“Kimi had a good stay with Yvonne. They were also very accommodative when we had to change our pick up time after our flight got delayed. Thank you for taking care of Kimi!”

“Melissa and family were great with Max. Melissa sent us daily photos and updates about Max. Max spent a total of 6 days and he seemed to do great with them. I felt comfortable leaving Max there and would not hesitate to have Max stay with Melissa again.”

About: 💠 Hello! I offer pet care for when you’re not able to be there. I am available for drop-in visits, pet sitting, pet daycare, and also pet walking (even for cats!). 🚙 I currently provide pet care services for most of the Nassau County area and some parts of Nassau-Queens border. I am also able to travel to Manhattan with added transportation coverage. I am local: Repeat services booked with me receive special accommodations & rates. 🌃 Messages that are sent after hours on Rover may be responded to on the following day. 🔹 I’m experienced with small breeds, or toy breeds, specifically Pomeranians, been around them all my life, including newborns and senior dogs who were raised starting as puppies. 🔹 Experienced with docile cat breeds, in particular Persian, Himalayan, Ragdoll, Maine Coon and other related cat breeds. 🔹 Have experience with Goldfish, Bettas and birds such as Budgies, so knowledgeable about care. 🐾 I’m intuitive and pay attention to picking up the different ways a dog or cat expresses nonverbal communication, they constantly give us cues. About Me: I own a color-point Persian cat who is 7 years old that I enjoy spoiling. I can speak Italian, enjoy gardening, art, sewing, yoga, tennis & pilates. I’m a fan of the original Twilight movie directed by Catherine Hardwicke. 🐾 I’m currently providing pet care for a King Charles Cavalier who has mobility issues and dietary restrictions, but he is such a big mush! I am also caring for a special needs 4 month old kitten who needs to be syringe-fed, given both topical & oral medication on schedule, along with helping her with using a litter box. In addition to assisting with care of a (palm-sized) rescue kitten who is less than one month old needing to be bottle fed every few hours, given antibiotic medication for her eyes and frequent cleaning with wet wipes, due to being too young to know how to use a litter box. I have found it to be extremely rewarding and willing to look after a few more furbabies within my local area. 🔹 I’m trustworthy and reliable, I would always practice good manners. Respectful of privacy when I’m in a client’s home. I make sure that when I’m with your pet, safety is an upmost priority.
About: I’ve cared for dogs of all ages and sizes, treating each one like my own. From playful pups to senior snuggle bugs, I want your pets to feel safe, loved, and happy. I am a speech therapist at a skilled nursing facility who works close to home. I have a flexible schedule, allowing me to give your pet and mine plenty of attention and care. Plus, a loving family member is always home for extra company! I create a calm, loving environment with lots of play, cuddles, and routine. Whether in my home or yours, I follow your pet’s schedule to keep them happy and comfortable. Available for meet and greet by Mary Jane Davies park prior to pet boarding. As a personal preference, we don’t do meet & greets in the home and don’t take more than one dog (unless it’s from the same family, 2 max). Big on sending updates and pictures.
“Brittany took very good care of my Romeo. He was happy to be with her, and played well with other dogs in her care. My dog is no easy and I’m so glad it worked out. I will certainly use Brittany again!”

“This our second time utilizing Diane’s services and it was a pleasure. Our little pup Oreola had a blast being able to roam, be outside everyday, and play time with her new friend. We received great updates with photos and videos! She’s our first choice if available!”

“We had such a wonderful experience! Dior felt right at home from the moment she arrived and was so well cared for during her stay. We loved getting updates and could tell she was receiving lots of attention, love, and even some extra treats. Especially because Dior was in heat we were so happy she was comfortable. The thoughtful gift keychain was such a sweet surprise and really showed how much they care about both pets and their owners. We came home to a happy pup and couldn't ask for more. We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and attentive to watch their dog!”

“Jordan is pleasant and responsive. Latke was returned happy and healthy. He let me know that he had another booking that would overlap mine, which turned out OK but would have been an issue if the dogs didn’t get along. His apartment is small and it would have been difficult to keep the dogs separated. Also I would have appreciated more photos, especially on the first day with the other dog. He responded promptly with pictures when prompted. Overall, I would recommend him.”

“Jun G is extremely accommodating generous and sincerely kind. My dog Beau doesn't even look back at me ounce he's with Jun lol. Sends lots of pics video and updates, she is wonderful, I feel very comfortable Beau is safe and in the very best personal home care, awesome 👌”

“Cooper has stayed with Nicole twice so far and the second time I bought him to her house, he ran inside. She seems to be very attentive and is incredibly responsive. We’ll definitely be staying here again! Thank you for the awesome experience for my dogs first boarding.”

“Absolutely recommend. Nari and her family took care of San, a 4-year old Shiba Inu for 3 weeks. From the first moment to the last day, they treated San like family and provided daily updates. I fully trust them 😄”

“Margarita and Cristian took wonderful care of my dog, Gracey, while I was away for 10 days abroad. They sent pictures and let me know how she was doing. I provided notes and suggestions about Gracey as she has anxiety and she managed to adjust really well in their environment and with the other dogs that had overlapped with Gracey’s stay. I look forward to when I need to have Gracey stay with them in the future.”

“Karina took great care of my Archie while we were on vacation for 10 days. She kept in touch and sent pictures/videos frequently. Archie came back acting totally normal like we never left. Highly recommend Karina for your fur babies!”

“Ilona and her partner did an awesome job taking care of my dog Ice! They both clearly have a gift for working with animals and I can’t recommend them highly enough! Ice got plenty of exercise and care at their home, as well as the park. The daily photo updates were awesome ?”

“Vanessa watched my two dogs in her home a couple of weekends back and she was such a pleasure. She was extremely communicative and answered in a timely fashion, she made my dogs feel at home, and sent photos to me during their stay to relieve any stress I may have had. My dogs got along well with her dog, which I appreciated greatly; I loved that they were able to have fun with not only Vanessa and her family, but another pet. I also appreciated the fact that she was available with such short notice, as my prior plans fell through last minute. I will be sure to book with her in the future.”

“We adore Michael! Our pup always has a wonderful time there, and he takes excellent care of him! We appreciate the daily updates, and he is always very accommodating!”

“Pam & Jose were fantastic with our little man! He was so well loved & taken care of! We received some really great videos & photos which made this dogmom thrilled to know her baby boy was in great hands! I’m sure we’ll be booking with them again soon!”

“Michele and her family were absolutely amazing with my dog, Virgo! From start to finish, they showed so much love, patience, and care. They made him feel right at home and treated him like part of their family. Michele kept me updated with messages and adorable photos, which gave me complete peace of mind. When Virgo came home, he was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. I can’t recommend Michele and her family enough we will definitely be booking with them again!”

“Qin En took good care of my cat Echo while I was out of town. She sent me multiple pictures/videos a day so I can enjoy my vacation while making sure my cat is doing well. She genuinely loves cats and actually any animals! 😂 highly recommend 😊”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Roslyn
We boarded our 1yo dog with Katsumi for 5 nights and couldn’t be happier with the experience. Katsumi was wonderful, clearly loves and cares for dogs and made our boy feel right at home. She was very accommodating to his personality and routine. We’ll definitely be reaching out to Katsumi for future day care and boarding! 💚

I have never left my pup with a non-family member before and all I can say is - I am so happy that we found Jack! From the very first meet and greet and throughout the stay, Jack was communicative and kind. He sent me plenty of updates which helped ease any nervousness I had. My pup was also struggling with sensitive paws and Jack kept an eye on it and gave me some tips. Thanks again to Jack. My pup had such a great time staying with him!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
