“Casandra rescued us last minute when we were going out of town. She was flexible for us and great with our crew. Was able to read my shepherd’s body language when she was uneasy w her coming into the house. I am so grateful to her!”

“Melanie was great with ALL my animals (dogs, cats, chickens)! She went above and beyond to put my mind at ease and sincerely cared about my fur babies. I would highly recommend her for your pet-sitting needs!”

“Isabell did such an amazing job watching our two dogs. She was super communicative, proactive and was even nice enough to help us out with an extra morning drop in due to our evening flight being canceled, which delayed us from getting back to our pups in the evening as intended. We truly appreciate how attentive and caring she was, and will definitely book again.”

“Stephanie watched both my dogs over a holiday. She has house/dog sat for me before. One of my dogs has a seizure disorder so I’m picky about who watches them. Both dogs loved Stephanie and I was able to enjoy my time away knowing they were in good hands. I highly recommend her.”

“Leigh was awesome with our cats. She even got one of our cats who normally hides from every visitor to come out and say hello. She provided daily updates and pictures which definitely helped put us at ease about leaving our cats. I would highly recommend her and definitely plan to request her again for future pet sitting needs. Thanks again. Vanessa and Sarah”
“Brianna was amazing with my two pups. One can be a grumpy old man but he was such a happy pup with her. She kept me updated and sent pics throughout the night. She was so polite and respectful of my home. I would definitely rebook the next time I need help with the boys!!”

“Samantha and Sydney were absolutely wonderful! They kept in constant communication with us and sent regular updates throughout the day about how our pets were doing, which gave us so much peace of mind. We couldn't be happier with the care they provided, and we would absolutely trust them to look after our furry babies again. Highly recommended!”

“Daisa was perfect with my pup, Pickles! She asked insightful questions during the meet and greet to ensure she knew his mannerisms and habits. Then, she not only stuck with those habits but went above and beyond to spoil Pickles while I was gone. For instance, he loves long walks and she would walk him for 30-45 minimums each time. She gave me 3-4 updates a day with pictures and provided an app where I could track his walks. It really eased my anxiety, and I appreciate her help so much.”

“Madison was great! She took such good care of my elderly German Shepard, Claire. Claire has a pretty complicated routine, and usually struggles when I travel But this time I am not sure that Claire missed me at all. I will certainly rebook with her next time I travel.”

“Jacqueline was excellent with my dogs! She loved them just like I do and I have a dog with separation anxiety and he had no problems! I will be using Jacqueline for all my pet sitting needs!”
“Audrey was a fantastic dog sitter while we were away for our summer vacation. Very communicative, compassionate, and respectful of our home. Will definitely use her whenever possible and highly recommend you use her services too.”

“Magee-Lee did amazing with our two pups! One of our babies is very shy but she didn't seem to have a problem with Magee! We will be using her for future needs and definitely recommend to anyone that needs any pet service (including overnight). Shes extremely flexible, polite and reliable. I couldn't think of a better person to watch my fur children.”

“Elizabeth took care of our old pups twice. She is great in following instructions. She is very reliable, responsive and responsible sitter. Our pups are happy around her and we are relaxed when she is around to take care of our pups.”

About: Hi! My name is Lex, and I've been pet sitting since I was 19 years old. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I genuinely love getting to know each pet's personality. I've been lucky enough to have some of the same clients for over three years, which means a lot to me because it shows the trust we've built. I've also volunteered working with animals, so I'm comfortable with all kinds of pets, different temperaments, and different care needs. Big dogs, little dogs, cats, senior pets, shy pets, energetic pets—it doesn't matter to me. I honestly love them all! I'm currently in nursing school, so being responsible, patient, and paying attention to the little details comes naturally to me. Right now, I have a flexible schedule and open availability, so I'm happy to work around what you and your pet need. I know how stressful it can be leaving your pet with someone else, so I always do my best to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I'll treat your pets like they're my own and make sure they get plenty of attention, care, and affection. I can't wait to meet you and your furry family! Pet care fits naturally into my routine because it's something I genuinely enjoy. I'm currently in nursing school, which gives me a flexible schedule, so I have plenty of time for walks, drop-in visits, playtime, feedings, or just keeping pets company. I plan my day around the pets I'm caring for to make sure they get the attention, exercise, and love they deserve. I always try to keep pets on the routine they're already used to because I know that helps them feel the most comfortable. Whether I'm in my home or yours, I'll follow their feeding schedule, make sure they always have fresh water, give them plenty of playtime, walks, or cuddles (depending on what they enjoy), and make sure they get lots of attention. I'm happy to give medications if needed, clean litter boxes, pick up after dogs, and keep everything clean and tidy. I also like to send photo and video updates because I know how reassuring it is to see your pet happy while you're away. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, loved, and as stress-free as possible until you're back home.
“I can’t say enough good things about June. I haven’t left my cat, who I consider my baby, alone in over two years. She’s become very attached to me lately so I was a bit anxious with leaving her with anyone. Before committing, I met with June and after a good meeting, my fears were completely gone. I couldn’t have found a better person to take care of my Baba. June is a very responsible and caring person. She sent photos my cat daily and I could clearly see that my cat did NOT miss me. LOL. When I returned home, my house was better than when I left. Spotless and she even changed the sheets, washed them and made the bed. An added bonus, she knew exactly when I would be home and had the garage door open so all I had to do was pull in. I couldn’t have been happier. I HIGHLY recommend her to take care of your pet. I’d give her 10 stars if I could.”

“As usual Brad did a fantastic job. My dog has separation anxiety and needs to be watched in my home. He is consistent with updates and I get photos and videos while I’m away. I can’t put into words how appreciative I am for Brad and his help with my boy Alamo. I’ll definitely use him again and would definitely recommend him to others!”

“Kayleigh was an amazing dog / cat / house sitter! She even stayed through the night when the heater broke and it was freezing outside! I can definitely recommend her and will hope she is free next time I need a sitter.”

“Shannon did great with my 2 dogs and was extremely accommodating. She sent me plenty of pictures and updates so I never had to wonder how they were doing. I will definitely use her again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Little Elm
Torrie did a fantastic job caring for our two dogs. We have one dog with special-needs that actually ended up having some stomach issues and she handled it very well and took great care of him. He also has several different medications he has to take and at certain times and she was great with staying on his medication schedule and really spending a lot of time with both dogs and making sure they were happy and healthy. Our house also was very clean and well cared for while we were gone. This is the first time we’ve been able to go out of town since our dog was diagnosed with epilepsy so we now feel like we can actually take vacations and not worry about our dog when we’re not at home caring for him ourselves. I highly recommend Torrie for caring for your fur babies!

Samantha and Sydney were absolutely wonderful! They kept in constant communication with us and sent regular updates throughout the day about how our pets were doing, which gave us so much peace of mind. We couldn't be happier with the care they provided, and we would absolutely trust them to look after our furry babies again. Highly recommended!

I was originally nervous about leaving my babies for a week, as it was one of the longest times I’ve been away from them. Isabell made sure they had everything they needed, provided updates along the way, and gave them love and attention while I was gone. I came home to a clean house and happy animals, which is always the most important thing! I appreciate her help and the care she provided while I was away!

Cassandra continues to provide terrific care for our pets. I feel very comfortable leaving them in her care. Even though she has to work to get our dog to accept her she doesn’t give up, and instinctively knows what they need. I’ll be booking her again next year. Thanks for caring for our pet babies.

Loved loved loved Taytum! She’s very sweet and attentive to the dogs. She was extremely communicative, always sending pictures, videos, and other text updates. She was never difficult to reach and was always clear about what she’s doing and how the day went. She even ran back during her lunch breaks to walk the dogs - which is something so appreciated by us! I could tell how much the dogs loved her and loved having her there. We were gone for several days out of country and she made us comfortable from day one. Booking her from start to end was a breeze. We can’t wait to book again as she’s one of the best sitters we’ve had! Definitely don’t think twice about booking 💛

Erin was so great taking care of our cat, dog and home while we were gone on an almost week trip away to another country. I trusted her fully and she was very great at sending updates on how everything was going. Really kept my mind at ease! When we came back, the house was in perfect shape and the animals were happy and stress free. Definitely will use Erin again!
Carmen was fantastic! She stayed at our home and took great care of our dog; she even sent pictures of their walks and responded when we reached out to check on things. She washed all the linens she used and the house was just as we left it. We definitely recommend her and will use her again ourselves!

I have an older dog that I don’t like leaving with anyone other than my parents, so I was a little nervous, but Kelby did great. My dog loved her immediately, she stayed at my house, I got regular updates, and my house was just as clean as when I left it. Would definitely recommend!

Stephanie watched both my dogs over a holiday. She has house/dog sat for me before. One of my dogs has a seizure disorder so I’m picky about who watches them. Both dogs loved Stephanie and I was able to enjoy my time away knowing they were in good hands. I highly recommend her.

Cristel is amazing! She stayed with our pups at our house while we were gone and sent us photos each day. Our dogs were relaxed and happy when we got home so we know they got plenty of exercise and enjoyed spending time with Cristel. We will happily book Cristel again for future trips!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Little Elm walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Little Elm maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Little Elm choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
