and it would have been difficult to keep the dogs separated. Also I would have appreciated more photos, especially on the first day with the other dog. He responded promptly with pictures when prompted. Overall, I would recommend him.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
