“Isabella was amazing with my two dogs while I was away. She kept me updated the entire time with lots of pictures and communication, which gave me so much peace of mind. She has such a loving and caring family environment, and my dogs were clearly very comfortable there — even my little nervous one. I am so grateful for the care she gave them and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a kind, trustworthy, and attentive pet sitter.”

“My wife and I needed a last minute dog sitter, and we found dilania here on rover. Her response was quick. When we dropped our dogs off she gave updates and took great care of our pups.”

“Thank you so much for taking care of everything over the past three days. He responded very promptly and kindly every time, and sent me videos several times, which made me feel very reassured. I truly appreciate his thoughtfulness and communication.”

“Michelle is fantastic! She checked in with me multiple times each day and sent pictures and videos whenever possible. She was responsive when I sent messages and questions. My pups were well taken care of.”

“Karen is the absolute best. She has been extremely flexible, attentive and beyond sweet with my dog, Coco. If you are looking for someone that is very responsible and trustworthy, then Karen is your person. I highly recommend Karen to anyone in need of pet-sitting services!”

“We cannot rave enough about our experience with Danielle! We used her for our Mastiff puppy while we went on vacation and we were worried because he was a puppy on how he would be with being sat for the first time. We met with Danielle prior to the stay and our first impression was terrific. We had such a great piece of mind while we were gone. She sent multiple pictures daily and likewise kept us informed on how he was doing. We could tell that he thoroughly enjoyed his stay at her home and it was a great experience for him to be with other older dogs! Danielle was also so very patient & accommodating with us getting stuck on our trip longer due to the weather! We would/will recommend her to anyone we know and if we need a sitter in the future, we know who we will ask first! Thank you to Danielle and her family for treating our Otto as one of their own. ?You can't ask for more than that!”

“Duke was so well taken care of during his stay with Grace and Luis. Grace sent updates daily with pictures. they truly welcomed him into their home and treated him as their own. Feeding instructions were followed accordingly. Duke came home happy.”

“Consuelo and family take such great care - we booked for 3 different times in the week. and yes, our puppy keeps asking, "When are we going back?" Highly recommend!!!”

“Margaret took excellent care of our senior dog while we were traveling. She was very attentive to his needs and made him feel very comfortable while we were away. She even graciously agreed to extend his stay for a couple of days when our flight home was canceled. I highly recommend her services!”

“Valentina was amazing with Bentley! She was so sweet, communicative, and clearly gave him so much love and attention. She sent me updates 1–2 times a day with lots of pictures, and Bentley always looked so happy and comfortable. She made him feel right at home, gave him plenty of outside and play time, and even sent him home with a little stuffed animal gift! 🥹 Her son Ezekiel was also such a sweet little helper. I’m so happy I found Valentina and would absolutely trust her with Bentley again. Highly recommend her!”

“Denise was very sweet to my dog and followed all of the feeding instructions carefully. Cooper made friends with her dogs, and she made sure Cooper was safe and well cared for at all times. 🐾”
“Amy is a warm responsible and delightful person. She sends us frequent messages about how our dog is doing. She’s been there for us in a jam and we adore her very much. You would be lucky to work with her.”

“We are so grateful to Linda. She accepted our last minute request for sitting our two beloved dogs Benson and Chloe. She is very kind and our dogs were very happy, seemed comfortable and were obviously in good hands. We are looking forward to booking future dog sitting visits with Linda and her lovely family.”

“We had great communication with Shirley throughout the entire process. We did a meet and greet before the stay, and she asked thoughtful questions beforehand to really get to know our dog. During the stay, she shared lots of photos and videos, which we truly appreciated. She was also very flexible and accommodating when we had to change our plans due to the snowstorm. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve been a dog mom to a puggle and beagle for over 20 years. With that, I have experience with high energy and sneaky personalities! As both babies entered their senior years, I was responsible in caring for their medical needs. My sweet daughter, Ruby (the beagle in picture), recently crossed over the rainbow bridge and my home and soul has not been the same. I am not ready to fill the void with my own fur baby as of yet, but ready to share my love to others. I work remotely as a social worker 5 days a week, so your baby would have plenty of attention. I have my own car and can drive for any emergencies that may arise. Please note that I will respond to messages that are received between 9AM-10PM. I make every effort to respond within 30 minutes. However, if you do not hear from me immediately, please allow me the time to reply as I will never ignore a message. I work remotely from home, so I am flexible with caring for your fur baby in my home. With walks, I am available in the afternoon and evenings with advance notice. Important 📝: Upon booking, I will ask for a meet and greet at a neutral spot. This can be at a dog friendly cafe, a park, and/or the front and then backyard at my home to reduce any stress. For privacy and safety reasons, there will be a limited (only view certain areas) in-home tour until the booking has been finalized. I have a fenced yard if your fur baby likes to run around off leash. I would also take them on walks and/or play with them according to preferences. I have no children or other fur babies in the home but if your baby is open to children, I have two nieces and a nephew who loves dogs that are willing to share their affection! Larger Dogs: I am open and available for daycare and boarding if they are leash and recall trained. Please message me and we can further discuss if we would be a good fit!

“Our 2 frenchies stayed with Gabrielle for 10 days while we were out of town, and had a great time! They seemed right at home, and it was so nice to know our girls were so spoiled and well-loved while we were gone.”

“Sadie had the very best time with Delmy & family! They sent pictures/videos the entire time and Sadie was so happy in all of them. 10/10 would recommend and I will be using them again”

“Diane is an exceptionally caring and thoughtful sitter. She took such great care of Stella during the time we were away. From the moment we dropped her off Diane made sure Stella was settled into her place nicely, and was in constant communication sending us photos and updates. I could not recommended her enough! 10/10”

“Our dogs had a great time with Debbie! Once again she took excellent care of our dogs. I really appreciate the communication, and all the photos that Debbie sent of our little ones. I would recommend her 100%”

We used Samantha K. while visiting from out of town for a wedding, and we could not have been happier! A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
