“Liz was everything we could ask for and more in the way she housesit and cared for our special needs beagle. She took him on great walks, had no trouble administering his meds (11 pills twice a day plus some additional in his food), and was constantly updating us with photos, videos, and texts. She put us totally at ease being away from our pet, and that is rare given the demands of a special needs dog. She is at the top of our list and is the first person we’ll call anytime we go away again.”

About: I’m a lifelong dog lover who has been around dogs since I was seven years old. I raised my own Golden Retriever from puppyhood and have regularly babysat and cared for my friends’ dogs, who trust me to keep their pets safe, engaged, and happy. I strongly believe in active play, enrichment, and fun, balanced with attentive supervision. I also have a large, fully fenced backyard that provides a safe and spacious environment for dogs to run, play, and socialize. I work remote full time at home and am always around. I leave my office open and have my fur friends around. I take them on long walks and of course cuddle time 🐶 I have a fenced back yard. Very safe in a cul de sac neighborhood. My Ziggy golden retriever is the perfect puppy friend for your pup!

“If I could vote 6/5, for Jill as a petsitter, I would. I was leaving for a much-needed vacation, 8 days, and at the last minute, my friend who was to watch my dog, Kasey Jane, and my 8-month old kitten, Lenta (Polenta!), became sick. I reached out to Jill on Rover, having never met her before and she responded immediately. Jill jumped in and efficiently, pleasantly and with a true love of my beloved pets, saved the day! Jill also stayed with my two lovable furballs overnight. During my trip, Jill sent photos of my pets, further putting my mind at ease and allowing me to enjoy my vacation. When I returned, it was as if I'd never left - Kasey and little Lenta were happy and well cared for and my home was in the nice order I'd left it. I strongly urge anyone looking for a pet/home sitter to hire Jill!”

About: HIGHLY EXPERIENCED WITH DOGS THAT HAVE BEHAVIORAL ISSUES!! Eager to work! :) I have grown up with, and helped care for, dogs my whole life. For the past 3 years I have been training my dog, currently with assistance from a trainer. He was fearful-reactive and is now an amazing service dog in training. I have been a volunteer at the world’s largest no-kill shelter for 2 years now. I have handled dogs of all ages, sizes, breeds, and temperaments. I have worked with blind and senior dogs. I have run puppy play groups, as well as puppy mill, senior, and teen play groups. some behavioral challenges in dogs that I have worked with include: fearful; reactive; food and/or object possessive; stranger danger; seperation anxiety; dog vs dog aggression; strong leadership; mouthy; and more i’m sure i’m forgetting. I have taken several extensive dog training classes to improve my skill and knowledge. I was the first 16 year old to reach one of the most advanced dog levels. I am very well-versed in understanding dog body language. I have dealt with sick dogs as well as dogs with skin conditions. I have helped get the neighbors dog to eat, as well as go potty and play. I also have experience with cats from the shelter as i have taken advanced feline behavior classes. I am able to understand cat body language fairly well. I have worked with cats as well as kittens. I can care for, and clean up after, dogs and/or cats. I will always respect your pets boundaries. I will genuinely treat your fur babies as my own. My dedication and passion truly is to ALL animals. 🩷 I am a full time college student. I regularly update my calendar to show my availability. Make sure to check there! Can’t wait to hear from you :) I will make sure your pet has fresh food and water, as well as making sure there is nothing clearly dangerous left out that the pet could hurt themselves with or eat. I will ensure everything is as it was when I came, as well as closing and locking any doors I used. I will dispose of animal waste as instructed. On walks I have a steady balance and strong leash hold to ensure the dog stays with me. I may carry treats with me for minor training/intervention (if allowed and if the dog pulls or something like that). If your dog is scared of certain things or creatures I will take precautions to avoid anything triggering to the dog. Lastly, I will certainly make sure the pet(s) feel loved, happy, and relaxed.
About: After having to rehome my sweet Morkie (Maltese-Yorkie mix) due to housing arrangements, I’ve made it my mission to love and care for every pet as if they were my own. Your furry friend’s comfort and happiness will always come first with me! I never tire of playtime and have plenty of energy to keep up with even the most playful pups—but I also adore snuggling with laid-back dogs who just want some company. Since I love being outdoors and staying active, I’d be more than happy to take your dog on long walks or fun outdoor adventures. And for the cat parents out there—I’m a huge cat lover and would be thrilled to care for your feline friends. 😊 I work from home full-time with a flexible schedule, which means I have plenty of time to devote to your furry friends. My schedule is open and adaptable, so feel free to reach out with any inquiries—I’ll do my best to make it work! I live in a rental home without access to a backyard, but I’m just a short 10-minute walk from a park I know well and love visiting with pets. At home, I have two older, friendly cats who are very relaxed and comfortable around dogs. I’m happy to care for your pets in whatever way works best—whether that’s playing indoors at your home, enjoying some outdoor time around your neighborhood, or heading to the park for extra fun and exercise!

About: Trustworthy, punctual, and animal loving; what more could you want!? I strongly believe in following an owner’s instructions, fur babies are beloved and I’m here to make sure you’re totally comfortable and confident while you’re not home to tend to your pet yourself. Have years of pet sitting for family and friends, currently saving for a wedding so although I have a 9-5, I am available for weekends, mornings, or evening walks/ visits. I work locally too with some remote options so house sitting or afternoon pop ins are feasible but require some discussion and coordination. I work full time (9-5:20, M-F) but locally in Huntington. I am available in mornings before work, after work, and on many weekends. I have flexibility with work too and occasionally work remotely. I respect any and all directions pet-owners give me. If you say your pup can’t be off the leash for whatever reason, that is your call. If there’s a dog park you want me to go to religiously, your call as well! I am happy to help and listen to whatever you believe is best for your pup. If I’m watching a small dog, I’ve brought them to my office or to my apartment. If it’s a larger dog I prefer to visit the clients home.
About: Hey, my name’s Kat and I’m a cat mom! (My babes are currently in the second floor of the home, and would be kept separate from your pets.) I’m playful and engaging, and I care for animals like I would a child. I work full time as a sales assistant on Wall St., (Currently WFH on Fridays). I workout, enjoy the sauna, read self improvement/psychology books, and thrift shop during my free time. Long walks are relaxing to me which is why I want to help Rover pups! I would love to meet your babe and offer my services to your family. I have extensive experience with both cats and dogs of all sizes. At this time I am only accepting fully potty trained, neutered/spayed, and vaccinated pets. I work from home so I'm able to offer plenty of potty breaks during the day- as often as is necessary. I take dogs out 3-5 times a day minimum for walks. I will communicate as much as needed to make you feel comfortable with your pet being under my care- pictures and videos are sent frequently :)
About: Hi, my name is Tay! I’ve cared for animals of all kinds—dogs, cats, ducks, even horses—since I was young. I had a Lhasa Apso for 14 wonderful years who was truly my best friend, so I understand what it means to love a pet like family. Over the years, I’ve also pet sat for friends, neighbors, and family, and now proudly care for three rescue cats who I took in from the streets. My cats are part of my heart, but they mostly keep to their own area of the home and will have little to no interaction with your dog. Your pup will stay safely with me in my cozy room—away from the cats—and enjoy lots of one-on-one attention, love, and time outdoors. We’ll go on walks, explore the neighborhood, and have plenty of play and cuddle time. I’m comfortable with senior pets, shy or nervous animals, and those with unique routines or medical needs. Whether your dog needs an energetic walk, a calm and comforting environment, or patient care while you’re away, I’ll always show up with love, respect, and consistency—just like I do for my own animals. I’m currently in grad school for social work and also completing an internship, but I make it a priority to keep my schedule as flexible as possible. I love working pet care into my routine and can often adjust my availability around classes and other commitments. If there’s a way I can make it work to care for your pets, I’ll do my best to be there I care for every pet like they’re my own. I’ll always make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable—whether we’re hanging out at your place or going for a walk. I’ll keep you updated with plenty of messages and cute pictures so you never have to wonder how your fur baby is doing. Their happiness and well-being is my top priority
About: As a first-year vet student with 3 years in an animal hospital, I bring both skill and heart to every pet I care for. I’m comfortable with all breeds, from playful puppies to senior pets needing gentle attention. You can count on me to treat your pet like family while keeping them safe, happy, and loved. I’m also comfortable administering medications, reading pet body language, and making sure each pet’s physical and emotional needs are met. I’m available to provide pet care on weekends, with some weekday availability as well. I can accommodate walks, drop-ins, or house sitting, following your pet’s routine for feeding, exercise, and play. Whether it’s a quick visit or an overnight stay, your pets will receive attentive, safe, and loving care. When I care for pets in their own home, my top priority is keeping them comfortable, safe, and happy in their familiar environment. I follow each pet’s routine closely—feeding, walks, playtime, and any special instructions—to reduce stress while their family is away. As a first-year veterinary student with 3 years of animal hospital experience, I’m confident handling pets of all ages and needs, including seniors and those on medication. I pay close attention to behavior and health so I can notice if something seems off. Whether it’s a quick drop-in, a walk, or overnight care, I make sure every pet gets plenty of love, attention, and gentle reassurance. My goal is to make your time away worry-free by treating your pets with the same care and respect I’d give my own.

Madeleine is wonderful in many ways. Patient, loving and caring to my dog and cats. She is reliable, sensible, a problem solver and truly willing and able to help out above and beyond. Madeline animal sat over night for my dog and cats. My car broke down and my return time was greatly delayed.
