About: I have been pet sitting for several years ever since I was around the age of 13. Additionally, I work at Anderson Humane in South Elgin as a kennel tech and have been working there since August! I have worked with many different animals as a Kennel Tech, I also have experience with administering medicine and I am Fear Free certified. My animal experience is very important to me as I plan on majoring in animal science on the pre-vet track this upcoming fall when I head off to college! :) I work part time but I have plenty of time to care for your pets otherwise. She came over every day to walk her while I was away and my family was working. She even checked to make sure my dog was given her medicine and gave it to her if needed. I got messages/updates and pictures every day which really put me at ease. Not only did she take excellent care of my baby, but she also checked in on me to see how my trip was, which was really nice of her. Stephanie really went above and beyond just walking Charlie, she took the time to make sure she had everything she needed and gave her plenty of love. I will absolutely use her in the future!!”

About: I’ve owned cats and dogs my whole life! I love both! I also rode horses for many years and have had friends with bunnies and rodents so I have experienced many types of animals I’m a college student! Tuesdays and Thursdays mornings i’m in an elementary school and Wednesday’s I spend my whole day on campus as well as Thursday afternoons. I’m free most of the time ! I don’t board animals due to my own pets. But i adhere to any schedules and routines done in the home. I also respect others property. I always leave the place clean and tidy after staying and make sure to communicate anything necessary.

About: I have always loved every different kind of animal out there, but spent my childhood with mostly just cats. 15 years ago, I adopted my first puppy, a German Short-haired Pointer, at the age of 8 weeks. My ex-husband and I decided to take the "treatless training" approach which was a huge success! Crate training, leash training, obedience training were all a collaborative effort and turned out extremely well. 10 years later, we adopted a sweet rescue named Gizmo who was already 7 years old, but became part of the family immediately. They have both passed on now to doggy heaven, but I am always the first to offer to care for other family member's pets anytime I can :) I'm currently working part-time from my home in Blackberry Creek and always have time for some fur-ball company. My 2 girls, 7 and 10 years old, are with me part time and are also very helpful, gentle and patient with our pets and hopefully yours! I have a fenced back yard with plenty of room for your fur-baby to play and exercise! If it better suits you, I can always come to your home as well for potty and play time :) UPDATE 6/8/26 - Since starting my Rover journey in 2022, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting so many amazing pets and their wonderful families. Along the way, our household has grown and changed in ways I never expected. In 2023, one of my regular Rover pups (actually a senior pup) became a permanent part of our family. Tigger’s owner had rescued him from a Chicago Animal Shelter just months before I began caring for him. As a 100 lb. Staffordshire Terrier, Great Dane, Bully, etc. mix, Tigger was a big boy with an even bigger heart. His owner dedicated to helping him become the best version of himself, especially since he wasn’t always comfortable around other dogs. With patience, training, and love, he blossomed into the sweetest, gentlest giant you could imagine. When his owner unexpectedly passed away, her husband reached out to ask if I would consider adopting Tigger. My answer was immediate: absolutely. I couldn’t bear the thought of him returning to a shelter. Bringing Tiggy into our family was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. My girls and I were lucky enough to love, spoil, and cherish him for three wonderful years before he crossed the Rainbow Bridge. We miss him every day, but are so grateful for the time we had together. Since then, we’ve also welcomed two adorable brother cats into our home. They keep us smiling and full our days with plenty of fun and affection. While our family has grown, we’re excited to have some doggy energy back in the house through Rover! When your pup stays with us, they’ll be welcomed with open arms and treated like a part of the family. We understand how much your pets mean to you because we’ve experienced firsthand just how special that bond can be. Our promise is simple: we’ll care for your furry family member with the same love, attention, and respect that we give our own. About: Hi Dog lovers! My name is Abigail and dogs have been a part of my life since I can remember. Growing up I was responsible for walking, feeding and pouring attention into our two German shorthaired pointer dogs. When my neighbors would go on vacation they would ask me to watch their four dogs and I also became the 'go to' person when their dogs would get loose in the neighborhood. Fortunately, that never happened on my watch! My current dog is a high energy Pitbull Lab mix, who thinks he is a lap dog. :) Most of the dogs I have worked with have been in the 50-60 pound range but I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes and personalities. Is your dog older? No problem, I can sit and give them lots of love or take them on a gentle walk. Is your dog high energy? Again, no problem, I have one of those of my own and I can play fetch or tug-a-war with them! I have no problem administering medicine if needed too. During the school year I work in a high school and coach swimming so my availability is from 3:30pm - 6:00pm, and anytime on the weekends. During the summer my schedule is much more flexible during the week and weekends. I consider myself a dog magnet because any time I encounter a dog, even for the first time, they like to jump on me or wiggle their butts, seeking my attention! Providing walks, belly rubs, and playing fetch are my jam. Dogs mean the world to me and I would love the opportunity to shower your fur babies with attention. During the school year, I am available 3:30pm - 6:00pm and weekends. During the summer (June & July) I have flexibility in my schedule every day. I am comfortable taking dogs to the park, walking them or playing with them indoor home/yard. If it is a high energy dog, I can also take them for a run.

About: I have been around dogs since I was a little kid when my dad trained dogs for field trials. I adopted a shelter dog with behavioral issues and had her for over 11 years until she passed last fall. I am great with dogs that pull or have leash aggression. I would love to take care of your pet until we're ready to adopt the next addition to our family! I'm currently a stay at home mom with a toddler & I have pretty open availability to take care of your pet on their schedule! Our house is totally toddler proof, which makes great pet proofing as well. We also know all the best sniffing routes for walks. In your home, we'll treat it with respect and the utmost care!

About: I’ve had Dogs since I was little. I currently have 2 German Short Haired Pointers which is a very high energy breed dog. With that being said I’m comfortable and able to care for small to big dogs including high energy fur babies🐾 I’ve also been a Nanny for 4 years and care for toddlers so i’m ready for anything! I’m currently working part time as a nanny while attending ECC for Nursing. This allows me to have a flexible schedule to care for your pet(s)! Having owned dogs my whole life i’m comfortable with any care your pet may need. For example, giving dogs medication as my own dog is very stubborn about it.

About: I grew up around a variety of animals my whole life and I have been caring for others pets since I was 13 years old. I have always loved animals and treat everyone's pets as if they were my own. My senior year of high school I created my senior project around therapy dogs and helping special needs children. I trained my own dog to be a certified therapy dog through the organization known as Pet Partners. The remainder of the project was visiting with special needs children and doing educational activities. We also visited libraries and young children with developing their reading skills. I recently graduated from Purdue University with an Animal Science degree which has allowed me to gain even more knowledge on how to care for people's pets. I also have knowledge of animal CPR and first aid for cats and dogs. I'm looking forward to being apart of this pet care community and providing excellent care to all the pets I encounter.

About: I have grown up with small dogs and large dogs. Between Shih Tzus, Aussies, labs, huskies and more, I have been around them all. I currently have four Aussies in our family home that I care for everyday. They are very energetic dogs so I am always playing with them outside or taking them on walks. As well, I have volunteered at many animal shelters and currently volunteer at my college animals shelter. It has given me lots of experience with dogs of all sizes, needs, energy levels, and comfort levels. As well as time spent socializing with the cats!
